Always enjoy these videos . The Kent coast reminds me of my childhood both fishing and birdwatching . I have lived in Scotland since 1988 , but your videos are always helpful and enjoyable . Keep up the good work and tight lines
@@rodsangleuk6283 We where near the holiday camp we parked up by the chip shop it's a dead end road so can't really go wrong We didn't want to go anywhere else as apparently it's a nudest beach and we had enough worms
Around into the Thames Estuary, bluey herring and squid baits, and youre into a good area for some skate and bass👍 especially fishing during sunrise or sunset 👌
Hi Mick ... Normally, I call you the 'sole Man' ... But on this occasion, I will refer to you, as the 'cat shark Man' ... Sounds better than the obvious doggie ... Nevertheless, another interesting and enjoyable video from you ... John.
If I'm getting loads of each in a session I'll try to; but a lot of the time there isn't sufficient action to justify filming bites and not trying to hit them - would be a lot easier if I had someone else filming!
That's about all that is around there these day's odd ray also. Part of it is that when they dredged the sands for building the tunnel it's upset all the tidal flows so it's stripped sand etc from many places to put back on the banks so ruined feeding/Hatchling zones leaving many areas barren also get with these bottom trawling scraping everything flat.
Nice idea; but probably too difficult to arrange at the moment, as I split my time across quite a number responsibilities and interests, including coarse match fishing, which take me away from my local area. Keep watching a range of UA-camrs and just keep trying - you'll learn more by just doing it yourself. Good luck!
25 dog fish in two days painful sessions, i dont remeber it like that 25 years ago. I dont understand why our government is allowing these big international trawlers to take all our good fish :/

Sounds great! Any particular venue fishing well?
I had same off Kingsdown , about 15 doggies, nothing else. Not even the odd pouting!
Yes - they are a pain at the moment.

No thanks John - glad to say vids with soles are on their way! Had a sizeable one from Southbourne recently.
Could you do a educational film showing what the different fish /crabs bites look like , also what do you strike at ?

Dover sole rig with weighted snoods ? 2 up clipped down and one below the lead .
I think the doggies would still take your baits!

Even a whiting or pouting would have been nice!
Dog fish .They used to call it rock- salmon . Once sold in fish & chip shops . Actually not bad .
Large Dogfish, Bull Huss, Spurdog, Smoothhound.
Is still all sold as "Rock" in fish and chip shops.
Yes - but I'm not taking any to skin! I'll leave them for others to eat!
at least the doggies were big enough to make a decent meal.
I don't take them; although I know some will.
And a bonus lead
But then I lost it!
