Another way to translate the word in this context would be - "Atta boy". But saying this to your friend in the west would be weird, i guess?

It's an arctic fox. They're well-known to not give a fox about humans and would steal from under your nose, like what happened here. What we don't see after the clip is that fox sticking close to him, hoping to snag another fish.
