Hi Rhonda, I will put that on the docket!!! You know, though, that it's said never to film with babies or animals as they will either ruin the take or take over the show!!! Love them all and love sharing them with you all!!!
What a beautiful quilt, the colours are beautiful. Thank you for sharing your time and talent with us. I would love to make a quilt. So I will keep watching and go back and see some of your other videos. I love your companions, how funny when you were being chomped on! 😊 love and blessings x
Hi Julie, Thank you so much for your kind comments! The next video that will be coming out is a super beginner friendly quilt and I hope you will give it a try!!! If you want to watch a very funny dog stealing the show video go back and watch "Micheline's Pinwheel Star wall Hanging". Ranger, is so funny!!!
Hi Patti, I'm so glad you liked it, that really makes my day!! I wouldn't have nearly as much fun without my wonderful dogs!!! Thank you for your comment, it really helps our channel grow!!
I love your quilt with the beautiful color choices, by the way, the yellow and blue are my favorite colors. But your sweet dogs are so loving and truly gentle giants. Thank you for this wonderful and loving video..😊😊😊😊😊
Hi Michelle, Thank you for your comment, my daughter really liked the color combination too, that's why I chose it!!! Gotta love my goofballs!!! They bring my so much joy, everyday!!!
What a wonderful quilt, love it. I really like the color combination! Thanks for sharing and giving us all those tips on sewing and ironing and of course the need to pin this one. Have a wonderful week!
Thanks for the great tutorial. I’m going to make some small charity quilts for our Guild this year & these blocks will be perfect. Love Brenda too. Absolutely love those dogs! We’ve had Great Danes living next door & they would put their head over our fence & rest it on my husband’s hand. 💙🐶🧵
Hi Michele, Great danes are just the best dogs ever!!! I'm honored that you liked the tutorial and you will be absolutely hooked when you start making the potato chip blocks, whether you make them disappear or not!!! Brenda is amazing, she interviewed me about a month ago and is as nice off camera as she is on, so very genuine!!!
Thanks for another variation on the potato chip block. Your fabric choices are beautiful. The dogs were an added bonus. I have 3 and set a timer for pills and feeding but they start coming around just before the timer goes off. I’m always amazed how they know.
Hi Karen, As quilters I think we all want to come up with something new and I may have done it with this one!!! Nope, no timer needed here!!! Love my sweet babies, they just bring me so much joy!!! Thank you so much for your comment, they really help our channel grow!!!
Very interesting. I've made a couple of "potato chip" quilts but did not know that's what the block was called. The one I just finished used your same goldish but with black. I also made one using 1.5x2.5 logs (that was a fun leader/ender). I think for your disappearing block starting with a 2.5" or larger piece would be easier. Good video and you've given me something to think about.
Hi Amy, I love watching videos that make me think or give me an idea!!! That is high praise indeed, thank you!!! Love the idea of making a quilt with a smaller version of potato chips!!!
I love your dogs! Between the Great Danes and Mastiff, I can’t imagine the dog food bill. ♥️. This quilt is such a neat idea! I see fast baby quilts in this pattern. Thank you for sharing
Hi Patti, Yes the food bill is very high, 5 dogs, a horse and now 15 chickens!! We are sending some Tractor Supply CEO's children to college!!! Glad you like the Disappearing Potato Chip quilt!!!
I love this! I'm currently obsessed with making randomly scrappy potato chip blocks. I may have to think about color placement vs. random colors. The table runner falls short, though, because it forms two hate symbols. The quilt is awesome though!
I know!!!!! I didn't see them until I was finished!!!! I don't think I'm even going to quilt them!!! The potato chip block is just the most enjoyable block to make, isn't it!!!
Got my two jelly rolls Riley Blake blue stitch and a yellow roll but tag is gone Watching you again and cutting my chips I’m so excited Thank you so so much!!!!
Hello, from Morehead, Kentucky. I'm 76 years old (and I still love sewing and learning new skills and patterns). I love your dogs. If my cats were bigger, they would get me out of bed at 4:30 every morning. Wow. I love that quilt. Have you shown Brenda what you have done with her pattern? I think she will love it also. I just subscribed to your channel. Thank you.
Hello Arvetta!!! My daughter and her fiance are purchasing a house in Franklin Kentucky, is that anywhere near you? I really like Brenda, she interviewed me about a month ago and you can find that interview on both our channels. She is just as wonderful off camera as she is on camera, just so genuine!!!! She has seen it, she commented that she really liked it!!! What would we do without our four legged family members!!! Thank you so much for the wonderful comment, I just love connecting with everyone watching!!!
Hi Dawn, I love the Potato Chip block, it is so much fun to make. I call it the Goldilox quilt because its just right, not too hard, not too easy. Its pieces aren't too big, they aren't too small. It doesn't take too long and it's not too quick, its just right!! I really wanted to find a way to make it disappear though because thats what potato chips do around me!!! Thank you for your comment, they really help our channel grow!!!

Hi! Just found your channel and I’m obsessed! Love your patterns and I am gathering fabrics for the Potato Chip around the World quilt. Love it! I also have enjoyed seeing your puppies!
Oh wonderful!!! I'm so happy that you are enjoying my channel!!! I think the puppies steel the show, don't you!!! Thank you again for commenting, it really helps our channel grow!!!
Hi Linda, the potato chip block is so perfect, I just love it!! I tried many times to make it disappear but really didn't love the results until I cut it diagonally!! Thanks so much for watching and commenting!!!
Hi Elaine, so glad you like the color combination!! My daughter was here with me when I was going through my stash looking for something to use. This combination was her favorite so, of course, that's what I picked!!! She is so amazing with designs and colors!!! She has designed some more quilts and I am going to be making them very soon!!!
I love, love, love this clever quilt! I am working on my Neighborhood Square quilt and suddenly realized that I can piece pairs of "potato chips" together as leaders and enders and have those pairs ready for this Disappearing project!
YES!!! This would be a wonderful leader ender project!!! Please share pictures of your projects when you are finished so we can see them!!! Just a word of caution, the disappearing potato chip blocks do need to be made using two distinct colors otherwise the peaks and valleys may not show up. I don't think I mentioned that in the video clearly enough.
Hi Tarah, I just got back from visiting friends in Ely Minnesota!! Beautiful country!!! Danes are just the best. We have had a couple of Mastiffs now too and really love that breed as well. We are planning to breed Ranger to the girls when they come of age. Thank you so much for your comment!!!!
Karen, thank you again for your comments, they really help our channel to grow!!! The jelly roll I mentioned really gave me the inspiration, just so happened that I had enough other fabrics in my stash to make it work!!! Gotta love our stashes!!!
Hi Patricia, You made my day!! I am super happy at how this one turned out!!! Those dogs are a constant source of humor!! Thank you so much for watching!!!
Hi Phyllis, Thank you so much for commenting and subscribing that just makes my day!!! Gotta love these gentle giants, they look at me with such love in their eyes!!! Just makes me happy to be around them!!!
Really beautiful quilt. Love the colors. I never thought I would like this color combination. You have given us a whole new view of the potato chip block! Well done.
Rhonda, thank you again for your comments! I think its the goal of all quilters to come up with something truely new, maybe I have done that with this one! I think that would be just amazing!!!

Hi Amanda, go for it!!! Use those jelly rolls up!!! Honestly this was a really fun, kind of challenging, quilt to make!!! If you need it, the pdf is on our web site, Americana Quilting. Thanks for the comment!!!
It’s a great quilt! Beautiful fabrics, colors and design. I like this pattern for a masculine quilt. Now I’ll have to find the right fabric! Thank you!
Oh that is so pretty. I do love the potato chip blocks; I'm working on one that will be on point (because why not?) The colors are perfect. What a sweet pack of doggies you have! I have two cats who can tell time (dinner time especially) and yes quilting/sewing too close to dinner time will be pointed out! lol
❤ Loved the choice of colors you used in the disappearing blocks. Also,You made my day with the "gentle giants". My 2 fur babies passed last year and this year. So seeing yours just made my day! 🤗 Thank you for sharing!
Hi Mary, glad you liked the quilt!!! So sorry to hear about the loss of your fur babies, it's always so hard to let them go. Glad you enjoyed watching mine! We are on our 15th dog at this point, the big ones don't last nearly as long as the little ones. And, although their loss is difficult it gives us space to rescue another one, and we love giving the ones pushed aside to have a wonderful loving home for the rest of their lives, no matter how long that might be!!!
Hi Rose, I'm so glad you liked it!!! If you post on social media please tag us so we get to see your quilt!!! The dogs make the video don't they!!! Love my sidekicks!!!
Hi Laura, their stomachs don't lie!!! I just love having them around, they don't let you forget to stop and smell the roses!!! Thank you so much for your comment!!!
HI Brenda, I think you are my lucky charm, this video is doing really really good!!! I wanted to do a disappearing version of the potato chip block from the moment I made my first one, because that's what potato chips do around me!!!! Sincerely your admiring mentee!!!!

Hi Carey, Thank you for commenting, it really helps our channel grow! Glad you are enjoying the silly dogs, they certainly make me happy when they are around!!!
Hi Karen, Thank you so much!! As quilters I feel we all strive to come up with something that hasn't been done before and I feel that I may just have done it with this quilt, so exciting!!! These dogs make me smile every day! I hope I give them as much peace and joy as they give me!!! Thanks again for your comment, they really help to make our channel grow!!!
I'm so glad you like the quilt, I really am excited how it turned out!!! My sweet sidekicks make themselves known in many of my videos!!! I think one of the funniest is Ranger in the video "Micheline's Pinwheel Star Quilt", you will crack up!!!
Hi Carolyn, thank you so much!!! You know as quilters I think we all my strive to come up with something that maybe no one else has. I think I may just have done that with this one!!!
Oh wow!!! Thank you so much for watching from Copenhagen Denmark!!!! It so exciting to talk with other quilters from around the world!!! I'm really honored that you are enjoying the videos!!!
Svetlana, the strips are 2 1/2" wide and you cut them into the chips which are 2 1/2"x 4 1/2". The blocks prior to cutting should be 16 1/2" x 16 1/2". We do have a pattern on our website but that you could get and then use google translate to read it, that might help. Let me know if I can help!!
I find the app "Google translate" works really good for me. I just hold the phones camera up to see the words and it shows right on the screen the translation. I'm just really thrilled to hear from people all over the world!!!
I love that you have giant breed dogs. I have an English Mastiff, an amazing breed. Love this quilt. I will have to try the disappearing potato chip block. Thanks for the inspiration
I’m always enjoying watching you, you come up with some interesting ideas and your progress through the project with that so much chatter. Although a little light chatter here in there is nice. Keep the great work going I subscribed.
@@AmericanaQuilting I said it wrong, I meant to say that you don’t give us a lot of chatter, but just enough for us to enjoy the little banter. You talk about it a little and then you get to the point and show us some great things. Please keep it up your pleasure to watch. You are absolutely genuine and generous and us out here. Love you.
Absolutely love this design. And I love your babies.. They're so cute. Yes, I watch Brenda too. She makes everything look easy. ❤ have a wonderful week 😊❤
They are my happy place!!! And the black one is just a puppy!!! I had her weighed a couple of months ago when she was 8 months old and she weighed 98lbs!!!! She is truly going to be a giant, and sooooo sweet!!!
Such a gorgeous quilt. Haven’t made a potato chip quilt yet but I think I need to. It seems so versatile with many options. Thanks for taking the time to show us the disappearing one…super fun. Love your sewing center. How do you store your batting for the long arm? I have several rolls and bought two hammocks to hold them. 😜 I just had no more room in my area.
Hi Debbie, Thank you so much!!! Yes, those little potato chips are super versatile, I have other quilt ideas swirling around in my brain!!! If you can see in the videos, I have a trough under my machine, just made out of pvc and some drapery lining, this is where all my quilts sit while being quilted so that they never have to touch the ground (dogs and a farm) I store my batting in the trough. If the bolts are narrow enough I also have large racks that I have drapery fabric stored on. Thanks for commenting!
Long ago, you said you had to make bedskirts for your drapery business. Have you thought about doing a video on that? My skirt has torn from that thin crappy cheap wanna be, so-called fabric, I would love to try making one from sheets maybe, but I have no clue where to begin. Love all your videos and girl... those little puppies❤
Hi Terri, My daughter and even Brenda from Conquering Mt ScrapMore tell me I should make other sewing videos too!!! I don't plan on doing that anytime soon so if you would like some help I can talk you through it, email me at AmericanaLongarmQuilting@gmail.com and we will set up a call!!! The dogs really steal the show, don't they!!! Love my big babies!!!
Hi Sandy, So glad you loved the quilt, that really makes me happy!!! My dogs are just so silly and always make me laugh at some point during the day!!! Thank you for your comment!!!
Hi Jacqueline! I was just in upstate Minnesota and the weather was like 20 degrees cooler than here in South Carolina. I can only imagine that its cooler in North Michigan too!!! Not sure I could handle the winters though!!! Thank you so much for your comment!!!
Very pretty quilt, but my favourite part was "please remove my arm from your mouth" 🤣 gotta love big dogs.
Hahaha thats my favorite part too!!! Thank you so much for commenting, it really helps our channel grow!!!
Love this quilt and the color

Hi Svetlana! Thank you so much subscribing, I really appreciate it!! I'm so glad you liked my quilt idea!!!
@@AmericanaQuilting какая ширина полосок, и какой размер блока в окончательном варианте (перед тем как его разрезать по диагонали)?
Svetlana, the strips are 2 1/2" wide and you cut them into the chips which are 2 1/2"x 4 1/2". The blocks prior to cutting should be 16 1/2" x 16 1/2". We do have a pattern on our website but that you could get and then use google translate to read it, that might help. Let me know if I can help!!
@@AmericanaQuilting спасибо, надо взять словарь для уточнения.
I find the app "Google translate" works really good for me. I just hold the phones camera up to see the words and it shows right on the screen the translation. I'm just really thrilled to hear from people all over the world!!!
Gorgeous!!! When I see you posted a video, I can't wait to see it. They're always great.
Wow Terri, that is high praise indeed!! I am honored!! I will keep them coming to you!!!

I’m always enjoying watching you, you come up with some interesting ideas and your progress through the project with that so much chatter. Although a little light chatter here in there is nice. Keep the great work going I subscribed.
Hi Nellie, Thank you so much for subscribing!!! I love talking about quilting!!!
I meant without a lot chatter.
Oh gosh, sometimes I think I should shut up!!!!
Love you.
Ahhh Nellie, that is so sweet, thank you!!!!

Howdy from Southeast Texas!
Hi Vera, love Texas!!! Absolutely beautiful country!!!
Love the mastiffs
Ranger is an absolute hoot, isn't he!!!
Michelene...beautiful quilt...thanks ❤
Hi Loretta, Thank you so much for your lovely comment, they really help our channel grow!!!

Just found your channel, great video beautiful quilt top
Thank you Beverly, that really means a lot!!!
