I've never done a retreat, but I grew up in IA only about an hour away (would do field trips there, and Easter Dinners with my grandparents), and now live in Orlando...I also lived in Kansas City for 3 years and did visit the cross stitch store you've mentioned in Liberty, MO 20+ years ago, so have enjoyed hearing about some of the same places I've shopped at. ;) It was a messy Friday in FL, a good day to stay in and stitch! Everyone showing all their Christmas stitching plans. I get my second cataract done nov 15 so no stitching for week then slowly. Sigh I just want to do some!! Loll finishing a small house ornament for my mil for Christmas, and have 1 done. After my eye is done and able, have to fully finish my grandson’ s stocking. Lol your non compliant husband! And oh yea the grandkids do wear you out for sure!! Lol we have 11, 10 yr old, and a 3 yr and 3 month old. Whew. Lol. Love all the smalls. Lots to decide on.

It's great to know that you go through the same angst when trying to decide what to stitch next. I just started Christmas stitching and my sewing room looked like a hurricane went through it. I was going to do the black sampler November and either stitch the new Whilst Iris Naps band sampler or the Primitive Hare's A Stitcher's Sampler, but my daily focus piece is Fraktur Flowers by La-D-Da that I want to get done by the end of the year so that it replaces my pieces that have words from Christmas Carols that hang over my piano during Christmas. THERE JUST IS NOT ENOUGH TIME!!!. It was fun to watch you show the things that you want to stitch and can't wait to see what you end up getting to. I have a "radar" basket, but it has become too small to put all of my radar items in it.
It was great seeing the weather report 😂. Great video as always. I started working on a Christmas pin keep and ended up starting gobble gobble by stitching with the housewife’s. I don’t even know how that happened. Thanks for all you do for us.

I also did one that’s very long and I don’t want to frame it I’m looking for an alternative way to use it I wanted to maybe put stuffing behind it and puff it out and then just unframed it and hang it behind my piano but I’m really low on ideas so I thought you might have some advice for me . thank you

Hi Carol! I have been going through all my Christmas patterns as well, trying to decide what I want to stitch for this year. I am stitching Peppermint and Holly by WTNT while I watch you. I didn’t have WDW Twilight, so I am doing it on WDW Gunmetal. It’s just a little bluer, but it looks just fine. I am about halfway finished, so it will be done in plenty of time. I had to pause you and order the Stacy Nash December one you showed. I have wanted it since it came out, so I just ordered the PDF and schoom, here it comes! Fun video! Carol, You are a joy to watch and I feel like we are "stitching sisters"! Although I don't do quilting (yet), I LOVE cross stitching, Primitive decor, Samplers, lots of Christmas smalls, & Brighton! We are about the same age and I laughed out loud on your rant of junk mail and obnoxious robo calls! I never dreamed retirement would be filled with so many unanswered phone calls:-) Thanks for brightening my day! ( And thanks to your helpful hubby,too!)

I love watching your videos, and I can definitely relate to trying to decide which project to begin next...I have collected so, so many designs...love them all...I ponder over them and consider working on 2, 3 or 4 projects together...oh, it is so very exciting! I love cross stitching!
Loved your video! Love the weather report for what’s on your radar! Isn’t being able to spend time with grands wonderful-but can be tiring… ours are 11, 9, 7, 5 and 2 years. They are all at our house every Friday night for dinner and every Sunday for dinner! Your stitching is so beautiful!
I seriously don’t know how you manage to get so much done AND longarm for others. I’ve limited my longarming to only a few friends and I still feel I don’t have time to work on my own quilts. You must work like the Energizer bunny. lol

I just finished not forgotten farm Thomas about two weeks ago and he is gorgeous. My husband and I made a finish that looks a lot like Laurie Holts if you look at her latest floss tube. She is as amazing as you are❣️!

The one that will definitely be finished is Land that I Love by Teresa Kogut. And then I have three quilts that are on my radar. I think I might have to hire a house cleaner!!!😃

Amazon has spoiled us when it comes to shipping 😂 I also believe in supporting my LSN but given the price of gas these days online is so tempting and we can stay home and stitch.
It's great to know that you go through the same angst when trying to decide what to stitch next. I just started Christmas stitching and my sewing room looked like a hurricane went through it. I was going to do the black sampler November and either stitch the new Whilst Iris Naps band sampler or the Primitive Hare's A Stitcher's Sampler, but my daily focus piece is Fraktur Flowers by La-D-Da that I want to get done by the end of the year so that it replaces my pieces that have words from Christmas Carols that hang over my piano during Christmas. THERE JUST IS NOT ENOUGH TIME!!!. It was fun to watch you show the things that you want to stitch and can't wait to see what you end up getting to. I have a "radar" basket, but it has become too small to put all of my radar items in it.
It was great seeing the weather report 😂. Great video as always. I started working on a Christmas pin keep and ended up starting gobble gobble by stitching with the housewife’s. I don’t even know how that happened. Thanks for all you do for us.

Carol I did my Winter Rose Manor on Winter Brew and it turned out gorgeous. You will be very happy with the results. Love seeing all your kitted Christmas and winter charts and it’s nice to have choices!!! Rev Squashbottom is so cute!!! So agree with you on the Medicare commercials and the auto renewal calls. I love the things you create! I see that you have one in one of your introduction pictures there is a long rolled piece I think it has pumpkins on it. It’s lovely. I also did one that’s very long and I don’t want to frame it I’m looking for an alternative way to use it I wanted to maybe put stuffing behind it and puff it out and then just unframed it and hang it behind my piano but I’m really low on ideas so I thought you might have some advice for me . thank you

Hi Carol! I have been going through all my Christmas patterns as well, trying to decide what I want to stitch for this year. I am stitching Peppermint and Holly by WTNT while I watch you. I didn’t have WDW Twilight, so I am doing it on WDW Gunmetal. It’s just a little bluer, but it looks just fine. I am about halfway finished, so it will be done in plenty of time. I had to pause you and order the Stacy Nash December one you showed. I have wanted it since it came out, so I just ordered the PDF and schoom, here it comes! Fun video!
