That’s fucking badass.
Yes but at the cost of his own mental and physical and spiritual/moral health. He literally gave up on life just to finish getting revenge. Pitou was finally showing some depth of character and then had to die.
1 kick completely incapacitated her. 1 punch put her on the brink of unconsciousness. He purposefully let her chop his arm off to be like Kite. Power was crazy

Watching it initially, I thought of it as Gon being backstabbed by Pitou (whom they were tricked into doing so by Pouf) and undergoing a deadly upgrade to commence some vengeance to satisfy his loss of hope, with a bittersweet end to end this complicated enemy. Years later, I realized that it was Gon's worldview being completely challenged to a greater extent than the Phantom Troupe of what's good and evil on top of his hopes of Kite being brought back being dashed. On one hand, Pitou had killed Kite and lobotomized others yet was showing a desire to protect/humble themselves for the sake of others- showing the hypocrisy Gon detests- and unlike the Troupe, Pitou is being genuine instead of having half-measures of caring only for their own group. And in this shattering of his ideology, the darkness that was always there comes out threatening a helpless girl if Pitou doesn't comply with his demands and being callously nasty to his best friend- both of these with him clearly not in his right mind. When Gon becomes his ultimate form, it's not a young man giving up everything to put down an enemy for the greater good and to appease his vengeance for Kite's sake- it's a child covering his doubts and insecurities with shallow strength and a facade of maturity in appearance only, beating up an enemy to fulfill his selfishness. Much like with Meruem and Netero, it could've been a resolution of words rather than giving into violence brought on by the darkness of the human heart- with both "victors" losing because they gave up their integrity for the sake of fulfilling their ego of humanity, while ironically becoming aberrations of humanity in doing so.

Gon had all the right to kill her from the beginning when she was healing the Kings friend. Many people say that he barely knew kite but in the manga they had a master/mentor relationship since chapter 1. So as for me , i think he should have killed her from the beginning. There was no doubt Kite was dead , in the inside and in the outside, they did him very dirty.
that isn't the problem, the problem is that he became less than the the ants, who just killed to survive, and protect their own, he killed for purely, pointless revenge.
I can't say I would have done any different. In the least. The last look back was apologizing to Kilua for having to witness him like that. A man's inner rage....
In the original manga, kite had a really big impact on gon's decision to become a hunter, which was NOT added in the anime and his introduction was also delayed So, his crashout seems pretty reasonable to me, tbh
When Gon found out Pitou was lying after all that time? I felt him snap. I felt him spiritually in my soul. And even at the final fight? More tricks and schemes. Felt so good to watch her be crushed. Killua stopped Gon from becoming a murderer of an innocent girl though. Because when he asked Pitou who it was he had to save? The look in Gon’s eyes were “Alright maybe I should take away somebody important to you too”
it's 2019, I've joined my first job in a different city. Out of hometown for the first time ever. Boring and monotonous days, and suddenly i get introduced to the world of anime by a colleague, they say "watch hunterxhunter" , so I did and finished within weeks. The experience I had had been etched into my memories forever. it's 2025 now, I almost forgot how good it was !!!
Gons nen ability turned him into a dragonball z character. I love this scene it gets built up so good too like you know Gon is going to go off for almost 40 episodes. When Morel challenged him to this scene you can just tell
From what i remember of the sub version, she felt a powerful sense of relief, she realised that such a power boost was a one time only thing and was happy she was taking the hit rather than the king as at that moment she thought he could rival or even surpass the king amd was happy that such a powerful foe would use all his potential future power up on her instead. Truely a selfless servant to the end.
@@Grognakk380 I agree. While Meruem is probably more durable than Gon, Gon's power (both physical strength and nen) is so high in that form he might actually be able to hurt Meruem. Pitou was right to fear it and definitely loyal to take one for team Meruem. It is sad that such a despicable character finally starts to show depth and good qualities only to be offed by Gon right around the same time.
This edit does not do the anime credit, you need to hear the music, the way it rises as Gon loses his sanity and trades his future for Pitou's death. The music is literally perfect for the scene.
my homie and i watched hxh from start to finish, we made a inside joke whenever someone appears strong shows on screen we would say "Now these some Strong mafukas" Words cant describe the hype at 0:38 "NOW THIS IS ONE STRONG MAFUKA XD"
This scene has so many gut punches. I can never forget that the only time we ever hear killua's footsteps in the anime is when he runs to save his friend 😢
I love the screeching noise when Gon fires up his rock. It's like it's telling us that this isn't a good thing. He has gained the power to win but also the power to destroy himself.
Idk maybe it’s just me but “you’re such a liar” is an almost childish phrase and it works perfectly. It’s a harsh juxtaposition with what he turns into and a reminder that he is not a pawn fighting the chimera ants, not an amount of power, but a child who’s been treated unfairly and dealt with far too much.
Not really. To me it's more like a kid who doesn't want to live in the reality of the harsh world that we live in. In their world much harsher because of people being able to wield nen. But regardless. Kite's last wish to gon was to not take revenge of some sort because it will come at a great cost of his life. Gon was always the first to rush into things without thinking of the consequences later on (kind of because he's a kid but also because he's like that). Kite didn't like that part about him and constantly warned him to check himself. Especially when things got serious and then before he lost his arm he saw gon go after him stupidly and killed luckily enough managed to save his butt. Pitou wasn't inherently evil once her human emotions and desires to be needed by her king came through. All in all this arc made me hate gon because not only did he sacrifice his life for someone he didn't really know but also sacrificed his goals (which was to find his dad) and to make matters worse. He went against kite's wishes. Which then as we saw later chimera Kite scolded him very harshly for being extremely stupid and childish.
@@infinitesession5439 While Kite did withhold a lot of information about Ging and Kite's past, Kite did still share a lot. Gon and Kite actually knew each other very well by the time Pitou killed Kite. I agree though, Gon did ignore some of what Kite tried to teach Gon.

That moment when gon decided he doesn't want to see cilains returning from death
I'm still pissed at how she violated Pokkle
😥
Yeah
She got what she deserved
Dang, she didn’t even stand a chance

“You GON get these hands no matter what”
She tried to break Gon’s mewing streak
Not possible
In the original manga, kite had a really big impact on gon's decision to become a hunter, which was NOT added in the anime and his introduction was also delayed
So, his crashout seems pretty reasonable to me, tbh
When Gon found out Pitou was lying after all that time?
I felt him snap.
I felt him spiritually in my soul.
And even at the final fight?
More tricks and schemes.
Felt so good to watch her be crushed.
Killua stopped Gon from becoming a murderer of an innocent girl though. Because when he asked Pitou who it was he had to save?
The look in Gon’s eyes were “Alright maybe I should take away somebody important to you too”
Is anyone going to talk about how good the soundtrack is! It sends shivers 🥶
The haloish sounds made it hit even harder
it's 2019, I've joined my first job in a different city.
This was no fight, this was a crime!
Its a massacre haha
@@aniclips3605 yup!
An execution

Indeed!
Well she started it...
So basically, gon achived what uvogun dreamed off...a punch with the power of a nuke.
When puberty reaches its maximum potential
Gons nen ability turned him into a dragonball z character. I love this scene it gets built up so good too like you know Gon is going to go off for almost 40 episodes. When Morel challenged him to this scene you can just tell
“I have to kill you now.”
Well, that escalated quickly! 😆 I’ve never seen this, so I have no clue what’s happening.
First time I saw this I was like this is gonna be epic. After the first punch I was like damn he already got packed up 😂.
I wonder how much fear Pitou felt when they realized there was no escape and no chance of victory to be had?
Adult Gon never skips leg day
I hate what it cost gon, but it was sooooo satisfying seeing him destroy pitou.
Bruh
The only one who can defeat the king..
Easily one of the best scenes in all of anime , if not the best
This edit does not do the anime credit, you need to hear the music, the way it rises as Gon loses his sanity and trades his future for Pitou's death. The music is literally perfect for the scene.
There was a grown mans rage trapped in that tiny body that needed to come out, he is absolutely terrifying during this part.
my homie and i watched hxh from start to finish, we made a inside joke whenever someone appears strong shows on screen we would say "Now these some Strong mafukas" Words cant describe the hype at 0:38 "NOW THIS IS ONE STRONG MAFUKA XD"
This episode is just so EPIC it makes me visit it from time to time.
Greatest anime arc of all tkme.
1:55 Gon is probably thinking, im not surprised I knew you couldn't be honest with me.
3:24 Gon, is that you? Don't blame that taiwan youtuber anymore
"I dont want to destroy this place, come with me"
Basicly he took it personally .
One punch from Gon, and Neferpitou went from "top-tier villain" to "top-tier memory."
This is the first time watching this scene i noticed Gon look back with realization in his eyes right before he nukes Pitou and Killua calls for him... 😭
"Fight" is a strong word
3:31 The fear on Killua's face when he saw what Gon looked like and what he knew he had to sacrifice to get that level of power.
Imagine adding all for ones, theme as the background song that would make it extra cold
Gon said "I am here!" and Pitou was not 😂
John turned into a monster just for me to know a human being for a little while 👹
Hisoka wants to kill Kilua.
John turns into a demon 💀💀💀💀💀💀😂😂😂😂😂
when we got a close up of her face after gone used rock on her, i had a smile that was bigger than the big bang cuz i was so happy, and then we heard shotguns, but they weren't shotguns, they Gon fucking abusing Pitou.
In the words of Netero:
"Do not underestimate humanity, little ant."
It is not a fight it is a masacre
It is Justice
