Can I catch the HUGE Fish that lives here? 😯

- Boat fishing for Pike and perch on England's biggest lake when I hooked something really big. But can I land it? Join myself, Andy from Rigged and Ready, Nathan from Outdoor Vibe and Neil from South Lakeland angling centre as we fish in the Lake district. We were both lure fishing for perch, and drop-shotting worms, and on the Pike fishing side of things we were trolling and casting.
I just wanted to quickly apologise for the lack of content recently, I've been away filming for a really exciting fishing competition, as well as a Japanese TV show so i've really had my hands full! Will be back up to full speed soon!
If you enjoyed this video, please don't forget to like and subscribe. It really helps me out! Drop a comment too and let me know what you think of the video!
You can see rigged and ready travel rods in the two mentioned stores, or alternatively find them online here: riggedandready...
Thanks for watching and hopefully i'll see you here for the next video!

Haha Jordan, that's a new one!
Hiya George and crew, some lovely fish but I wish you wouldn't upload these vids of you bagging numerous fish on Windermere lol, especially when I've blanked on all my visits, I must get out on a boat next time, went to meet Andy a few weeks ago and ruined his breakfast 😂 , what a great bloke he is , customer service is second to none, tight lines 🎣
Really nice guy isn't he! Yeah fishing on windermere can be really tough sometimes. A boat definitely helps!
Love the channel mate - want to visit a load of the spots you’ve gone to!
Keep up the great content 👍
Thanks mate glad you're enjoying the videos!
@@adventurefishingukcould you or do you have ‘a guide to start adventure video’ - think it would be cool to show a simple way to get into it/get started👍
Another fantastic action packed video George and its lovely to see that your subs are going up as well. Well done mate. Is Georgia still dipping the brush in , haven't seen her post anything for a while .
Thanks Mick! She is painting a bit, we're working on another project at the moment though which will be announced soon!
great video mate, lovely stamp of perch there!
Thanks mate!
Great video again George. Shame you lost that one at the boat without seeing it hopefully she will be hungry again next time for you.
Thanks mate, I really hope so. Would've loved to have had just a glimpse of it
Great upload as usual! I appreciate you don't ask for requests, but I'd love to see a shore based, salt water fly fishing video for pollack, bass etc..
Thanks mate! I'd love to have a go at that, unfortunately i'm no good at fly fishing. I need to learn!
Another class video hopefully see a loch awe pike perch trip
Would love to make it over there!
Great video George, another cracking location 👍
Thanks mate!

Great vid as always so relaxing
Thanks for watching!
Love pike fishing.
Same here!
Ah na the curse of messing with the clutch 😂😂😂😂😂 nice video though 👍👍👍👍
😂 I'm always guilty of that!
A good time had with those perch
Way back Windermere used to be famous for its huge numbers of perch and there was a commercial fishery there for them where they were caught and tinned.
Definitely! Yeah i believe the fishery played quite a big part in feeding the population over world war 2 too
Great video 👏🏻 Nice to see Andy - the others were a bit camera shy?! Will we be seeing any of the fishing competition or the Japanese TV show on this channel?
Thank you! No neither will be on this channel but you'll know where to find them!
Great vid, and thanks for not saying LAKE Windermere!!! There's only one lake in the Lake District......
Bassenthwaite?
Thanks for watching!
Wow looks amazing!
Thanks mate!
you got the best way your made man
Thanks mate!
Well played George shame that one came off. That could of been a double. Onwards and upwards bud 😊
I'm sure it was a double mate, oh well maybe next time i'll get it!
Great video ya sould get your own boat👍🎣😜
It's on my agenda, not for a few years I don't think. It was either that or a van conversion, and the van won 😂
Great content 👌
Thanks mate!
what a place to fish , just stunning
Thanks mate!
Hi mate just wondering what cameras you use I'm getting into making fishing videos and I use a go pro ATM but looking for something else that I can use to film for other than pov any advice would be really helpful. 🙂 Love the videos keep it up 😄
Thanks mate! I just use a gopro, my phone and a drone 👍
Top video again also enjoy the reality not every trip is a fish fest
Thanks mate! Yeah it's not always easy 👍
Does Windermere have char? Also have you ever caught a ferox trout? Maybe possible video down the line?
It has both of those yeah, easier said than done catching them though! I’d absolutely love to catch a ferox, hopefully one day
Deep line maggots on a feeder and you should hit them (char) as for ferox, a half mackerel but youll probs be tortured by pike lol, good luck on your travels
If you want to do a Ferox video I might put my boat on Windermere in the Autumn and go after them! It might be tough but worse case might catch a big pike 😂
Love piking but a cap man myself still will go for a lire sess tho my biggest is a 28 lber!
That’s a cracking fish mate, pretty much doubles my pb and I’ve been pike fishing for a few years now 👍
That's where i was yesterday!
Ah yes you’re right we only missed you by one day
great video, what setup did you use when catching the pike? 10:21
Rigged and ready predator rod and RR3000
Hooks looked small tbf on the redhead you lost a pike on.
Those were the ones we switched to after losing the fish, older ones were a little rusty!
How much do you make from youtube?
An impossible question it varies so much! Often it doesn't even cover my fuel to get to the fishing spot and day ticket cost, but sometimes it can be more. Depends how many videos I make, how long they are and how well they perform
You spend your time n money to go fishing on Windermere, and then you put on some old lure, with rubbish hooks on 😬
I believe he caught a fish or two so your point is 🤫
He got few small fish n lost big one, so you comment is...
Still managed a few fish mate, fishing isn't always about catching the most/biggest for me! It's as much about enjoying being outside and having a good laugh 👍 Would have definitely been nice to land the biggun tho!
I know.
I just try to give you advice to not use old hooks. As you can see those attached to your lure, which you lost fish are not the best shape n quality. Old design hooks. New ones wide n sharp are much better choice.
One time I catch some big salmon on old Toby found on the bank. But I land it only because I replaced old used hook on it :)
Tight lines,
Konrad.
@@konradkurowski6763 thanks for the advice! Those were the hooks we swapped over to, believe it or not! The first were rusty
