- AMV showcasing the battle between Netero (the old guy) and Mereum (the green guy).
Mereum, the king of the ants, is part of an invading species which are threatening to take over the globe. So for Netero, this fight was about the survival of the human species.To Mereum, this was all just a game of chess, he was trying to predict Neteros next attack pattern so he can break through the old guys defence, and after countless of attacks Mereum notices a slight bias in his preferred attack pattern. This bias resulted in the king breaking through the defence and cutting the limbs of poor Netero. Netero then surprises us with a super powerful attack, which essentially consumes his whole life force, but it still wasn't enough! (The ant sure is persistent).
In the last moments of the fight, Netero pierces his own heart which causes a huge explosion, consuming the landscape around them. This explosion was from a bomb which was installed into Netero before the fight, if his heart stopped beating the bomb would activate. This was used to portray humanity's infinite potential for evolution, showing we may not be physically strong but our intelligence and adaptability is far superior to any other species. Hence, Netero had Mererum in checkmate from the beginning.

This is in fact a realy good amv, keep it up! the amv scene is lacking and seemingly going under but this amv gives me hope. Your editing really transmitted the heaviness of the attacks, giving the whole experience room to breathe through the well timed not exaggerated cuts.

@@ShmueI Mereum wasn't even serious while fighting him. He could have easily taken his head off in 1 sec, but he didn't because he was trying to communicate with him.
