I was about to start the third entry and was looking for a synopsis of the first two to refresh my memory of the details. Never thought I would find one from the author himself. What a great and thoughtful idea. Thank you for both this and of course for writing this great series as well.
No idea if you'll read this but first of all, incredible series. Almost through Demon in White and I am floored by how amazing it is. Would love to see you make more book summaries. I plan on reading them all in a row but often I forget about events or perhaps initially misunderstood them and enjoy a nice summary before the next book. Seriously such great science fantasy
Just finished Howling Dark and wasn’t even done with the last page before I found myself reaching for Demon in White off of my book shelf. You’re killing it man! Wow I was about to dive into Kingdoms of Death and I was searching (fruitlessly) for a solid recap of the previous books. This was perfect, you’re the man! Sun Eater is easily in my top 3 sci-fi series, so i’m extremely excited to see how book 4 plays out.

I loved Empire of Silence, but this book is on another level, I had never been more happy to learn that there are many more books in the series... can't wait to read the next one
Hello. This recap helps a lot as your novels are sometimes a little bit hard to follow. I did not enjoy the first one very much but thought " The howling dark " was a huge improvement, Scaling up the odds considerably, more complex, full of action and violence and amazing characters. Looking forward to reading " The demon in white". Keep up the good job! Thanks
It’d be absolutely lovely if you could do recaps of the third (and maybe fourth, though that is more recent) books- as fun as it is to sit with my parents and brainstorm what we remembered of the plot I’m sure we’re getting a lot horribly wrong in the leadup to book five (which i bought today!)

I would have to rewrite the scripts from these videos, so...maybe, but for now the videos will do. In the future, I'd like to redo the synopses and get them all under 10 minutes for faster replay.
Got to admit. I haven't listened too far into the audiobook of Howling Dark. Do you have a choice on who narrates the book in audio form? Because Saul Reichlin is a massive step down from John Lee. It actually turned me off listening. I will regrettably endure without till I get my physical copy. I absolutely loved the first book and am re-listening to it. It has inspired me to no end in my own writing endeavours. Keep it up.
I had a choice starting out the series, and we managed to get John Lee. He wasn't available for #2, and the publisher went and grabbed Reichlin. I'm real sorry he's not working for you. You might try and find the US recording with Samuel Roukin (my American publisher produced an entirely separate recording), but I'm uncertain how availability works internationally.

You write great friendships! The line, “Where will I go?” Broke me literally. Will we ever read about Switch again? 😭 2. Just found out that Tavrosi people’s ancestors are Nordic, Indian, and Thai. I was wondering what happened to the Philippines and her people Sun Eater in-world history? 3. I love your symbolism re: Had’s loss of his arms, left or right, and then realized probably he didn’t lose his left or arm but down. Lol jk 😅 So i was wondering that part when he met his “other” self, did we have a glitch and another Hadrian from another timeline appeared in this timeline instead, as doing of the Quiet? 4. Lastly, are the Quiet creatures of dimensions beyond 3D and 4D, if such concept is inherent in Sun Eater?
