- My "Honda CTX" 700 DCT test ride. The bike is great and I love her dearly. Fantastic for commuting specially with the DCT. Great for touring as she is very comfortable.

Thanks for the upload, I had to watch it with the sound off but I enjoyed the visuals. Nice motorcycle, hope you're still enjoying it. Safe riding.
Cool ride! I have the 2014 DCT and LOVE IT!! Ride safe!
Made it through about eleven seconds of your review. What is with the music? Do you thing people really want to hear that?
Nice review, I have the manual model and love riding it. I use it for daily commuting and for road trips and light touring. B-)
Arizona RE Thanks for your comment. I've been following you and your trips on the CTX. Hope to get to ride the Arizona roads one day ;-)
I wanted to hear what the bike sounds like
On goes the Mute, due to Very Crappy music, why dont people just let us hear the sound of the bike!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Or even wind noise, would be much more welcome than the Very Crappy music playing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
This Music = the Ultimate in Extreme crappyness.
Gary West Well thanks for your input.
I'll take that to consideration when I'll post the next video
All the best
Agreed, would like to hear the bike sound
Posłuchałbym silnika. Film bezwartościowy dla mnie przez tą muzykę... Szkoda. Sam motocykl jest bardzo ciekawy. Chętnie bym z nim trochę poobcował.
I am looking at the manual version of this for my next bike. A couple of questions: Where does the torque live? Top or bottom end of the rev range? Is the bike thin enough for filtering in traffic? I hear it is a comfortable bike, is is viable for both short and long commutes? What's with the speaker looking things in the front?
Cheers.
Spanxxxx Hey thanks for watching. To answer your questions about the torque, for me it's difficult to say, because the DCT always has a lot of power ready for you. But I'd imagine that the torque is from low to mid range as the rev counter goes only to 8000 and redlining a bit sooner. For filtering its just great. It's not to heavy, fantastic maneuverability specially at low speeds. I do a lot of city riding and used to do it on a maxiscooter with small wheels and she feels just as great. For a longer ride she feels just like a full size crousier. You sit low with legs slightly forward. Really comfy. I'd personally add a taller windscreen for touring. So if you are looking for commuter/light tourer that's your answer. And the speaker thingis i guess they wanna keep the styling from the bigger CTX 1300 with the radio and all and if you really try you can fit some speakers there and have an onboard entertainment system. All the best for you
Spanxxxx On the manuals the peak torque seems to come on between 2500-5200rpm and is relatively flat throughout that range. The rev limiter kicks in at about 6500 but with the torque trailing off at 5200 or so, there's no need to get there. It's not a street-bike type performance, but more of a cruiser. It's got enough poke to claim its place in traffic, but you're not hitting 60mph under 4 seconds either.
I use mine for daily commuting where it is easy to overtake traffic in the city. This bike isn't any wider than the NC750 even with the fairing so should be okay for filtering.
It's strong enough to take highways and motorways, but light enough for twistie roads. I average 70 MPG in the city, a little better on the highway. Hope that helps B-)
Where was this video taken?
The way you drive in-between traffic like that is EXACTLY what gives motorcycle riders a bad reputation. You put yourself and others a risk of injury or at the very least, causing an accident. Cutting between other cars is not safe, nice or cool.
This is in Poland where it is legal and accepted by everyone. In most countries over there it is the norm to help alleviate congestion.
Why do you ruin your video with music????
if I would have been the drivers at the stop light and saw you come pushing your way through because you had 2 wheels and you felt you were privileged, I think I would have opened my door to throw something out as you hit it and went flying. This gives bikers a bad name. What's with the no talking and head banging music? I thought this was a test ride to hear and see how it runs... not a rock concert for head bangers.
Well in Europe and specially in Poland lane splitting is 100% legal and if you would dig a bit deeper into the subject it's actually way safer for he riders and better for car drivers as we do not create unnecessary congestion. All the best

No review. No voice. Just crap music. Yeh nice review...??
Why add the goofy music? Ruined what could have possibly been a good review. SMH
why the music?.....
Great review, brilliant. Many thanks for sharing. Love Wawel Royal Castle. Kindest regards. John.
Great ride & comments....not gonna bash your musical choices
I am interested in the DCT model. How do it perform at very slow speeds, say 15 to 25mph? Does it lag, hesitate or vibrate?
Why does it look like the parking brake is on?
