2:06 what an exquisite example of of this roll of film. Well done! I have this film simulation on my x100 camera. It's absolutely gorgeous. It's a mix of Kodak Ultra Max and a film simulation called 1979. Thanks for sharing!
18 minutes of suffering sounds like you did pretty well :D People out there have no idea how much work it is to put together what may seem like a simple 5 minutes talking head thing... anyway, thanks for the detailed review. It was exactly what I was looking for. =)
However, Fuji did replace it with a new 400 ISO film that is made the Kodak just like their 200 ISO file is. Basically to keep their name in the film world Fuji is outsourcing their file for Kodak to produce. They basically make instax file which is where the money is. I don't know if they still make Velvia 100 or they just have enough stock to keep selling for a while. However, there seems little doubt that Fuji is pulling out of file. Their new acros B&W is made for them by Harmond in the UK.
I'm sad they discontinued it. I still have 3 rolls. The secret to make this one look great is to overexpose. Fujifilm always has a washed out green tint in the underexposed areas but if you give it enough light, it really pops.
Original Superia 400 was my fave colour film and HP5 for black and white. A real shame it's not madr anymore. Look at any film box or packet, if its "Made in USA" then it's Kodak inside. If you manage to find "Made in Japan" then it's true Fuji.
Def checking where it was made will be important going forward. I am sure there is still plenty of the original Superia 400 circulating in the market. Just going to be marked up a bit unfortunately

I am glad you enjoyed the video! Cheers my friend
Nice, but of course new film photographers will overlook it. It is no longer available.
Thanks for watching!
Sad but true :/
It’s available where I live
It's available in Russia
Your voice is nice and the info was digestible
Appreciate you brother
Excuse me, I'm still a beginner in using analogue, is this roll suitable for me to use in my kodak ultra f9?, thank you.
I believe it should be good to use! Only way to know for sure is to try
YOOO I looked up Fuji Superia, your video was first! Clicked on it, and what do you know, I'm seeing Fort Worth! Crazy!
Such an amazing place to call home! Hope you enjoyed the video
Good to see Ft Worth peeps around here on UA-cam!
Yessir! Love photographing downtown. Thank you for watching my friend

It's just slightly cheaper Kodak Ultramax 400.
Miss this film :( this was my favorite
Definitely turning into one of my favorites in rotation

always gotta give it more light!
such a great stock, a shame it’s discontinued and replaced with rebranded kodak stuff
Been hearing more about this. Definitely a shame

No way that the Kodak one employs a 4th layer. Sadtimes.

great pics btw
Thank you my friend
Walmart Fuji is not superia anymore, they send Fujifilm 400, which is the neewer (rebranded Ultramax) version of it.
Yea I’m hearing that. Either way there are alternatives out there to Portra that will get you good results!
ordered my first film camera yesterday and got a roll of this film, super excited to shoot it
Ayee love to hear that! Hope you have a great experience with it
It’s a classic film stock but all the ones you see in stock right now are actually Kodak UltraMax. It looks like it might have gotten discontinued 😢
Oh interesting 🧐
Would definitely be something cool to investigate. Or even compare and contrast
This is so helpful. Would love to see a 8mm film review ;)
Glad you enjoyed it brother. Definitely something that is on the way
Very informative
Haha thank you brother
This is what I started on shame it's gone.
Yes I agree
All that about hue shifting and real life tones.. that might be its goal but the reality... 😅
“Most affordable” until every youtuber under the sun makes a video about it.
lol supply and demand my friend
@@ThomasBocage Unfortunately. Great vid though. My local CVS is stocked full of this stuff, and it’s usually 10% off.
