Hello Carol, your quilt show was great I will watch for more I may not make quilts but I sure do love looking at them. All of your samplers are just beautiful and show a life well lived, I do however feel bad that so many stitched pieces are in jail in the old under the bed box, lots of my finishes are in the drawer under the bed I am slow and far to picky with myself so I am behind. Your Miss Lucy Calcutta 1825 is fabulous!! I’m doing the the Lucy Calcutt 1826 right now and I have the 1825 too. I stay up till 1 or 1:30 am too lol but can’t pull a double night shift without 😴 Wait till Nicole sees how much you’ve done, she’ll drop her quilting to compete😂😂😂😂Maybe she’ll take it on her visit to her Moms in Florida this month. Your floss tube episodes are always welcome here. Love borders too but do as I go along. I have Peacock ,unicorn and badger all ready to go . Even found a great project bag with a beautiful peacock on it. But i am cheating doing it on seaweed so I will not be doing full coverage. I did A parrot, leopard and lion also by The Scarlet letter and did not do full coverage either. My favorite piece.

I saw this episode twice. Your stitching projects are always extra special. Yet I can’t reconcile the paradox between your love of primitive samplers and the bold colors and designs of some of the Scarlett House but I’m sure all will be beautiful.
Just catching up on my Flosstube watching and I'm so glad I am... I LOVE the idea of using the applique pins... I've been dragging my feet to FFO my pieces cause I didn't want to futz with the beads... I stopped the video and ordered some ... they'll be here tomorrow... thank for sharing this idea!!

Wow Carol!!!! 😱 what a wonderful video today! I could comment for several minutes but I’ve narrowed it down to the pink house sampler. I made that a little over a year ago in honor of my mother who passed away Mother’s Day weekend 2017. So I started it on her birthday which was October 24 and I finished it on her date of death. I love this piece so much, she loved pastels and pink so it was perfect! She was such a special mother and person in my life and I miss her so much! 🥹💞

great video! Your framed lives are absolutely gorgeous! Nice collection of future stitches also. When I get charts in those awful bags, I open them & stick the flap to the I side. It saves you from damaging your chart. Marilyn
Lucy Calcutt is beautiful and is going to soon be number 32 for samplers that need framed! Yikes! LOL!! Thank you for the beautiful borders parade of charts and finished samplers. Absolutely stunning! You are such an inspiration! Thanks so much for the tip about the applique pins. I will get some on my next trip to the store for floss. I haven't started any of the Keeper of the Pins or I Collect smalls yet because I have been too busy stitching very small samplers. I think I now have six pieces waiting for me to frame, but I just keep stitching more! LOL!! I have a miter saw and the right clamp to make my own frames. It is a lot of work, but I am happy I can do it myself. I still work full time so it is a matter of finding the time to cut and assemble the frames.

There is most definitely crying in cross stitch, LOL! It’s usually followed by time out or serious frogging. I laughed when you mentioned Alma Adams was shorter than your name. My name is short but just doesn’t seem right on a sampler. I’m never quite sure what to use when sampler suggests personalizing with stitcher’s name. Maybe I need adopt the stitching equivalent of a nom de plume. :)

Lucy Calcutt is beautiful and is going to soon be number 32 for samplers that need framed! Yikes! LOL!! Thank you for the beautiful borders parade of charts and finished samplers. Absolutely stunning! You are such an inspiration! Thanks so much for the tip about the applique pins. I will get some on my next trip to the store for floss. I haven't started any of the Keeper of the Pins or I Collect smalls yet because I have been too busy stitching very small samplers. I think I now have six pieces waiting for me to frame, but I just keep stitching more! LOL!! I have a miter saw and the right clamp to make my own frames. It is a lot of work, but I am happy I can do it myself. I still work full time so it is a matter of finding the time to cut and assemble the frames.

I do enjoy your channel so much. I also enjoyed the quilt show. Wish I could do both. Haven't quilted in about 6 years and my place is way too small to do any quilting as well as stitching. You always inspired me and make me chuckle. You are so down to earth. Keep on stitching xx

Carol, thank you! I am learning so much from you about samplers and threads and especially seeing your stitched pieces versus viewing patterns on my phone. I want to stitch all the things!!! There is most definitely crying in cross stitch, LOL! It’s usually followed by time out or serious frogging. I laughed when you mentioned Alma Adams was shorter than your name. My name is short but just doesn’t seem right on a sampler. I’m never quite sure what to use when sampler suggests personalizing with stitcher’s name. Maybe I need adopt the stitching equivalent of a nom de plume. :)
