    Thanks 😊 I grew up in the Lakes and moved to Cornwall, equally as busy with tourism but warmer 😊

    Take me to the lakes where All the poets went to die. Those Windermere peaks look like a perfect place to cry

      It's unlikely many people will come to the Lakes to die. Finding somewhere to park is the biggest problem...

    There are some lovely places in the lake district but Windermere Ambleside and Keswick are very very touristy.

    Makes one wonder why you moved to the Lake District in the first place --- did you not know that it's famous and loved for its infinite rain and mists. As for the gloom it's just as bad and worse in London. The Lake District is there for people who adore walking in the rain, watching the mists in the valley from the side of a mountain.

      I moved via agency and never heard about the Lake District in England. The place just looked amazing from what I found online and was presented by the agency and employer. I had a VERY short time to decide. I did love the mist, especially at one point we lived in a place with views over Lake Windermere and it was amazing. I knew the weather in England was mostly rainy and wasn't planning on staying only 6 months to max 1 year. In the Lakes around winter, you have haze on a daily basis, multiple times a day, storms and rain nearly every day to the point you get stuck in floods and can't get home. Or can't even leave the house sometimes. I explained more in the video....Even if I loved rain before moving there, having the constant gloomy weather would get to a lot of people after a while. Hence the moving. Even though we moved 2 h away only, the weather is already better. I don't regret living there, I loved it there, felt like home, BUT it was time for a move. To each there own.

    I received offere letter from uni of Cumbria ambleside campus, but as per the present situations around world & uk bit confused about moving to which country

    • @TinaAbroad
      @TinaAbroad  11 місяців тому +1

      That is a very hard decision as I feel every country has it's good points and bad. It all depends on the person what is better matched for you. Ambleside is a very beautiful place to live in, we don't really know anything about the campus so we can't comment on that. All I can say is that it is a very safe area to live in compared to the rest of the country, but it is also a remote place if you are alright with that.

      @@TinaAbroad what about part time jobs and cost of living there

    • @TinaAbroad
      @TinaAbroad  11 місяців тому

      Part time jobs in hospitality should be plenty and seasonal in retail...cost of living is going up, same as everywhere else
