Yesssss. Pumped for this one. The time jumps were definitely jarring but you get used to it by the third book
Those hardcovers really fit in nice with that Dune. Aesthetically as well as thematically.
I agree!
This series goes so hard. I got lucky and my library has 3/5 of the Sun Eater. I just read the arms dealer part last night and have me a pennywise feel
These books are seriously awesome and I hope you continue to enjoy!
@@alexnieves I'm new to space Operas but doesn't this read out backwards...it gives the ending away right, by killing all the aliens? And how would you compare it to Hyperion series by Simmons? Thank You
Definitely need to read this series! Nice review 😁👍
It's seriously fantastic! I hope you enjoy when you do.
Agreed! Such a good book.
this will have to go on my Wishlist you have talked so much about it I think I need to read it
100% read Sun Eater
Curses!!! I’m reading this next month. I will be back
One of the best books I've read this year, enjoy!
This book was a step up from empire of silence will continue with the series
Hey man, quick question. I'm just starting Empire of Silence. Do you recommend going back and forth to the index/glossary with all the definitions during the beginning of the book? Or will Ruocchio break down all the terminology as the book goes along?
You certainly can if you feel like you get lost or need some clarification but it should be easy enough to follow along. I know I didn't do that but feel free if it helps! I would say most of the terminology is pretty well explained throughout.
@@alexnieves thanks man. Good to know. The page juggling struggle is real sometimes lol
Haha for sure. I'd say use it when you feel lost or need to but otherwise just enjoy the ride!
Unfortunately the library only has empire of silence so when I do read it and if I do like it then I will have to order the other books from Amazon
Well hopefully if you enjoy Empire you'll want to own then anyway!
I know you love red Rising, how would you rate this compared to Red Rising?also if I haven’t read either, which one would you say to read first??
They're very different series and I love them for different reasons. Red Rising has a lot more action and it's faster paced but I think Sun Eater is better? I love them both so much.
@@alexnieves so which would you say to start first? Both sound amazing, that along with Stormlight,KKR are all on myTBR before late April when my firstborn child is due :) any help or suggestions would greatly be appreciated:)
Early congrats! I read all of Red Rising before Sun Eater and they're both fantastic but I think it comes down to the kind of story you want. Sun Eater is much more of a sweeping space opera with some beautiful writing and some kick-ass crazy sci-fi stuff. Red Rising is more straight forward and violent with a lot of action.
@@alexnieves thank you! As I’m short on reading time,Maybe do red rising because it is shorter and came first?which is more like Star Wars in your opinion? Last question how do both compare to Stormlight? Is Stormlight like on a whole different level?
I loved Stormlight but personally I enjoy Red Rising and Sun Eater more. More Star Wars I would say Sun Eater.
Are there prominent queer characters?
