"Eventually I got a take. Well it took a while but at least it saved a blank. And I don't have to fish for them any more". Brilliant comment and it made me smile. Nice "keeper" bass during the first session. The big question, though, is "was it as keeper mackerel?" Excellent and very enjoyable video. Thanks Mick. Keep safe and keep smiling. Cheers. Ken
Yes - I'm not that keen on feathering, but will do it if I can't catch doing anything else! Yes - when you catch a single, isolated mackerel, they are usually bigger than the norm. Thanks again Ken.
Great to see the mackerel are showing. Love to target them with a small metal lure - great sport. Some nice bass too but surprised the whiting are still about. I need to get back to Dungeness soon - had my best day ever there at the boats once. East wind still prevalent tho. Thank you for sharing.
Yes - I'm not normally there when the mackerel show, so it's nice to see them. The boats area can be very good and used to be a go to spot when fishing for codling, particularly when it was too windy to fish other parts of the ness.
Good day out ,Lovely fish caught. Bass were such beautiful specimens Lets hope this keeps up More tight lines Really enjoy your vids Thanks for sharing .Regards from NZ
Well played sir, the meticulous detail of your rigs, your casting ability and knowledge of the venue you were fishing and good bait resulted in great results. Excellent stuff
Hi Mick ... Another enjoyable video, no sea spray to spoil the recording of a nice mixed bag of fish ... Including a keeper bass ... But you seem not to enjoy fishing for mackeral ... I have always enjoyed bagging up for the bait freezer, with larger fish a tasty treat 😊.
Awesome again Mick, fished there many times in my teens caught some good sized fish & plenty of mackerel, never had may rot in my days, never caught a dog fish in all the years fishing, that was a good bass .Happy catching from AUSTRALIA Nick
Excellent video as usual Michael, some cracking fish on the first outing. Those anglers to the right of you must have been dedicated, I would have been fed up with casting those mackerel lures after a few chucks but they seemed to be doing it the whole time that you were there. Always enjoy your content Michael & look forward to your next adventure.
Thanks Chris. Yes - if you feather all day, you'll more likely catch mackerel at some point, if they are around that is. I'm not keen on doing that, but others enjoy it and the guys to my right did well.
Yeah nice venue, fished same spot at your first mark over night exactly a year ago to the date and caught two plaice one before and one after darkness and a lovely insize sole in middle of night . Great mark all sorts of species appreciate your efforts 👍🏼
Hi there! I used live in dorset, so would head to West Bexington to catch Mackerel galore! I now live in East London and are looking to share this experience with my 7 year boy. Do you think its worth the trip to Dungeness to catch such fish?
whats the road like down to Dengemarsh (Dengemarsh Rd) ? i ve read online its bad and looked on google maps it looks like a bomb has hit it ?! is it that bad ?
Always a pleasure to watch your videos.
Many thanks for that!

Thanks - yes, I'm not that keen on feathering, but do it now and again if nothing is taking normal baits.

Lucky to have escaped from the dogfish! Thanks for watching and commenting again Nick.

@@rodsangleuk6283 Everyone has the right to fish however they want. As long as one enjoys it then that’s all that matters. Just not my cup of tea.
Great video, looks a lovely area, nice one 😎👍
Thanks - yes its a great area to fish; but like most venues, can be hard going at times.

Nice one - I prefer to walk further towards the diamond, but fish can turn up anywhere along this stretch.
Hi just wondering why are the 4 videos on the Welsh coast hidden
Hi - hidden in plain sight? I've started a mini series / playlist on Cardigan Bay which I am visiting now! Thanks for watching.
@@rodsangleuk6283 all working fine now much appreciated great videos

Hit and miss for mackerel compared with West Bexington.

Could be better - but not as bad as many make out! Some have, but I've not damaged a vehicle there yet!
Very enjoyable to watch 😂❤
Many thanks for that.
