    FAQ:
    Q: There is no Tetris "flash" after level 18. What's up with that?
    A: It is most likely due to frame loss during the video capturing process.
    Q: How did you start on level 18?
    A: On the level select screen, if you hold the "A" button and press the "Start" button, you will jump 10 levels depending on which level you chose.
    Q: Why did the score stop at 999,999?
    A: 999,999 is the highest score possible on this game. It does not roll over or go past 999,999.
    Q: Why did you stop on level 29?
    A: Once level 29 is reached, it is humanly impossible to effectively maneuver the pieces. The game was meant to end at level 29.

      lmfao triggered COD fanboy...I was there at one point too bro. I'm sure you'll see reality some day. Prize pools are so high because the franchise is so popular. Popularity= Lots of sales = lots of $$$. I know pubs aren't competitive. They're a joke lol also idk why I have to post about comp on my page... last game i played was ghosts (shit game) and this account was made waaaaaaaaaaayy after that xD. I'm not saying COD isn't fun, isn't popular. It definitely is. But compared to other e-sports, the skill gap is laughable.
      So lemme retract my previous statement and say this: COD takes way less skill than other esports. Not denying that it takes SOME skill, but not a whole lot.

    • @ToxicBrainSludge
      @ToxicBrainSludge 7 років тому +17

      quit saying it's chess to try to legitimize it or make it sound like a 'smart' game. it's not chess, it's cod. not denying it takes skill, but quit calling it chess. they're two totally different things. even if CoD has some strategy in it, so does tetris and so would 2p vs dr mario. so does anything at a competitive level. that doesn't make it chess.

    • @amadeuz8993
      @amadeuz8993 7 років тому +7

      yes because pay has a correlation to skills lol. as for there being more people trying to knock the top players from the top...the CoD eSports community has been dying for years. viewership on streams have gone down. it has a competitive aspect but its a way more casual game than counterstrike or LoL with way more (quantitatively) casual players and it is very noob friendly. people arent constantly tryin to rank up to a higher skill group or any of that. tbh i think CoD should add something like ranks into the game to revitalize the community or give it a sort of boost. like i said, I'm not saying COD isn't fun, isn't popular. It definitely is. But compared to other e-sports, the skill gap is laughable. very easy game to master.
      that being said, my mom smashed my console when i was a senior in high school. since then i been playing PC games competitively like Counterstrike and LoL. like i said i was master division in BO2 but when i arrived on csgo, i was destroyed by everyone. there was so much new stuff to learn like smoke spots on 5-7 competitive maps, movement (effects aim), counterstrafing, spray patterns of like 6 different guns, holding angles, rotations, how to manage economy and eco rounds, aiming at head instead of body/chest, bhoping, etc. I been playing for about 3 years now and im only gold nova 3-4 (very average rank) in competitive play. that can just show you how much complexity there is compared to CoD (again not saying there isnt complexity to CoD or it isnt a fun game or its not fun to watch, just there is comparitively MORE complexity in cs or league or these other esports). you could be a master in CoD but only gold in csgo. just look at Bigtymers csgo series on his channel that he used to do. I think he made it to like master guardian or something (little better than gold). Even before that series started, he had experience in counterstrike so that should say a lot.
      also i think im pretty decent at chess

      Yes, this is true,. but at the time the game was released, the Russian flag had only the color red because Russia was still part oft the USSR. It could also have been a subversive message, because the old Zarist Russian flag has the same colors as the modern one, but because the colors are different in every level, I guess it was just a coincidence.

    well i believe that this person was using hacks because he knew wat block is next and he knew exactly wer to put it When I was 12 I had my first sexual experience. At the time, I lived in a little suburb outside of Cleveland and anyway, the girl next door and I were really good friends. Our parents were both gone for the day and she was over playing Transformers with me. So anyway, we kinda got.. Bored I guess? And we started playing truth or dare, which turned into 'you show me yours, I'll show you mine". So anyway there I Was, 12 years old, heart pounding, blood rushing in my ears, and the chick (who was a year older than me actually) takes off her panties and hikes her little skirt up. So What did I do, you ask? I whistled for a cab, and when it came near, the license plate said "fresh" and there were dice in the mirror. If anything I could say that this cab was rare, but I thought "naw forget it, yo home to bel-air!" I pulled up to the house about seven or eight and I yelled to the cabbie "yo homes smell ya later!" Looked at my kingdom, I was finally there. To settle my throne as the prince of bel-air.

    In 2016, I would be wondering why he's playing "backwards", but still floored.
    In 2017, having watched two different CTWC's, I'd be wondering when Twin Galaxies would lax their position on the score cap.
    In 2018, I would be simultaneously treating this as the eulogy for old timers while also kind of excited for the new class of player.

      kitaru2004 no idea...I'm playing on an emulator, and at 19 it comes down at an impossible speed...also whats up with it being 4 levels behind? For expample his hitting 140 lines is = to me hitting 100 lines, so when i'm at 190 lines he's at 230 lines thus having a higher score

    • @KitaruTC
      @KitaruTC 10 років тому

      If you start on Levels 10-19, there is line scaling that makes the game shorter -- it makes it about equally difficult to max-out starting from any level, instead of the higher levels being too easy. He is starting at 18, so it takes 130 lines to progress to 19.

      Well, this is recognized by the official Tetris websites and channels. As is the case with many world records, it is possible other players have set better records, but the important thing is that this score was submitted for verification. It wasn't a mere screenshot of a score or some rumors passed around message boards in the early days of the internet.
      Also, the world record of over 1,000,000, only reachable with a Game Genie code, has only been achieved recently, by someone who can attest to the legitimacy of Harry Hong.
      If you're also very familiar with this version of Tetris, you would know how insanely difficult it is. It was an entirely new game from Russia so it took a while for players to become good at it. Even if there were people who maxed the game before Harry, it's irrelevant because they never submitted a record that was verified.
      Go check out Harry's stream on Twitch if you doubt his skills. He maxed out twice just yesterday during a competition.

    @d2girls In this game, Levels 19-28 are the fastest speed that is indefinitely sustainable. Once you reach Level 29, the gravity restricts your play to the bottom few rows. The only feasible strategies for reaching Level 30 are to have a very tall stack and center gap going in, or to be able to tap left/right incredibly fast to exceed the default autorepeat rate of 10 moves per second.
    Other Tetris games have mechanics such as lock delay or faster move speeds that make faster speeds possible.
