My oldest son who is almost 40 now, he has had mental health issues since he was a teenager. My ex-husband encouraged the abusive behavior toward me and his siblings. I was the one who called the police several times. The police officers were like the father that he should have had for discipline. They were always on my side. My ex husband had a horrible reputation. My son did great for a long time. Then unfortunately, he got involved with a couple of criminal women. It is not ending well. I went to the police about some of the things they were involved in. He is not permitted back in my home or around us. My ex-husband think that's just wonderful. It's very sickening!

There's an old Spanish saying: "Cria cuervos y te arrancarán los ojos". Raise crows and they will pulled your eyes out. In other words you can raise a child and you can surely be surprised of what they are capable of doing. Unfortunately, parents are not raising children with a structure and base. Religion and faith plays an important part in child's life. With all respect, even though many don't believe in it. As long as you don't go to the extremes. Faith can help immensely. The world, community and society has gotten horrible.

I have a very similar story. The woman who stabbed me lives down the road (within 6 miles). A complete stranger but neighbor.. she is asking the state of California to release her early, and they gave her a court date. 😱 Only got 16 years to begin with. I was her 2nd random stabbed (aka hate crime), her family filmed it (luckily for me in the end, the investigaters used it in court) she was only out of prison for 2 months from her first release to when she did it again to me. Stabbed 7 times, cut from my ribs to my pelvis, my leg and arm still hurt, still have problems 6 year later (now). She had absolutely nothing to give, I never sewed, I lost my home, car, bills that didn't get covered by the "victim witness program". I'm STILL dealing with what she has done and she is being looked at for release.

They all should have been charged with aiding and abetting. I don’t believe they were trying to protect their child. Any caring person would check their kid into a psychiatric hospital if this was the first time he was ever violent and something snapped. They defaulted to COVER UP because they have covered for him in the past. This is why he doesn’t have a criminal record; it’s not the first time he’s been violent, it’s the first time his parents couldn’t get him COMPLETELY off the hook. Then they refuse to pay damages to this woman who has suffered so much because of their son. That’s because they weren’t just trying to protect the kid, they were trying to protect their OWN reputations and wealth. That poisonous apple didn’t fall far from that rotten family tree. It good that that woman had the sense to call the police about “the rumor going around within the family” there is at least one person with some decency, but I’m sure she was concerned for her own safety; as well she should have been, but whatever her motives I’m glad she did. I think the police would have figured it out, there were plenty of witnesses, but he probably would have been in a country without an extradition treaty with the US by then.

Either she has no boundaries or respect for others, or she's desperate to avoid the police, knowing that the drawing and description could identify her son, as could the camera footage. I understand exactly how she feels being scared that he's going to come back. During the summer right after I graduated high school I came home at about 2 a.m. went to my room in my closet light was on but I thought I had left it on because me and my friends were in their full of round before we left. So I shut myself in there. I went to my closet to get something to sleep in. I was just before the opening and bent down to pick something up and there he was off to the side. I recognized him from school. I couldn't scream nothing came out, the first thing that came out of my mouth was "I know you." You have no idea how your brains going to react until you're in that situation. He held me down and had my mouth and nose covered. I couldn't breathe and he had my head turned to the side so far and was pushing that I thought he was going to accidentally break my neck. I was just kind of waiting for it to snap. Then I was able to ask him to let up off of me a little that I couldn't breathe. I don't know exactly what I did to him, but the next thing I know he's on the floor in the opposite corner of the room. Somehow I launched him off of me, and I was able to get the door open and run out. At that time my mom came out of her room letting the dog out and the dog chased him out the window he came in. Afterwards even though I was able to identify him and they got him, I was still terrified of somebody breaking in the house. Every noise I heard I had to investigate what it was. I couldn't sleep. I passed out from exhaustion or cried myself to sleep. The only place I felt comfortable with on the floor in between my mom's bed and the wall. It felt like a little cubbyhole and that I was hidden.

One night, I was reading, "The Exorcist" of all things, and my oldest brother came home late. My mom had a rule that the doors were locked at midnight, so if my brothers were late, they could sleep in their cars, haha. He saw my light on, and tapped on my window. (My other older brother slept downstairs, so he didn't have a window.) When he tapped on my window, I almost screamed, but he started saying loudly that it was him. I got up and let him in, but I was so mad that he scared me that I told him next time I wouldn't unlock the door. 😁
