Wish this had gone on for an extra hour. Also, how the hell did you guys almost forget Grandma's Boy!? Favorite part was the back and forth Garth quotes. Best Garth quote "get over it, go out with somebody else". 😂 Love you guys! 💕
I've always been a fan of Nick Swardson. I saw him walking around a casino in Vegas once and I didn't want to bother him. Had I known he was fan friendly I would have loved to meet him and grab a picture.
Somebody said he was always surprised about obvious things and calm about shocking news. Like "I'll pick you up at 8" and he'd go "8!" and if somebody said "A meteor fell out of the sky!" he'd say "Uh-huh, ok".
@Apollo440 he was wired so different lol.....whenever im down, i like to watch the clip of him talking about the clintons on the view. he was positively _squirming_ in happiness gettin them old biddies riled up and that always makes me 🫠
I agree Nick, Dana’s generation on SNL will never be beaten!!! And I can’t believe they didn’t reference Grandmas Boy in the intro! That’s how I learned who Nick was. My roommates bought me this car bed. 🤣🤣🤣💀
Hey from Minnesota! 1) how could you not mention one of my favorite Nick Swardson movies “Grandma’s Boy”?? 2)Massive Headwound Harry still makes me laugh hysterically to this day when I watch it. Years ago, was trying to describe it to a new guy I was fooling around with and I almost peed my pants trying to describe it. He laughed just seeing me losing it 😂
@@AishawithanEye thanks! I need to finish the podcast now. That’s a bummer about the money. I just bought a copy from eBay bc I couldn’t find it on Amazon or Walmart
Hering the norm bath story how many cracking up. Thanks great episode, speaking of arrogant I wrote that I demand a Swardson appearance, what temperature does I felt that was too cocky and change it I think to all the fans want to see him... So I'm just saying thanks to everybody, behind the scenes too. Great episode.
DVD commentaries are great. Benchwarmers is hilarious. Whenever I watch Benchwarmers I always use the commentary track. How about a commentary on The Wrong Missy? David and Nick should do one. How about just do a commentary podcast? You don;t have to broadcast the movie sound; all we hear is your commentary then we can play the movie on our own at the same time. Give us a cue to time it up. Boom.
Imagine though if it was video people who wanted that could enjoy it and those who like audio only could -GASP- not look at the screen while it plays. Amazing stuff I know but just think about it
I just watched Nicks new special, it was funny but I have to watch that last half again because I feel asleep. It wasn't you Nick, I was just tired from work. Loved this episode. I liked how you made fun of Spade during your special. Hahaha. Don't you just love it when your friends rag on ya? I know I do! WOO! Peace Spade and Carvey! Oh and Terry.. Nick.. whatever heh heh
Jack and Jill is a great movie. I saw it with my 11 yr old son. A lot of laughs. Anyone who says they didn't like it are dumb. Norm on the date with Jill hiding on the ceiling is hilarious.
Bucky Larson has its merits and to me was funny! I remember people uncontrollably crying of laughter in pain and some disbelief to that movie 😂! These things alone make a good comedy movie IMO!
I wish that the comedic artists that we love could see their work like the fans do, to us its all magic, and fun, and laughs.........for the artists it's heavy on the pragmatism of the business ......for the fans it's all emphasis on the magic of the show
I dunno why but today this sent me down a UA-cam hole where I ended up finding Too Funny to Fail and that clip of Carell, Carvey, and Colbert reacting to that promo is pure fucking gold "A very special Home Improvement followed by The Diet Mug Root Beer Dana Carvey Show" 🤣🤣🤣🤣
15:05 Because when I think, "bad boys of comedy" I think, David Spade. Good Lord has dementia somehow become a virus you contract thru amplified microphones?🤣 Patreon with video would be dope. Thanks guys!
I’m not sure what you’re laughing at exactly. They were literally referred to as the “Bad boys of SNL” (Spade, Sandler, Farley, Rock & Schneider) . They did an edgier style of comedy than SNL had been doing at that time. Plus they were definitely the “frat boys” of that era.
Guests are so hit and miss for me. Saw Nick's face and clicked immediately. Not disappointed. You want to take the temperature of comedy in 2024 -- great place to start
Better with no video. Like spade said to Seinfeld: “it’s like a telegram..” Swardson is one of these guys that has to dial the funny back for public consumption. Sounds weird but I see a few of these pros actually tuning down in interviews. I think Spade also dials back when camera on. Watch him on the old “Helen” show riffing for 20 minutes. Pure gold. Same with Seinfeld. You can see him keeping it in neutral in certain interviews just waiting to find a gear.
I love Nick, and Grandma's Boy is my favorite out of all of the movies he's done.
Grandma's Boy is awesome. And the spittake during Norm's mangrate read. Nick is great!
I like Nick, but I'll be replaying the Mangrate ad read when I'm on my deathbed.
NO MORE DRY MEAT!!!
Chicken, fish has never tasted so good!
I love that movie!
Grandma's Boy is a cult classic. Great movie!
I always immediately think of Grandmas Boy. Classic
Stand up guests are the best version of this show. It's so fun to hear about the backstage moments
He was the funniest thing about the movie Just Go With It - he’s clearly improvising and his quickness and embodiment of the character is fun to watch
Nick sounds great!! Glad to hear he's doing well & sounding healthy, so underrated. Love that dude
This is funniest podcast out there. Great chemistry.

Grandmas Boy is so damn good.
Grandma's Boy is severely underrated.
💯 That movie was on when I was walking through the room & it was so funny that I had to sit down & watched the whole thing & laughed my ass off.
My favorite feel good movie!
THIS is where I first saw him. He lived with his “roommates”

Remembering Norm!!!
Please make this happen!!!
If they do it'll likely be a mess like the Farley one, neither Dana nor David knows how to herd cats
Terry is the most brilliant character. I loved him he was so hilarious. I miss Terry - can’t get enough of him
Terry is brilliant.
You ever done Skittles?
10 minutes in and I can already tell the show is going to be funny. Great guest gentleman.
Nick and Spade have such underrated stand up. All around funny dudes
I was afraid they weren’t gonna talk about grandma’s boy one of my favorite movies
Love to see your faces especially with Nick because he's such a visual comedian such as all of you but very enjoyable to listen to.
Nick's Norm impressions are crazy good 😅 love that guy

I think Nick's Norm impression isn't good and I think that's odd because they were close friends. Ditto with Spade. Dana's isn't good either.

Stopped in to see if there is video of this podcast yet. One day I'll watch it, but not today.
How can you not have video? What is this 1998?
Lmao 41:26 that was such a good Lovitz impersonation 😂
Nick's character was a favorite on Reno 911. Very singular actor.
Video or not, happy to finally hear David and Nick together. And Dana, why not
I have loved Nick since Reno 911! I keep missing him when he tours my way, which happens to be Minnesota!! someday.. 😔✌️
Swardson was excellent in Grandma's Boy.
"High score? What does that mean? Did I break it?"

You fellas have a great friend. I'm so glad Rob Schneider has the balls to unabashedly stand firmly against totalitarianism.

David has his best hair days during Benchwarmers. 😂

Looking forward to seeing Nick in Billings, MT this fall!!
Probably my favorite episode so far. Great stuff!
That's my Boy and Grandma's Boy, are THE BEST! Loved this episode!
Rob Schnider wrote Massive head wound Harry ?!?! 🤕😂
Lovitz had the best line in Benchwarmers:
Try and keep it under a billion. It's all I've got.....on me
Nick didn't bring up his underrated short-lived comedy series Pretend Time. I hope it gets released on DVD or streaming someday.
