After arriving late last night to Jakarta, the capital of Indonesia - it’s finally time to explore! Lucky for us our hotel is in a great area so just a little stroll away is the perfect place to have breakfast and start the day! Just enough delicious food to give us the energy to explore national monuments, a popular hot spot serving up nothing but good vibes, Kota Tua, and of course - arguably Indonesia’s most delicious dessert! 😍 With the heat beaaaaming, it’s been an incredible but an exhausting day! It certainly is! Had a great time in Jakarta as well, where I wandered around Chinatown and encountered so much variety of local food, from traditional ones to exotic ones. I never imagined a testicle soup to be a crowd favourite. 👀

You guys remind me of 2 of my friends that I met when im traveling Java 6 years ago. They are a couple from Netherland who want traveled around the world at time. I met them on Ship from Batam to Jakarta. Not just the couple, there was 2 man from Gremany and Italy joining the group. It was an amazing Journey back then. We talked and shared a lot of our experiences to each other on that ship. When we arrived at the Port of Tanjung Priok, though i didnt know the route to the nearest train station, i have to lead the way by walking nearly an hour. Simply because im the only one who speak local. A bit worrying back then, cause that was my first time too, i didnt know the exact route and im afraid because here, port and bus station is well known as one of the most dangerous place for stranger. There’s a lot of criminal activites happens. Plus, my new friends are a lot bigger than me, they have advantages in genetic. It was so hard to keeping up with their walkin pace. We carried like similar size of carrier, a 65 litre carrier. I couldnt feel my feet anymore hahaha. When we managed to reach the station, we nearly late. we have to catch the last train to downtown. On that train we decided to stay for a night at same motel. We, again, tosses stories, enjoying Jakarta’s night at Kota Tua and have a good meals together. A really fun and memorable night for me. Because before we are complete strangers to each other, but now i have a new friends tossing me some interesting perspectives to acknowledge. The husband, Called me Indiana Jones, because i carried a brown National Geographic camera bag and such a big mountaineering carrier for a local tourist. I acknowledge that as a compliment. Watching all of your videos bringing all those memories back. What an adventurous life a i got back then. I reminisced that version of me nearly all the time. I wonder to have that kind of experience once again. And to 4 Individuals that I met on a my journey in 2018, i wish a prosper and healthy life. More importantly, a pure happiness in life. I miss you guys, just like i miss the old version of me. And also for both of you, just like Ricky the owner of food counter said in one of your videos said, Enjoy Indonesia! And enjoy every journey you guys have now and in the future. Carry on!

Do you know how many foods I want to eat in one bite? But CAN’T 🤨😝there’s Dylan -Mr ONE BITE all at once😳and he’s not choking! 😝cracks me up everytime! I think one bite gives you ALL the flavors so I’m kinda envious coz I’m small and can’t do it lol. I hear Indonesia has THE best food anywhere, and of course Java with their coffees so I’m glued to the screen. I don’t know how you travel with such ease in the heat and humidity. We in Phoenix are in the beginning of our infamous heat waves and we’re melting! Still 104* at 10oclock at night! Even watching for the rain that’s problematic for walking around unless raincoats. Any ‘moisture’ makes it hotter tho lol. Enjoy oh and save some desserts for the rest of us lol 😂. Safe travels🙏🏻❤️🦩💨

You go to wrong train station, its Gambir station, it doesnt service cummuter trains, only service middle and long distance trains to central and east java. So, if you realize all commuter trains just passing by at Gambir station, they wont stop. Have a nice adventure guys

I have watched the whole video now, and saw that the girls asked to have a photo taken with you as they did with my son and i when we were there. Which propted me to say, in general, the people there are lovely. The hotel staff where we stayed were so accommodating and respectful. I had a lady friend who had passed away, and we were visiting her son who lives in Jakarta. It was amazing, we drank in an Irish pub, we ate in a Brazilian BBQ place, we ate fantastic pizza from a pizza chain restaurant. People go to shopping plazas all night, i asked my friend why, he said because few have aircon at home! I couldnt stay there without air con! Thanks for showing Jakarta, i have fond memories of the place and the people. Oh, one thing that did get to me was all the hotels had a sweet smell/deodorisers. And the bread was sweet, I wasn't expecting that.

Sounds like you had an amazing first day in Jakarta! Those creepy clowns sound intense, but everything else looked awesome - especially the ice cream and Martabak Manis, that almost looked like a giant, delicious cookie!
Jakarta traffic can be rough, but I gotta say you shouldn't miss out on riding on a panoramic train!! The views along the ride are amazing, certainly one of the highlights of my recent trip in Indonesia which I also shared on my channel. Where are you headed next? 👀

Its a blond thing. The pictures. My son @14 y/o, really not that blond, but still blond, sat outside the Wasa museeum eating icecream and a large group of chineese ppl decended on him. He said ok to photos, but a distinct NO to hugging. (He is autistic.) LOTS of photos were taken. (He is really pretty, so I know that ppl pay attention, but this was DEF a blond thing.)
