Great solution, Kevin! I’m replacing Glorious’ old rickety ladder and was looking at the particular ladder you have in this video. Should work also for a 32. Agree for the need for a quick release accessible from the waterline of the boat. Couldn’t make out the brand you purchased through the glare on the packaging…..
Hi Kevin… @@Westsail28 got the same ladder and made the teak blocks and stand-off teak blocks… what are the length and diameter of your screws that go through the hull? I’m going to go with heavy two inch stainless washers for backing for the screws. Are the screws sturdy enough coupled with the hull fiberglass thickness to support adults coming out of the water? So far? Thanks for the great video!
Kevin…as always great video, and in this case, particularly meaningful. Two summers ago I fell off my dock after a really impulsive rushed attempt to catch a fish who was jumping around near the boat. I had my lines in different position than normal because I was refinishing my caprails and tripped over one of them. Not only did I lose my fishing gear, but my boots got caught in the thick weeds 15’ below and I just barely made it to the surface. If not for the swim platform on the neighboring powerboat, I’m not sure how I would have gotten out once I exhausted myself getting to the surface. Dumb!! An accessible ladder would have really been nice! Thanks.
Kevin, you are an artist. Thanks for sharing with us …
big Westsail fan like your boat
Thanks!

Bobbing for fish is never very successful ! Glad that you managed to get back out of the water!
