It was really difficult for me to work the ribbing in the sleeve edge because of the very small circumference. I tried with 40mm cable, I tried with a magic loop but no hope. Thankfully I discovered that there is a way to knit small circumference with two circular needles, and then I was finally able to finish the sleeves. All in all, this is a great pattern, and the instructions are very clear. It is my 2nd knit project 😊
So smart of you to make videos for your patterns. I'm still new to knitting and bought your book months ago but haven't made anything yet because I realized I'm a visual learner, especially when I'm first starting to learn something. Both of your recent sweater videos have clarified so much for me. Thank you so much! I did not expect to have the desire to knit fall/winter clothes in the spring/summer but here we are.
You should try the stay up till dawn sweater from the book!!! It was my very first sweater, it took me a few tries but its on thick needles and a thick yarn so it knits up pretty fast and it has no special textures so just read the pattern closely, I believe in you! :)
@Michal Ostrovsky Thank you so much for your belief in me, I already feel changed as a result 😊 My first sweater was a raglan sweater by @handmadebyflorence. She has a step by step tutorial on her channel and an easy to follow pattern I highly recommend. Once I finished that sweater I wanted to make another sweater that was not a raglan sweater and had no idea how to do things like picking up stitches (for the collar, for ex) and joining the body and sleeves.
The basic fundamentals of knitting are easier to learn in video format (for me, at least) once I get to a certain level I can rely solely on patterns but I don't feel like I'm there yet.
@@Ali-yo6vl Yes no problem! I definitely understand what you're saying, but I learned that sometimes it's good to just start a project and learn as you go. I've also been thinking about making Florence's sweater and now that you recommend it I might!! Her patterns are gorgeous!
What is the name of the book please? I tried searching for it, but only finding a book to be released next November. Thanks!
@@Lyagushka8669It is called "Knit this" it is linked in the description of the video as well.
This is the second piece I've ever knit, the first was just a simple stocking stitch cardigan where the pattern was basically "knit back and forth until it reaches desired length." I had some other patterns I wanted to try but didn't feel experienced enough to tackle a pattern. This video is excellent in teaching not only how to read patterns and use charts, but also how to cable knit. Gorgeous sweater that looks far more complicated when finished than it was to knit. Now I'm going to have to knit all of your patterns!
This is my second sweater that I have knitted according to your instructions. I really enjoyed knitting this beautiful sweater, the instructions were very clear and detailed and I intend to knit more of your sweaters and cardigans. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.
The same I put the video on,the sound. My bird start to sing! It's fun that my bird also like you😀
I love this pattern and the tutorial, I changed the sleeve design for me because I didn't like it getting so tight! Chart C (especially row 5) is the most confusing part of this pattern so I think you should do a tutorial for that!
Thank you for the lovely pattern and tutorial ❤
Finished my salty days sweater today!!! 7 months later. I am a very slow knitter but it was worth it. Thank you
These gorgeous sweaters that are knitted by all of the wonderful people on you tube, just blow my mind!! I have been knitting for 6 years, and I spend more time frogging than knitting...lol
I love how happy and bubbly you are in all your videos!
Ooh this one seems less daunting than the Arctic lights sweater! ❤ Of course these tutorials help immensely in tackling the patterns. Thank you so much Kika for all the work you've put in
Not only a beautiful pattern but an absolutely terrific tutorial plus your charming presentation! Thank you! Love your color choices too!
Thank you so much 😀
Your videos always are so inspiring and peaceful. Thanks for sharing your beautiful creations ❤💖💖💕❤️
Please do more tutorials! I’m a beginner and have been avoiding knitting sweaters flat but this video really helps my confidence to give it a try!
So excited! I've been waiting for this one.
I would enjoy seeing this sweater made, with each section done in different colors.
What an absolutely gorgeous design! Congrats so much on the release :)
This tutorial MADE ME HAVE TO GET THIS...I was thinking it was super difficult...but not really after you explained this. TY for the way you communicate Every one of your sweater tutorials has been super enlightening.
These tutorial videos are so clear and helpful! Especially how to pick up stitches 😊
Thank you for taking the time to provide this tutorial! SO very helpful❤️ Beautiful sweater too!
I just finished mine and it looks soo pretty. Thank you so much for the amazing Pattern. I got never bored working on it even though it took me 2 months with everything going on in life. But even on busy days I felt motivated to reach for this project when I relaxed in the evening.
Ooooo!! I LOVE this sweater! The collar, and the dropped sleeves, those textures!! 💜🧶💜
I love this sweater, especially in white. A great tutorial.
I like this model. Here, it looks more comfortable for the neck because it's more open. And the patterns are rather easy but interesting. The process is not boring.
This Video gave me the courage to make my first cable knit!

Thank you so much for posting these videos. They are really helpful! ❤
Thank you for this excellent tutorial and beautiful pattern!
I am a textile artist and teacher for over twenty years and use various textile techniques to express myself and the theme I am working on. I tried knitting decades ago and decided; not my cup of tea. But you started a flame in me again. This last tutorial is so good and the sweater is so loose and wearable in different weather conditions. I would like to have one. But most of all I like your wool choices; combining a fluffy thread with a normal thread gives the sweaters something hugeable and appealing. Specially if if the mohair thread is one shade lighter.
It's so pretty, I'll definitely try it when fall comes.
Thank you so much for your kind explanation!!!
Thank you thank you so much for sharing!! Love this sweater!!!
Just discovered your tutorials. You are awesome, thanks!

Kika, thank you SO much for these videos! I started knitting last year by watching your videos, this winter I proudly wore my first Lighthouse beanie, and now I look forward to try and make this sweater. Thank you for explaining your patterns so well - love love LOVE this content!
Just bought the pattern - looking forward to start knitting!
so gorgeous! I have been thinking about this pattern since seeing your triangle scarf. I have always wanted a knit sweater in white and this one will be the time that actually happens. I deserve a white sweater! and this pattern is just beautiful, the detail added right before the cuffs is everything. Also, want to make the triangle scarf in white. Maybe a Victorian white/pearl color. And just realized recently what the difference between drop shoulders and raglan etc even was and that I prefer the look of drop shoulders so this tutorial will be very helpful i'm sure when it's time.
love your style and smiley way of your talk...ı became a fan of you and ı started to knit love letter top for my daughter....thank you so much!
