- The Sea of Thieves offers a wide range of exciting experiences you can start as soon as you begin your adventure. However, until now, some of the most engaging experiences, the many World Events, were left up to chance encounters. You could spend a whole sailing session and never find a Skeleton Fort or Ghost Fleet. Now, with the Quest Table, you can dive straight to almost any World Event on demand by simply voting for a Raid Voyage from your ship, anywhere, at any time!

I’m eagerly awaiting spreadsheets for each of these raid voyages, I’ve noticed that the reputation increase is insanely high for the ghost fleet. More about the rep than the gold.
It’s not good for Athena I will tell you that. Fort of fortune is basically none existent right now and the raid event gives not only less gold but less rep then an actual fort does for Athena.
@@brennancondon3357 Yeah true. Athena in general needs to be rebalanced because getting to 100 is going to be absolutely insane. I hope they reduce the grind after level 30 that way it’s still a grind but possible.

@@Mr.LegoGrievous they had no content ready for season 11 even though they have had almost a year to get ready for it. They just made the game as big a grind as they can to keep people playing since they actually added almost no new content.
It's been a great season so far. You can really tell the difference between the people who read and watched the videos explaining the new loot versus those who just jumped on and flamed after seeing less treasure😂
I am admittedly one of those people. However, we can cut people some slack since at no point did Rare ever explain that this is how the system would work.
It isn't bad, I love the new dive system. Just wish it was communicated a bit better.
lol they never mentioned any of the loot balancing in the trailers. I flipped when I learned the random trinket I got from a gold hoarder fort was worth 25k base
Although the ressources are way less than emergent world events, I really like the idea of loot for a specific company. Makes it easy to grind. And if you don’t agree with that, you can simply do the emergent world events.
Exactly. Raid Voyages are great for leveling a single Trading Company you want to grind.

I do enjoy doing the sea fort raid voyage as regardless of the smaller reward it still has its large stock of supplies so before I do my planned voyages, I buy a storage crate and clear a sea fort voyage. Within a span of a short time, have a good chunk of change to sell back at a port and more then enough supplies to last me the session.
Do the naysayers hear themselves? "I chose to do a raid event for a faction which immediately got me there uncontested and only got that factions loot which was worth less than getting mixed loot from sailing there organically" You're literally trading faction specific loot for rep over a total gold earned count. You can't complain that there's less loot goldwise when YOU decided that was your play! Don't like the payout? Don't dive! Roll the dice and take what comes with it, you're a pirate after all
An unmentioned buff is that since each individual piece of treasure is much more valuable, you're able to load it on your ship MUCH faster. That, and drive-by-sells when being pursued will be much more profitable to pull off

I feel the loot you get needs a buff adjusting for the risk you undertake, time taken and the fact you can really only do them once a session

Agreed. And the raid loot you receive should also include other high-value loot you normally would receive from the emergent World Event like Stronghold loot from Skullforts and Ashen loot from Ashen Winds, etc.
Exactly. Hell, the Spanish Fort for OOS has the same amount of skulls as a regular one, but without anything else...
I did a sea fort raid voyage and only got around 5-6 pieces of mostly low teir loot lol. AND the extra room you unlock with a key had no loot whatsoever.
The extra room having no loot is a bug the devs are working on

The biggest issue is fort of fortune. Raid event for Athena gives way less then an actual fort of fortune, it gives less Athena loot as well.
@@brennancondon3357 Well, you can't expect that simply doing raids for Athena would given the same, or even more Athena loot that FoF. After all, FoF is one of the only events (if we considered FotD as one) that gives large amounts of Athena loot.
Still, I do enjoy this, as it does not make FoF obsolete for Athena grind.
@@LachezarTsv what Athena grind? No one does Athena lmao. I’m always in the top ledger position and only do 4-5 LoV a month. They hurt the one company that desperately needed help, it makes no sense.

What I think is rare is trying to get us off our high (selling BIG stacks). Also I see raid voyages as a good emmisary starter. I dive to one and then once done I either go sell then dive for an ashen medley, or do a normal medley then sell. The emmisary quests and emergent stuff is just a nice bonus. Note: I haven’t really done athena yet.
The new fleet of fortune is cool, I took one on the other day and completed it uncontested. It dropped a load of loot.
I also came across a fort of fortune that another player was doing, I sunk them then continued the fort. The final boss was an annoying ashen. I made the mistake of going on my ship to try and use cannons. The boss threw those lava rocks that bombarded my ship. There was nothing I could do, before I could repair the holes and/or put out the fires the boss would launch another. Eventually my boat sank and i died, which I probably should have done before... I spawned at a nearby island and was able to sail back over and had the aggro off my ship because of that. It would've been advantageous for me to sink earlier... i couldn't sail away wither because my mast was down and I wasn't able to repair it for long enough to sail away.
I generally dive to a raid, drop a commission, (don't remember what they renamed them too), hit the closest sea fort, generally a skelly ship pops up clear it, sell drop emi re raise than dive again. I mainly do OOS, I'm top 40 global emissary score so I do it quite a bit. Not sure what routes would be beneficial for the other emis. Maybe ill check out GH tonight when I get on see what's best for me. Im also solo most of time, probably a more efficient way with another person

All the raid voyages are imo are starters for voyage. Like it's how you kick it off with some quick loot for good emissary rep.

Raid voyage loot is on par with ghost fleet loot in terms of value. The sea master chests usually net around 1500 a pop, that being said you're gonna wanna be doing ashen lords at the minimum because I've tried sea forts, sunken shrines and sunken treasuries and they only net you about 3 items for the first 2 and like 5 maybe 6 on treasuries, not worth the time tbh. Also ashen lords are the first one that actually drops any variant of the new "super" loot item for the companies.
Also the game will spawn you on events that are actively being worked on, I dived for an ashen lord and when I came up there were 3 guys on a brig fighting it.
Something I'm genuinely worried about is how much the new company uniforms are gonna cost, considering the regular pieces of the basic set / equipment are anywhere from 300k to 875k. I just started playing again after several months and I only have like 270k it's gonna be rough when I found out they cost like 3 mil a pop.
I actually dove to a Merchant Ashen wind's fight. When we arrived it was on the last wave. We started to fight the last wave when I was sword lunged in the back by a player. I made it back to my ship only to find a galleon rolling up. They had sank to the boss, thencwe popped up before they had come back. Just a heads up. (We sank them and got the loot as a sloop)
A few questions from somebody way too thirsty for the skelly curse
A: Can you do raid voyages for reapers to get reaper chests?
B; What is considered an uncontested raid voyage
C; Does this mean that every naturally spawning world event will eventually be taken by someone else through a raid voyage?
There are no Voyages for the Reaper's Bones specifically so you can sail around normally. An uncontested World Event is one that hasn't been started and doesn't have anyone else at it. You should be the first one to the World Event if you dive to it. It doesn't mean that every World Event will be taken over, it is just possible that it can be.
First off: The Skelly Curse requires hourglass PVP, so the raid voyages won't be helpful here.
A: Reapers don't offer any kind of voyage, they maintain the same style and only got vanity items and rewards added, nothing more about the actual gameplay.
B: Uncontested probably refers to World Events that were not startet yet by any crew. And likely there will be no player ship in a radius of two squares I would guess.
C: I would say yes, most world events will eventually be "claimed" or started by some crew from a different server diving onto yours, given the right circumstances. This could take some time but I reckon it will either be taken by someone or just despawn as it has always been the case.

If you want the skeleton fast, get a friend, use a free VPN, set your region to a continent that is currently 2:00am to 8:00am, and you can match with each other for fast asured wins.
The friend i play with disconnects everytime we dive to am i correct in thinking it has to do with diving changing servers?
well i think there is a glitch with the diving stuff bc when i first did it we resurfaced at a ashen winds but a brig was already doing.
Think I'll just stick to voyages.
On the bright side, farming ashen cargo runs has never been easier, you just have to make sure it's the executive one.

Question, does doing the raid voyage get rid of the world events? Example being if a world ship fleet event was active, if I voted for a skeleton raid will it get rid of the world event or will it still be there?
It will still be there because you need to dive to a different server for the World Event you voted for.
OK i have a big question. I need sunken barnacle chest so do they stil spawn on skeleton fleet when I dive with gold hoarders? And second concern if I’d just sail to this event old fashioned way there will be a good chance that it was already claimed by someone and there won’t be any barnacle chest’s there either.. am I’m right?
I did the new skeleton fleet on demand and got around 13 barnacle chests, so yes.

Are these raid voyages worth it for Athena’s Fortune or no. Also I do find it kinda annoying now that we don’t have nearly as much loot as we used to on the seas. I know I lot of it is worth more but it is fun to have a giant pile of treasure
Depends on your risk level? We think doing Legend of the Veil Voyage will be better for Gold and Reputation but that final tornado is a big cloud asking to be stolen.

Rare is trying to have less loot per event because a bunch of loot in one spot can add more lag to server. They upped the price and made it easier to grab a few pieces of treasure quicker and made it advantageous to the server and yet people still complain. It's crazy

Can you get raid loot from raid voyages if you are in safer seas?
Yep! You just can’t get the highest tier of it from the Burning Blade Raid Voyage since that requires Reputation Level 45.
Are there ghost captain skulls, in the Athena vault?

Raids for levels, voyages for loot
Is there anything known about the difficulty of the world events being altered for raid voyages? I had a feeling the Ashen Winds for example was defeated quicker than normal, could just be a feeling tho, as the ghost fleet I did afterwards seemed just the same
Raid Voyage World Events and emergent World Events mechanically are the same including difficulty. The World Events were all rebalanced though (except Burning Blade) in Season Nine so they are easier for solo players.

What if I manually sail to someone doing a skull fort and want normal skull fort loot but then it’s just someone doing a raid voyage and I don’t get what I want.
There's not much you can do. You can't tell them apart. However, on Skeleton Forts in particular, you can take a peek in the vault to see what kind of loot is inside and if you want to go for it.
Why am i losing athena rep after i finish ashen wind raid voyages?
We think that is a known issue that is being looked into. Not sure why it's happening :(

I'm a bit torn with the update. Obviously its good you can now really focus specific trading companies and get loot designed for them by doing world events that are actually fun, not brain numbing voyages. That said, leveling up the emissary is a bit of a pain, you dive to an event, do the event, not get rank 5 and then you have to go back and sell before doing it again, unless you manually sail or do some other activity before you do a raid for a trading company. You don't make it to level 5 in one go which means manual sailing, not maxing profit and rep or sacrificing one set of loot to dive to another event.
I'm really not a fan of the loot staying the same if the other crew decides to leave. The Sea Fort loot is kneecapped pretty heavily when it's raided and I'd be pretty pissed to open up the treasure room only to find the raid loot, since the raid loot for them is literally two basic bitch chests and two loose loot items.
Boy did they convolute the fuck out of this.

From our calculations, you are at least making double from the World Events for a particular Trading Company. It really depends if you are prioritizing Reputation or Gold.
I’m not really for this actually. Kind of makes this fee less like an adventure now.
You can keep sailing to the World Events which is nice. And there is most likely someone there since they probably dove to it.

Oh okay. We thought we kind of said all you need to know when we compared the Gold Hoarders Skeleton Fort to an emergent Skeleton Fort. Less Gold overall but more Gold for a particular Trading Company making it better for Reputation and Emissaries.
Raid voyages loot is hilariously bad.
As we mentioned in the video, we got 20k from a Gold Hoarders Skeleton Fort and 35k from an emergent Skeleton Fort. But, only 10k of that was for the Gold Hoarders.
The reputation payout is actually fantastic though, for the main trading companies anyway (one of the S-tier pieces of loot from doing a ghost fleet gets you half a level at 75). And it’s meant to encourage players to still sail to world events.

It's purely aimed at leveling the specific faction you aligned with, and in that instance, it's much better than normal world events.
Plus is basically on demand world events, they can't make it 'as good' as normal ones as it would be overpowered.
Some players only consider lot worth it if they can see multiple pieces of different colored treasures, they don't actually take into account the added value and faction rep Rare just helped.
this is safer seas 2.0 now they need to add the 100% gold to safer seas 1.0 😁
There's way more ship to ship combat going on since everyone is carrying loot now. Please actually play the content before claiming the sky is falling
I am seeing these raid voyages are not worthy doing. They take to long to do and give you very few loot and rep. Its better to just do the normal events. Plus now We can't stack level 5 emissary voyages anymore. I think the grind is worse
It seems like the Raid Voyages are great if you are focused on leveling up one Trading Company and not how much Gold you'll make overall. the raid voyages suck in comparison to just doing them normally
first thing i did when i got on is take on a raid on fort of the damned with merchants
got 3 crates which did barely anything for leveling it up compared to the normal amount of loot the forts hold
on top of that it wasn't the higher tier loot it was basic ass loot
when doing a normal fort of the damned gives chests of the damned ashes of the damned skulls of the damned etc
personally i think just go for normal world events or other voyages

They literally ruined! RUINED THE VOYAGES COMPLETELY! Buried treasures are one type of chest. You only receive one map with either 2 chest or 3 chest. If you cancel and try to get a different island with more chest. It gives you the same island with the same amount of 3 chest. Buried treasure were a lot of fun to do with different types and rarity chests. Getting more than 3-4 maps with one voyage quest. That even included a map that had over 8-9 chest in a single island!!
Season 11 is the worst season of sea of thieves!
