This guy is David Gilmour, maybe the best guitar solo of all time!!! This man is a genius, very smart and humble and he play guitar and sing like a god. You have to listen more Pink Floyd and Gilmour songs, with headphones!
The issue about headphones is due to how they use background and ambient sound/music that you'll only hear with headphones. Their Endless River album was almost entirely this type of music. Trust us, get headphones n re-listen when you can, you'll be amazed. We just don't want you to miss it, that's all.
Welcome to your personal pink Floyd journey! My advise is; Good headphones If you're going to do a studio version, do the pulse version immediately afterwards. Never interrupt solos 👍✅ Checkout their solo live performances - David gilmour Pompeii & roger waters live in Mexico. Most importantly - Enjoy!!
Don't think I've listened to Floyd with thunder in the background, so thumbs up for that. I use some relatively low cost headphones, maybe 30-40$, makes all the difference in the world, instead of the music coming straight at you, it bounces around in your head.
The best thing about watching peoples first time listening to this is I sort of relive the feelings of pure amazement. Echoes live at Pompeii is so good, they were all young men then.
No one like Pink Floyd. We were so blessed with musical geniuses. The music was definately on the list of my greatest moments of my generation. GEN X, " We have the legends." I can't even begin to explain how rich the 70s and 80s and 90s were. We thought it would last forever. We are sorry it won't. But within you, it can. This music WILL change you. Keep listening to solos uninterrupted.
I don't have the words to describe how much I love Pink Floyd and I know a lot of Pink Floyd lovers feel that way. I'm very happy to see that you have found your way to their music. You'll probably get a lot of suggestions and you can't go wrong with any of them. Some people will tell you that you *have* to listen to their albums from beginning to end because they're made to be listened to that way, and they are, but it's really not necessary. This song is from the album The Wall, which is brilliant. Another song from The Wall that should be on your list if it isn't already is *Hey You.* Also, don't avoid their longer songs. *Echoes* is a 23 minute masterpiece that goes by all to quickly and will leave you wanting more. 💗
Unfortunately, most ppl don't hear or "get" the lyrics/meaning. That's probably the one thing that pissed off Roger more than anything. He wanted you to hear n understand what he was saying in his lyrics. Both of the mentioned songs are along the same subject to a point. Us & Them (about the haves n have nots) and then the Turning Away (a call to stop ignoring those who need help). Add in Echoes (a call to humanity to be better towards each other). Floyd's music is and can be very, very deep.
You'll be amazed, how good Pink Floyd sounds, through a good set of headphones. For that matter, how ALL music will sound ! Honestly, you'll never go back...! BTW when you talk, the music "mutes". Have fun !
You’re becoming a Pink Floyd fan 😊👍!! So many great songs you have to look forward to. I recommend songs from the same Pulse concert Sorrow, Keep Talking, High Hopes, Coming Back To Life , Wearing The Inside Out, Run Like Hell just to name a few . So many other great Pink Floyd Songs😊. Enjoy the experience. Also check out the band Fleetwood Mac live song Rhiannon on the Saturday Night Special . I think you will really like Stevie Nicks vocals.
The band is magnificent, live, in studio, on an am setting on the radio. However, they were purposely experimenting with sound and they purposely recorded their music to go back and forth from speakers in stereo. With headphones you can hear much more of the details that’s all. And it’s worth every dime brother!!!❤❤❤
Two suggestions. SRV Stevie Ray Vaughn Texas Flood Live at El Mocambo .. SRV and Jeff Healey Look at little sister Live. Jeff is a blind guitarist that usually plays sitting down with the guitar in his lap. Both of these suggestions are fire.
So I seen them in 94 in Dallas, I'll never forget it as it was so amazing. This was after they had already played the whole Dark side of the moon album. Another great album you should check out.
Pink Floyd wishes they would have thought of a thunderstorm in the background. That took this song to the next level. I know it wasn't on purpose , but it worked out really great.
Gilmour is one of an number of truly great English guitarists - most came from London. Clapton, Jeff Beck, Peter Green, Jimmy Page, Steve Howe, Richie Blackmore and others. England, and especially London was THE place to be then.
You definitely need headphones!! You can’t get full effect w out them man Check out this trippy trippy video of this .. Trippiest thing I ever saw!! It melted my whole nervous system lol
When you're asked not to talk or pause any solos that also includes , telling us about not talking and doing all sorts of other noises bro during the solos. !!!!!
Dude, you NEED headphones for Pink Floyd...trust me on that.

I was there, once in a lifetime experience
Amazing.
Once you listen to them with headphones it's the only way will ever want to listen!
Pink Floyd grabs your soul and takes you places! Enjoy as much as you can 🙌🏼🤗👏🏼

Sorrow and The Great Gig in the Sky from the pulse concert. See how amazing they were when young, Echoes, live Pompeii, 1973. Enjoy.
👏 "Time" from Dark Side of the Moon (studio version first-get headphones first).
The one and only David Gilmore!❤ G.O.A.T.
It’s Gilmour! Peace!
You really really need to do Pink Floyd ''Us and Them'' studio version or ''On the Turning Away'' live from Pulse concert. That shit is dope af.
Did they play On the Turning Away at Pulse, or was it from The Delicate Sound of Thunder?
@@angelagraves865Delicate Sound of Thunder 👍🏼
@@angelagraves865 Yes, you are right. I checked, and there is no pulse version. My bad.

1993年我19岁的时候第一次听到pink Floyd就被深深的震撼了,从那以后我就是pink Floyd的铁粉,非常高兴今天的年轻人同样喜欢他们,来自中国的粉丝。

Hooked eh? Love it. Keep on keeping on.
The thunder kind of added to the music more than it took away from it . KInda cool.

The Delicate sound of thunder 🌩️ is a nice addition 😅.
It's also a '88 P.F. live album
Coincidence 😮❔
