Emulating the Fanatec shifter is a genius way to make it console compatible!
Big 🧠
Happy to see what amounts to a small local business out of my state providing high end Sim racing gear.
It is a bit loud. But still very nice.
Great video.
Brooo… that intro looked like a movie, even the shots of it looks like an ad. Keep up the lovely quality ❤
Thank you 🙏 more to come :)
Awesome video once again, I discovered you a while ago and ever since you've been my favorite simracing youtuber
Honored ✋
That looks like an awesome bit of kit!!! Great video!!

epic editing on that intro with the shifts
Very late this time smh. I’ll let it slide tho 👍
Great video again OC 😁 I received my Fanatec gear yesterday and i won't go back ever again 😅😁
your editing is awesome
Killer intro! and camera work; I love your creativity! Great in-depth review, as always! I first saw this shifter on Aero Veloce's channel, and it piqued my interest; I've never tried a dedicated sequential shifter before, but this has me curious now 👀 p.s. that sound is so satisfying, but my wife would undoubtedly kill me If I was using that late at night while she's trying to sleep 🤣
stay tuned for a quieter, smaller, less expensive, yet still very, very tactile shifter... coming soon!
@@oktanedesigns 👀
Wow this thing is beautiful. I want to feel the shift!
Table clamp? I’m desperately trying to upgrade my shifter from FANATEC to this thing cuz I LOVE CLACK!
I can't thank you enough for capturing the true sound of this shifter. Many people ask me about it, and I'm unable to accurately portray it.
Like OC says, this shifter is loud. Though, to put it in perspective, at the highest tension, it requires about 16 lbs of force to actuate. At medium tension, about 10 lbs, and at the lowest tension, about 6 lbs (which is about what the Aiologs shifter requires to actuate). When you bring the independent throw setting inward to its shorter positions, the noise of this shifter decreases substantially, since there is less momentum behind the internal mechanism when returning to center. Each tension setting shown in this review is shown at the longest throw.
Also, European spec aluminum extrusion (which is what 6-Sigma rigs use), is much thinner than others, and therefore resonates a lot more.
Stay tuned for another standalone shifter coming soon. Smaller, quieter, less expensive, yet still tactile. (and of course, Fanatec compatible)
awesome job with this mate. question, do you own a shop? where is this made?
@@fitchyyboi i don't own a shop. I have all the metal parts cut by a third-party in the USA. All the design, development, assembly, testing, etc is done by me though, in Ohio.
Thats the most sexy intro ever to a sim racing produkt🔥
I ABSOLUTELY Love mine. I believe I got the first black powdercoated ones he did.
you did indeed! Yours is the only true matte black one out there! truly one-of-a-kind. glad to hear you're enjoying it!
Fanatec needs to do more of this, allowing third party equipment into the ecosystem. I'm sure they would have more wheel plate options and multiple quick release solutions on the market by now, if they allowed it.
As for the Oktane shifter, damn... If Oktane makes an H-pattern, expect it to rival Quaife's sim racing H-pattern. That is one serious looking sequential.
Thanks for checking it out! H-Pattern is on the drawing board, but still a long way off.
@@oktanedesigns Great that you manage to have it work on console!! Are you able to do sonething about the sound of it? As it really makes it hard to use at night etc
@@giogamer4825 I have something in the works. Stay tuned :)
@@oktanedesigns Looking forward to OC reviewing it. I am tuned :-)
@@oktanedesigns Are you thinking about having be a gated shifter option like classic race cars and very few super cars but is a option alot of people want in a car? Which I think their are like 3 on the market right now.
Subscribed hope you make it to 100k
Currently using a simagic q1 sequential shifter and love it. It is also loud and satisfying to use. But now i am considering selling it to pick one of these just to eliminate the extra usb 😂.
That looks very heavy lol good vid oc!
Great video as always OC 🎉🔥🔥🎉
Wish my wheel stand could handle it.
1. Side note….But that button box😮 curious which one it is.
2. Can i use it with a wheel stand 2.0
3. If not any recommendations 😢 lol
4. Side note the production value loving it man keep it up!!!
I have the same shiftknob on my Logitech shifter with 3D nox shiftknob adapter bought the shiftknob on wish and the g-mod shiftermod love the look of it
🔥video and useful.
That it works on Console is really great!!! Wauw. I hope the maker see your review and can do something about the sound of it, as it really make it dificult to use it at night, so a deal breaker for allot

Super cool
Have you tested the simagic sequential shifter? Im having a hard time deciding between the two!
You should review when you have chance in the Logitech pro wheel and pedals
Hi! Thanks for bringing this to my attention, will definitely be picking this up to use with my fanatec wheel base. Is there any similar options for pedals or handbrake that can plug into fanatec wheel bases? fanatec don't really have the high end covered very well for pedals or handbrake and I wouldn't mind upgrading!
I've heard great things about the Fanatec CSL Elite Pedals V2. Feel free to reach out to me on Discord and i'll be happy to provide more recommendations.
@@OCRacing Yep, The CSL Elite V2 are at the top of my shopping list at the moment since there doesn't appear to be any other aftermarket pedals that are fanatec/console compatible as I'd like to use it with PS5 and GT7. I considered using Drive Hub but would prefer to not to use adapters and workarounds.
eating while watching this hits diffrent
Oh absolutely 😂
I almost bought the super expensive fanatec shifter for my newly bought csl 8nm kit.
I want a shifter but not thay expensive! I hope this thing works for PC indeed😊
yep! Works on PC with USB or Fanatec via RJ12 cable.
Did you make the ventilation your self? It can be seen at 3:14 to the left of your wheel.
How does the noise level of this shifter compare to the aiologs shifter? For example, does the medium tension setting equal the noise of the aiologs or what?
I've never used the Aiologs, but this shifter never gets "quiet", regardless of the settings. The shortest mechanism throw combined with the lowest tension will provide the least amount of noise, while still providing a very satisfying, tactile experience.
Wait, isn’t the fanatec h pattern already doubled as a sequential?
Moza handbrake/shifter review?
Me with a g29: hmmm very interesting
😂
Another great video! As for the shifter I do have one question. How does it hold up against the Thrustmaster TSS? Because the TSS is a shifter and handbrake, does the thrustmaster hold up against the oktane shifter well or does it fall behind?
You’ll have to wait for an in-depth, Seq. Shifter comparison video 👀
I've never used the TSS, but the SEQ on it's highest tension setting requires roughly 16lbs of force to actuate, and is extremely tactile.
need someone to make a h shift with this type of quality
Finally🎉
Back at it again with the reviews 😤😤

Also a serious comment. How do you get your smooth B Roll shots? What technique do you use and do you have specialty gear?
Can’t giveaway my secret formula like that 😂
@@OCRacing going to have to interrogate sponge bob for it then 💀
Can't speak for what OC uses, but a fluid tripod head and camera slider can really help 😉
please make a moza shifter review
can plug this and the fanatec H pattern into the DD gt pro base at the same time?
I haven't tested this personally, but it should work if you plug this sequential into the "shifter 2" port (it will act just like their standalone sequential paddles or the clubsport in sequential mode). Some of my customers have both connected on their rigs, so I'm assuming there are no issues).
@@oktanedesigns can confirm def works
Why pay more for this sequential shifter only when fanatects H patter shifter can also be a sequential shifter with a flip of a switch?
1,4k views while you have over 65k subs. Nice..
Also nice video, i really enjoyed it. I haven’t heard of this sequential shifter and in my opinion it’s a little bit overpriced by what it gives.
Not sure what you mean by that first comment… 🤔

The absolute legends 🤝
Is this shifter better than I need? Yes. Am I going to buy it because it supports a small business in the US? Absolutely.
Much appreciated!
Hey OC, I'm cato from Sweden. I've always wanted a sim rig that isn't absolutely dog poo when it comes to price or quality. My parents got divorced and they going through tough times financially. I always asked for one and they kept telling me that they would when they have the money which I'm starting to doubt. I'm entering my teens and I'm thinking about saving up money for a sim rig that doesn't suck but at the same time doesn't cost a small fortune for just the monitor. Do you have any suggestions? I'm doubting whether I'll have the opportunity to sim race at all.
If there is a supplier of aluminum profile in your area you can diy a rig for much cheaper. There are many diy tutorials on youtube to make your own rig. Definitely cheaper depending on your needs!
I would recommend going with a stand, the NLR Wheel Stand 2.0. As long as you have a chair to put in its wheel tray, it'll be significantly sturdier than the plastic lawnchair cockpits in its price range.
My neighbors would hate me so much

😂🤣
1:17 sigh... *opens comments*
Ok i know not every single comment is talking about that but just for hearing the word ohio makes me curious.
But the shifter looks hella good
What can I say? lol.
Fanatec had already a sequential shifter
The official Fanatec one is more of an H-pattern shifter first with the sequential being more of an afterthought
It's not an afterthought, it works just as well in either mode and is actually really handy for people like me who switch mostly between rally and driving older (90's) cars, I would have to have two gearsticks (and a handbrake) otherwise lol
"The one cheating in F1 22..."
😂😂😂😂🤣🤣
wow I thought they didn't even know what the hell a sequential shifter is😂. If someone ever says that we need a sequential shifter and fanatec probably looked at them like... what.🤨
:)
Back at it again 💪
@@OCRacing the shifter looks cool
This shifter is really strange. Yeah it's compatible with consoles, that's about where it ends for me.
Neither does it emulate real sequential gearboxes in feel, nor does it have the sound.
The shifter itself in a car isn't annoyingly loud - what you hear is the gearbox, depending on where it sits and if street or race etc.
So the sound has to come from the game shifting, not the shifter clicking like a toy for 10 bucks.
Also the shifter action looks way too digital. It appears to have no real shift action, it's more like a shift pedal just hitting a switch.
So at this point I'm wondering how it could be about immersion - this isn't immersive at all. I've never seen a track or street car with a shifter like this ever.
So if it's not about immersion, what is it about then?
I'd like to see the feel improved as well as the sound design. The mounting options should also be improved.
What I like is the console compatibility. That should be kept for sure.
The review to me feels lacking. It felt like an advertisement but it's not really weighting the important bits. Maybe you just need to sit in a real track car and compare the feel and sound and buy more shifters to get a base for a review. At this time I'd call it product placement instead.
Someone might think you own one from your opening statements. If you were a dissatisfied customer, I offer a full refund within 30 days of product shipment. No one has yet taken me up on that offer.
did he just said ( made in Ohio 🤣😳
The best shifter i've ever used was on the Logitech Driving Force GT. You need nothing more than that.
