How to Knit the Dip Stitch | Knitting Tutorial

- Dip stitches are everywhere these days, and they look more complicated to knit than they actually are. Today I'm sharing a quick tutorial on #knitting dip stitches, which I'm showcasing on an upcoming pattern design.
Basic process: Insert your needle X number of rows below, pull up a loop of yarn to create a new "stitch," then decrease that stitch back out a few rows later. Simple!
(Yarn shown is Knitting for Olive Cotton Merino in Elephant Blue)

Lovely stitch and useful tutorial. Thanks
I love the dip stitches with yarnovers around them.
I recommend using a crochet hook to pick up the second dip! Its much less fiddly imo
Really lovely!
I have to ask why you are using stitch markers in this instance.?
I'm adding YOs around my central dip stitch, so it's just to make sure I put them in the right spot!
I knew there had to be a clever explanation!@@MediaPeruanaKnits
Hi, its not my intention to be annoying but I would like to know if you plan to continue your paul's sweater project. It looks pretty good
Yes, it's been on the back burner but I will be picking it up again in the fall, thanks!
