The only thing i really want is your friends staying in your lobby when save quitting so you can actually farm with your friends. And replayable side quests...
@@andrewneedham3281 yeah it’s like the game wants us to play with friends while also having the core gameplay mechanic being save quitting to farm loot
maybe a way for people to look at what guns they have already gotten. like a pokedex for guns. for those completionists to have one more thing to look forward to
Agreed, but I think they should do both a new character adds way more replayability but the fourth skill tree added so much more depth to each character I really think there is room for both
@bradearich1494 I agree. I bought all the dlc for Borderlands 3 at some point and i was looking forward to starting all over again with a new character as i relearned how to play the game. Unfortunately no new dlc character.
The story on this one HAS to hit. If this is supposed to be the BIG war, the story has to be amazing. But with Sam working on it, I know it will be top tier.
That and I would like to see GunProficiencies brought back, Pearlescents and higher, and would like to see being able to play as more than just 4 new Vault Hunters. Like with how Borderlands has progressed, we can make Axton, Zer0, Salvador, Mordecai, and Brick even better. And then make it to where at the end, after beating True Vault Hunter mode, we unlock the story for Lillith and be able to play as her.
Bl1's story was: use guns to kill things to get guns which is the entire point of borderlands. I liked bl2's story don't get me wrong but I'd rather have a bl1 no story then another bl3 story which gets bland by TVHM.
Reduce/eliminate the "Talk to character" quest steps. MOVE the HUB fast travel station to a place that actually makes sense, not 250,000 steps from the nearest thing.
The reason "talk to" quests exist is to inflate playtime. If we didn't have to travel back to quest/mission givers in 3, the game would have been like 4 hours long
@@captainspaulding5963 which is a good thing, short story is why borderlands 2 has so much replayability, finish the story and do all the fun endgame shit after
I'd like some vault hunter specific story missions. That way they can actually get fleshed out or better explain why they're here or their relationship with the crimson raiders. It also gives you a reason to replay the story with a different character. They need to be worth their time though, from a story perspective and loot perspective I feel.
Definitely this. It's rough that you get, maybe, 4 audio files that give a bare-bones backstory for your Vault Hunter. Especially when most of the side-quests in BL3 were straight unmemorable filler material.
Yeah, as much as people hate TPS they did this kinda well, the vault hunters would respond in different ways to certain events happening, and it gave them so much personality, for example, when Jack vents the scientists, Athena, Claptrap and Doppelganger react with "wow, that's fucked up man", Wilhem and Nisha agree with what Jack did (i think Nisha even cheers him for that lol), and Aurelia is kinda neutral, it's part of the job and she just wants to get paid, it's a small thing, but it added so much to each character, and there's more places in the story where this same thing happen. I thought they would do the same on Borderlands 3, but nope, all characters, despite being cool, are kinda the same personality wise.
My favorite feature of BL3 was being able to play with friends of different levels and it's balanced for both of you. Everyone forgets about this because it doesn't work if you have mayhem enabled.
I remember this as being one of the things the Devs talked about pre-release of BL3. I don't play with others so I never utilized it, but I do think it's a good feature.
Being able to restart a DLC without having to start a new game/character. I love the Fustercluck DLC but I don't want to go through the whole BS before getting on Sanctuary. Especially if there's no Dialogue skip.
Maybe I understood you wrong but if you own a DLC you can choose that in the character creation screen and you’ll automatically be at level 13 in sanctuary when you character is created
@@cb7234you do have to start a new character but in borderlands 3 from like 2 weeks ago you can create a max level character as long as you have beaten the game once and have a max level character and it puts you at the end of the game with all dlc ready to start and you could just use the vault to bring your weapons and gear with you
@@christianschwamberger2723 Their issue is with gameflow being nonexistent for replayability unless you axe something in return, which is unintuitive for the player who knows what they want to do with their time.
Things I want Player autonomy In bl1 whenever you interacted with something it would progress the mission and immediately give you a waypoint so that while the dialogue was happening you could make your way to the next objective. I have no idea why they moved away from this. It just drains the fun from repeat playthroughs of bl3 Dedicated drops Normal mode: 20% TVHM: 33% or 50% UVHM: 50% or 100% Each named enemy has 2 dedicated drops where one is only from them and the other can be world dropped. Also the drops don’t share a pool they both can drop on a kill. Dedicated drops should be relatively consistent for when you farm because the game should be respectful of people’s time. When I hear people that play these games a lot complain about if stuff drops too much it feels like they are out of touch with parts of the community. Also if you think the game drops too many legendaries just throw away 4/5 and impose that self restriction or something the game shouldn’t be less rewarding because you want it to be grindy-er some people only have the time to play the game a fraction of those players and they shouldn’t be punished for not having the same amount of game hours in a single/co-op story driven game. Now for those players that have all the time to play this game reward them by bringing back pearls and making them the super crazy insane rare drop that you have to grind for in like in bl2 Finally bring back seriphs and give a way to get a guaranteed drop like the proving grounds in bl3. If you complete a true trails it should be a guaranteed seriph drop and each seriph should have a dedicated trial but also make them farmable from vendors with true trials also giving crystals but you can only buy them from a vendor if you’ve completed that trail to show that you are worthy to use it
Loadout slots, swapable at any travel station. Different mission dialogue and rewards for each playthrough i.e. dive into some deep lore, and a place for those dedicated drops.
I loved in BL3 how each vault hunter had different dialogue in their own respective playthroughs. Yeah, you’d get the same response but it added a slight level of replay value for me to go through all the vault hunters and hear their dialogue. So more of that and definitely like you said, more dialogue and missions on repeat playthroughs that are exclusive to true vault hunter mode
If BL4 has vehicle parts again they need to make it so you keep parts across all characters, it’s so annoying trying to get the cyclone hover wheel every play through
with how much grind the series has seen, reducing the needless things like this would be a golden opportunity for a partial account-meta-progression system like that, even if it's just an automatic unlock system you can toggle (just like badass rank) for when it is appropriate for that character.
Something about the World Drop issue has been bugging me: What if there was a separate rarity for low-tier legendary items. The issue people always bring up is that BL3 has a bunch of legendaries drop from basic mobs, but 90% of them aren't useful outside of normal mode. So how about a rarity between purple and orange (or replace purples and bump everything else down a peg) for the named weapons which can be good, but are largely used to hold you over until you get max level when you can fill out your build with awesome and powerful legendary loot. Sort of like the unique blues and purples you often get as mission rewards, but as a discrete tier.
BL1 had this, it had yellow Legendaries and orange Legendaries. The Snowbound mod for BL2 re-adds yellow Legendaries and uses it mostly as a tier for Unique items, which I kinda prefer over having red text on blues/purples.
@@darthvaderreviews6926Definitely, I think uniques should have their own class. I know it can be uncertain whether a red text item is good but there have been plenty of unique blues and purples that could have been legendary. Have a tier for special gear.
I think if they track usage of each piece of gear like they did for BL3 and see that some Legendaries just don't get used, they either need to buff them (Like they did with the Hellwalker, Lob, Hellshock, etc...) until they do get used, or make them lose their Legendary status all together. They just become a Unique Blue or Purple if they only work in Normal/Non-mayhem modes. (If they don't work even in normal mode, i.e. Boring Gun, then just remove them from the game altogether).
I think obvious things like a loadout system would be nice. The way I'd personally like to see it work is that as you progress through the story you unlock three loadout slots which are their own inventory spaces. You can equip guns, grenades, shields, class mods, and skill tree points to each loadout slot individually and save them then name them. Then during game you could just bring up your menu and quickly select the loadout slot you want to use and the game would swap out all that gear and skill points to whatever you had assigned to the load out you selected. This wouldn't take up inventory space either, as each loadout is it's own space to hold gear. So basically you'd have 24 slots reserved for loadouts on top of however many inventory slots they can give us. This would encourage build crafting a bit more and let folks quickly swap between types of gameplay and builds for faster boss farming.
I want an in-game gun-pedia for legendaries and uniques (and hopefully pearls). It'll be its own menu in the Echo-4, and it'll show the name of the gun, but a preset parts combo as the icon. If the weapon isn't unlocked, then the icon is grayed out, but you can get a hint as to where it drops, but if it's a world drop it'll just say "world drop". Let's say this gun-pedia is in BL3, and you want a Hellwalker. The hint will say something like "Dropped in The Splinterlands from a goliath." Or if a raid boss drops the weapon you want, the hint will just straight up say, "Dropped from Lazyname The Invincible."
1: More quality of life mechanics 2: Balanced endgame 3: Fun boss fights (no invincible phases) 4: More viable weapon and build 5: Better modding support 6: Less visual clutter 7: Dialogue and cutscene skip 8: Movement mechanics like wallruning 9: Good character and story development 10: It's just fun to play
@@badmaw7073 ok? So what’s stopping them from 3 hitting them or 4 or 2 invincible phase just slow down fights and ruin fun builds or speedruns also every borderlands game has very large modding community it’s not exploiting it’s just playing them game with commands or anything people want it’s a mainly single player game no ones going to care if Dave cheats in a inf damage gun does it affect you? No
One thing about newgame+ I want to see return is the introduction of new enemy variants. Like how in bl2 there was the corrosive bullymongs that would show up in later playthroughs. I think it adds just that little bit extra that makes another playthrough a bit more interesting. If i was to be really ambitious I would love if the earlier bosses get special mechanics in the second playthrough since they are no longer "tutorial" bosses. Though if there is one thing I don't want to see is pure number differences. One thing about bl2 endgame that never appealed to me was the sheer numbers game the later "difficulty" increases had. They just buffed enemy hp, health regen, and damage. I would love to see more variety than that. I would love to see at later difficulties certain enemies have a chance to get unique weapons or new spawn locations. Speaking of enemies having unique weapons, I think it would be super cool if random enemies could spawn with legendaries. So that when you get a world drop weapon, the person who drops it is also wielding it beforehand. Doing so would also make it so people are more inclined to fight more of the spawned enemies if things like shields or grenades were also included. Just imagine if an enemy spawns with a Whiskey tango foxtrot shield and explodes themselves off a highground.
If they bring back anointments in anyway, they should take some inspiration from D4 and a few other loot games by making them rerollable and give two other options to pick from. In B3 I’m glad they finally added the reroller but spending thousands of eridium on one gun and never seeing that anoint feels SO bad. Especially when a lot of the anoints you’re rolling into are for other characters rather than the one you’re currently on.
For me a few QOL additions: -please no return to sanctuary for info you could easily be told over echo on your way to the next mission - more engagement from my vault hunter in cut scenes rather than just watching npcs getting killed without doing anything -dialogue/cut scene skip -ability to pick up loot as junk to reduce work involved in inventory management marking stuff to sell in to complement the recent update of instant sale of loot of a specified rarity when you pick it up -option for google map style gps with a guiding route to your destination
im sorry but if you need a gps style map then maybe you should be playing even easier games than this. i understand that maybe their map system is not the best but its not that bad come on.
Here are my notes for you Ki11ersix: I agree with most of your points, but wanted to expand on them / and elaborate on some of the things BL4 needs to keep as well: The TL;DR is: Make loot rare again, balance the enemies / economy better, make the game difficult / challenging again, balance the weapons / gear in the game (including slowing down average fire rates), remove weapons that can switch elements, reduce the amount of loot dropped by single enemies, and make bosses / enemies drop specific items again (facilitating god rolls etc). 1. The game needs to be DIFFICULT again (particularly on hardest difficulty). I want enemies / bosses that pose a legitimate threat / force me to strategise how I fight them again. I want to have to reserve ammo for key weapons “just in case” again. In BL3 you can come across a god tier boss / enemy and just throw a single cluster grenade and watch them disappear. They need to balance the game / remove broken weapons and gear and make sure they include plenty of difficult fights / enemies again. Difficulty here doesn’t always mean being able to kill you in 1 hit either - it means tanky health bars, crazy movement (i.e fast / agile enemies), and punchy / sustained damage that can be challenging to avoid. 2. I DEFINITELY agree with your comment about them needing to include bosses / enemies that drop specific items again. This should be the standard for most legendary items. Players want to farm god rolls and this is what facilitates it. 3. I hope they keep the same skill tree system (including the ability to have 2 action skills) as BL3 with BL4. My only comment would be that they try to cut down on pointless skills and make everything useful. 4. They need to make loot RARE again. I think BL2 had the amount of loot / tiers of loot right (contrary to your opinion). BL3 completely ruined the satisfaction of receiving loot by having legendaries rain absolutely everywhere - it felt absolutely stupid. The footage in your video is a perfect example of how stupid it is. Legendaries should be very rare (and other tiers should feel rare as well). Make me feel EXCITED when I see my first green / blue / purple / legendary item again. I think BL2 had the right balance for this area of the game (both in terms of the amount of loot / rarity of loot from respective enemies). 5. I hope they add a gunzerker to BL4. This would be particularly awesome to see within the new skill tree system they introduced with BL3. 6. They need to balance the weapons in the game. Slow weapons down a bit / make them shoot slower. Also increase the average reload time of weapons across the board. You shouldn’t be emptying your clip / reloading your gun every 0.3 seconds it’s just stupid, and it’s part of what makes ammo feel insignificant within BL3. Reloading should feel scary (i.e it is safe to reload / are there enemies nearby?). Make weapons a bit punchier to accomodate for slowing them down. Also make sure there are no broken weapons / gear in the game (i.e guns that destroy anything too easily). 7. Make weapons from different manufacturers feel more distinct again. BL2 did a much better job at making different weapons feel more distinct / emphasising the specific characters of each manufacturer. 8. I hope they keep the loot retrieval system from BL3 (to retrieve legendaries that get lost etc). 9. BL3 had a lot more diversity than BL2 in terms of worlds / aesthetics - I hope they expand on this with BL4. 10. I hope they keep / expand on the vehicle customisation in BL3. The number of vehicles and being able to customise vehicles was great in BL3. 11. The humour in BL3 was pretty bad, and I think BL2 did a lot better regarding the humour. So I hope they implement a humour style / quality similar to BL2 when introducing BL4. 12. The movement system in BL3 was a good improvement, so I hope they keep this with BL4. 13. They need to balance the economy again. This was another thing that BL3 did an extremely bad job of, but BL2 did quite well. The game should feel balanced in terms of how fast I’m earning currency / being able to afford things. But also - I want to mention ammo here as well. The game should feel balanced to the point where “saving for ammo” is a thing (particularly early-mid game), and ammo actually feels significant. This also plays into the things which boost the amount of ammo you can carry. Ammo felt a lot more significant in BL2, but feels insignificant in BL3 - which was due to various parts of the game being unbalanced as mentioned in other points (i.e guns should shoot slower, enemies should be more difficult, currency should be more difficult to obtain etc). 14. Make numbers in the game informative again. This was completely stupid in BL3 / much better in BL2. For example I don’t want to see “463826K^93736 trillion * 6252 billion” everywhere. They need to scale down / balance the numbers in the game so that they are actually informative again. It’s actually easy to get an indication of how much damage a particular weapon is doing / what sort of threat an enemy poses when the numbers are sane. This ties into a lot of the changes I mentioned above (like slowing down average fire rates) as well. 15. They need to tone down on free legendaries - both within the game itself and outside the game (i.e loot keys). BL2 had the right balance for this sort of stuff. This was another aspect of BL3 that ruined the satisfaction of receiving good items. 16. They need to remove guns that can switch elements. This was really stupid in BL3. BL2 did a much better job in terms of how weapon components were implemented (i.e a weapon can only have 1 elemental type damage). This makes weapons feel more distinct / gives them a more specific purpose and makes farming a weapon with a specific elemental type better. 17. I hope they focus on introducing well designed / balanced / interesting weapons and gear again. With BL3 they tunnel visioned way too hard on “one billion guns” and just looked for any excuse to reach that number. I would rather have them focus on the guns / components themselves and making the guns and gear awesome, and forgetting about a specific number. BL2 had plenty of gear / weapon variety so anything within that range is already great in terms of gear variety / diversity.
BL2 was architected with consciousness about it's ammo economy, which plays a heavy role in balance, and alleviating certain stress points like raising that cap as you progress. We need integral systems to actually be integral to gameplay. The movement mechanics in 3 are a stark example of how not to do things.
I have 2 ideas, one is depending on how they do certain things in the game 1: something along the lines of the borderlands science machine, this doesnt need to be at launch persay but would be a shame if they just dropped that for BL4 2: some sort of anointment reroller (if anoints are in the game) this needs to be in at launch, hell do something like the grinder in TPS, put the item you want to change anointment on into the machine, then put 2 items/guns with the anointment you want into it, then charge like say 50/75/100 eridium or something
I'm honestly supportive of there not being any old-gen support. Current-gen consoles have been out for SEVERAL years, and in my opinion "actual" current-gen experiences are few and far between right now. I was very excited to realize that BL4 will be a true current-gen experience.
A simple option to replay missions would be nice, that would solve the underleveled unique weapons issue. Once you complete the story the first time on a given character all missions/side missions gain a “replay” option that scales to your level. On NG+ you get the option from the jump obviously
Something I don’t think gets talked about enough is their enemy “difficulty” scaling, especially through mayhem modes. All they did is quadruple the enemy spawns and make them all have 3 different functioning health bars and make them have the ability to one tap you if your build didn’t have crazy sustain. Also, a mayhem mode without modifiers would be great pls
I for one would love to see a ginormous raid boss along side the traditional ones! Something akin to The Savior in Devil May Cry 4. Using launch pads to move around the boss and dodging attacks. I think it would bring alot of hype to a game everyone is ALREADY hyped for.
@@DwWarWolf Yeah, Joltz was in favor of a full nerf of legendary drops, back to BL1- type levels. I'm absolutely against that, and more in line with K6's opinion. While I agree that it's too easy to get legendaries in BL3, I also believe that about 75% of them are trash and probably shouldn't be legendaries. That, or they need to re-tier those weapons, add back that Pearlescent tier, and perhaps even create a tier for those meh-style legendaries that most of us don't use. The original BL made distinctions between decent and good legendaries by how dark the orange was in the text.
I actually have something that I would like to add that a lot of people probably didn't think about The max level cap out In Borderlands 3 we had five level caps those level caps were levels 53 57 60 65 and 72 I do not understand why they had to make so many level caps when the ending level cap was going to be 72 anyway Borderlands 2 literally did 61 72 for the longest time and then with Borderlands 3 released they did level 80 and they changed it from op8 to op10 I don't want to go in farm for the good items 5 or 6 more times just to set my character up when I've already just set them up
I know that BL3 seems like a lot less levels in the end, but consider you unlock your skill and can start putting points towards stuff by level 2 instead of 5. In reality BL2's level cap (outside of gun stats) is 75, so it's a lot closer to BL3 really. But I do agree that the odd very small jumps to get to that point in BL3 was a strange choice.
Couch coop. Been playing through the whole series with my wife because she loves it. But without splitscreen, it will be dead on arrival for me. They already took Halo from us, dont take Borderlands too.
We did at first, but found we preferred having the full screen real estate at our disposal. Unfortunately with separate consoles we're in separate rooms, so we're planning to install a second TV on the opposing wall in the MBR.
The improved couch co-op from Pre-Sequel into the new borderlands. The couch co-op was much better in Pre-Sequel then 2 with managing inventory and the status screen.
@@Razelmoute no way your too lazy to press a button once? and using a button how its intended shouldnt damage it unless your using too much force so that stick lifetime thing isnt true.
One thing I want that I dunno if other people would vibe with but I feel like it would be a great long term QoL feature? Add an in-game system to save builds and loadouts... still charge money to respec, but allow us to save different builds that we can switch between with a single push of a button.
Having choices in the story would make new playthroughs somewhat more interesting, being able to join the villain's side is something i wanted since handsome jack. Doing different choices through true vault hunter mode could be interesting, i also like when true vh brings in completely new enemies, new moves to learn how to go against, even new weapons would be good incentive
fire emblem-esque war story? NPC dies, and it unlocks a new mini-area because the friend wanted revenge, or you need an NPC alive to get a quest going. Sounds cool.
I would love to see Set items and a higher very very rare items plus even more customizations for skills. I would really really want to see special cutscenes and dialogue for your character you pick. And perhaps something specific you can use low level or low rarity items for
I actually liked the common world drops. Thinking about it from the casual player perspective, you don't know who drops what, what to farm for a specific build, etc, unless you're looking up entire builds. You could get through all of BL2 without ever knowing that a really cool gun even exists. The BL3 world drops ensured that you got to try out lots of cool guns throughout your run, which could help you decide what kind of stuff you wanted to build your character around, tell you what guns you wanted to look up a dedicated drop for, etc. Maybe they could bring back different tiers of legendary like BL1 had with the light to dark oranges, ensuring that you still needed to go farm dedicated sources for some of the top tier items, and it does kinda seem like that's what they tried with BL3, but just as usual did not account for which weapons ended up being insanely overpowered with cheesy builds, and ended up distributing a lot of broken shit through world drops and a lot of useless stuff through dedicated drops no one cared to farm.
What I'd really like to see in Borderlands 4 is an option to respec on the go. Imagine you want to change your build up a bit and DON'T have to fast-travel to the hub area to use the customization station. Just open your ECHO menu, go to your skill trees and press the "Respec" button.
I'd agree with this, but, instead of being able to respec on the go, why not make a system where you can save certain skill trees for various situations? One for mobbing, one for bossing, one for javelin Krieg, for example. I truly think being able to save loudouts and respec on the go would be a huge QoL for BL4.
@annunakismith exactly, I figure it better to just be able to quick swap to x build for this reason or y build for this boss rather than having to constantly head back to the hub area and respec.
I posted this on Joltz's video but I'll leave it here too: I think that every thing that gives a unique piece of equipment and / or has a dedicated drop, should be 100% able to be obtained again without read only farming and / or starting the entire playthrough again, that just seem like a massive waste of time. This is a looter shooter series, getting better loot to make your character stronger is literally the entire point of the franchise, let us get what ever loot we want again for the level our character is at. Is what you want from a name enemy? They should be 100% respawnable when ever you want. Is what you want from a mission and / or side quest? Let us replay it to get the loot again. Personally I think every enemy should be 100% respawnable as many times as we want, when ever we want, on level with your character, especially named enemies. I also think all missions and side quests should be replayable as many times as we want, when ever we want, on level with your character, without starting the entire game again. You might want to replay a mission and / or side quest just because you really liked it or you might want to try your new build and equipment out on a previous mission and / or side quest. These are my absolute number 1 things I want in Borderlands 4, with a story and characters that aren't utter garbage being a very close second.
I definitely agree with all of your ideas. I have a few that aren't quite as important but would be nice: 1) Start the game with all weapon/item slots unlocked. I think we are past only being able to equip 2 guns for half the game and not being able to equip a class mod or artifact when we find them, just because we haven't passed a certain part of the story. 2) No more SDUs. Just give us the full ammo capacity and inventory capacity right away. Farming money just for inventory space is boring. 3) The reason the loot pools were so crowded in BL3 was not only a lack of named enemies, but the fact that for every good Legendary there were 5 terrible ones. Make the Legendaries good. We do not need the Bearcat, Boring Gun, Malak's Bane, etc... to return. (The legendaries that were super good should return as Pearls in BL4). 4) Speaking of Legendaries, try not to power creep the crap out of them in each DLC. It seemed each DLC made it pointless to farm base game items ever again in BL3 (Until they went back and buffed some of them to compete). I get DLC for more gameplay, not just because of new gear. 5) Stop changing the level cap. Pick a level cap at launch and stick with it. I hated BL3 at launch when I had a perfect build going then had to re-farm everything 5 times as the level cap kept changing. (This was before rerolling anoints was a thing, too). 6) If anoints return, then make it so we can choose the reroll. I would much rather pay 20,000 eridium to pick the anoint than to pay 250 for a random one. They could even make it so rerolling can only occur after the main story if they want. 7) Make Tediore great again. Nerfing a manufacturer gimmick just because of its abuse in a very small percentage of the game is dumb. The only "good" Tediores by the end of BL3 were the ones that were only good at shooting and not chucking. This makes Tediore just another Dahl and that's boring. Having a gun sprout legs and chase after an enemy was one my favorite/funniest things added to BL3, but they made it do nothing. Edit: Thought of another= 8) Remove cosmetics from the loot pool altogether. Just have them auto-unlock when completing certain missions or achievements.
Playing borderlands 2 with cut scene and dialog skip saved me hours of time I wasn't trying to waste and made the flow and pace even more addicting. Also, air dashing makes tedious running and farming a breeze. I hope those mod features show up.
1. An optimized games. No need to rush the game, everyone will jump on it when it comes out so the cake has to be correctly cooked 2. Avoiding the constant back and forth to balance weapons 3. More diversity in the loadout : bring back those Hyperion pistol, manufacturer shield/grenade (bouncing dahl nade, arc thrower vladof nade, absorbing vladof shield, etc.) and etc. 4. More body type, we have thousand of skin and heads, but 3 body ? Come on, that's cheap 5. Build diversity. Not being lock into ONE specific build to be effective was the strong suit of BD3. Even if the build didn't work in end game, who cares, it work for the base game 6. The Drop Slide. A slide that make you choose between : loot-splosions but every parts enter the frame to the long and tedious farm of 0.00000069% but with garanted god rolls, and everything in between for custom loot farm 7. Makes each manufacturer even more unique. Exemple : Jackobs have a chance to bypass shield. Dahl can supress ennemy slowing them down 8. A good difficulty curve. I hate when the ennemie have just more health/shield/armor just for the sake of making it difficult. Be creative. Like a mob that buff the others and run away to avoid getting killed. More ennemies. Wandering mini boss with small army with garanted legendaries with good rolls 9.A good story. Duuuuuh sO oRiGiNaL 10. Loadout. Pre made build with skills and gear, ready to be apply at any travel station
I’m sorry but number 5 is a flat out lie. Fl4k alone can be built for crit, pets, snipers, grenade chucking, hell my man moxsy made a whole support build for him meant for reviving players. Sure maybe Zane and Amara have one build but I don’t know if you’re blind or just lying to yourself if you think Fl4k can only be built one way. Love everything else but don’t lie like that again
@@nathanhendrickson790 I think we have a misunderstanding. Maybe i didn't write it correctly. I was saying that BD3 offer a much larger variety of build for each character than the two last games. Your exemple of Fl4k, Mozze with her "I am the Armagedon" with different flavor. Hell Amara with her "Catch the ball" or to stuck multiple ennemy
I would like for more build variety. I don't like that we're forced into specific mates which leads to alot of certain gear to all become worthless. It's nice seeing more variety in these games just across the board.
If anointments return the reroll machine must make a return as well. The only thing I would add is another eridium like resource that would only drop from raid bosses or takedown bosses. These would be used to allow you to choose which anointment you want. You could still randomly roll with eridium. This system would allow hard-core players dedicate their time to acquiring gear to perfect their builds without wasting too much time.
The problem with the story is you're not in it lol like the end cut scene after you beat tyreen Lilith, tannis and ava are there and you're nowhere to be found even though you're the one that fought the fight, and it's that way in every cut scene, it's real hard to feel any connection to the story when you're never a part of the story
I'd really like even better movement mechanics. The movement in bl3 is fantastic and one of the reasons i enjoy it more than bl2. If they can make the movement even better I'll fall head over heels for bl4
Crafting should be added. Like weapon parts though. It costs money and it's rng on the parts you get but i think it's a good way to use your infinite money by end game while trying to craft the weapon parts you need to make your sandhawk a god roll.
I really want them to add some sort of crafting bench so you can make the perfect gun or class mod. But it needs to have some limitations in order for farming to still be a thing. For example, you want a Flare class mod with +5 in Means of Destruction, +5 in Stainless Steel Bear, and +5 in a Cloud of Lead. To craft such a class mode, the first thing you'll need is a class mod that already has a tree skills slot. Then you start farming a class mod that has +5 points in a particular skill. When you've found such a class mod, you can transfer a +5 skill to a class mod with 3 skill slots. But when you transfer +5 skill to another class mod, it loses one skill point (with such a system, you can only get godroll through farming). Additional stats should work in the same way. If you want to add "+43% skill damage" to your class mod, you can transfer it from another class mod that you find, but it will lose like 5% of skill damage. So the maximum that you can get through crafting is "+ 38% skill damage.". It should cost a percentage of your eridium, so the more eridium you have, the more it will cost. It would be cool to see such a thing in BL4.
@@evilchicken314I’d say bring back Eridian guns from BL1 since it’s theorized that we’re going to be on the Eridian parent planet. But find a way to make them good and not annoying to use like BL1.
@@thegreenguys9138 I am just imagining a chainsaw that takes sniper rounds, so you just have 50cal belt fed saws concussing you and the target, brutal.
I’d like to see mission reward blue rarities come back as some of the best weapons in the the game. It makes the side quests worth completing and some of the quests were fun
11. Not every single boss needs to have an immunity phase or multiple immunity phases. For bosses like Captain Haunt it worked, but overall in BL3 it was overused, and came across like lazy boss design. 12. There should be a fast travel station next to every single boss to make farming easier. Maps like Athenas or Skywell could have used a second fast travel station. Also, don't give the story to someone who doesn't understand how to write characters. The best thing Ava ever did was the deleted scene we got storyboarded in one of the DLC's that was so good none of us could figure out why it was left out. Them releasing that only compounded the issue that the lead writer had no idea what he was doing. We can't give Ava proper growth, but we can leave in Typhon Devito's 3,658 references to turds and banging his wife. Yes, the story was THAT bad. As someone who is a lore nerd it was horrible. The game was already dated at launch. It ended with an ALICIA KEYS SONG for pete's sake. We went from "Oh lord there ain't no heaven" to "This girl is on fire"...c'mon now. And the fact that you reference the siren stuff kinda proves the issue at hand as it was completely optional side stuff. Is it cool to hear it all? Absolutely. But the main story campaign is the issue with the game, the siren lore is like putting sprinkles on a turd cake you bang your wife on. The gameplay is stellar, I agree, but the story is what people remember the most. Just look at BL2. Give us a BL2 competent story, and BL3 gameplay and BL4 could be god-tier. But with BL3 being bad writing. Wonderlands feeling like a cash grab. New Tales being so bad it makes BL3 somewhat tolerable, and now the Borderlands movie...they need to hit a home run here. The people in charge either need to step up, or step down. I would not cry if Randy Pornford left tomorrow.
The execution was the best out of every borderlands game. You had the 1st game and learning about the vault, as well as angel being there to guide you, then the presequel where you meet jack for the first time and see how he came who he became by the time the second game comes around. Then the 2nd game delivers phenomenally on storytelling, atmosphere, and character building. The issue with 3 is the twins didn't have the same kinda build up as Jack. They only had echo logs to show what happened. @zdot_lazy
I think some of you people are asking for too much out of the game.I'm a borderlands player too And I like the story missions and the drops I don't see nothing wrong with it other than the game crashing that really sucks,, I'm just curious about the missions And following the story lines,,, What people don't realize is upering The mayham mode will increase Your drops so if people are worried about easy drops they need to lower the mayhem mode,,,
This is my opinion, bring back the the device that fused weapons from The Presequel. For example, I'm just imagining three different infinite pistols become a fused multi-elemental infinite pistol. Just imagine a shield or artifact.
it was called the "Grinder" it did'nt fuse them,it used the input weapons as ingredients for a weapon recipe then spat out a item of resulting catagory. it was buggy at times since three lasers didn't give back another laser,it just spat out random gun type.
@@seanmurphy4270 Thank you for the name of it. It's been some time since I played The Presequel. It was buggy, yes, but I think it's been enough time for them to try again and fix any possible issues that originally arose.
@lonewolffang I think so as well,or, any reasonable person would. Considering that top of everybody's list is having Drop sources on launch and the player base has to basically twist Gearbox's arm to get them every time, I don't think that reasonable people are running the company.
Once you complete any mission side mission story missions there should be an option in the menu in mission history to replay that mission at your level and get the loot again. This would allow people to farm mission items any time at any level. Maybe make it so you half to complete the story to replay one story mission?
My main complaint about the borderlands 3 story was Maya’s death. I’m not too upset how she died anymore I’m just mad that the way it’s setup it made it look like the vault hunters came out the portal and watched everything happen and did nothing. I still wish it was after you grab the loot, it plays the cutscene to show what you missed
More vault hunters. Please!!! I love being able to go through multiple characters and build them out and see which one I liked. But with the new vault hunters make them discoverable. I remember twisted metal black back in the day you had to find the other drivers before you could play as them and they were hidden well. Once unlocked they came with their own back story. Do that. Have characters spread out through the universe via side missions and once completed you unlock a new character to play as.
@@Gunshell66 Handsome Jack is one of the best villains in video games history. But I want something else. I want something that would make Handsome Jack tremble in fear.
Combine the autosell items under a specific rarity with an optional autopickup function for items of said rarity. So if you're autoselling everything below purples you automatically hoover up all sub-purple items and sell them, since you don't even want to look at them. Sure it's convenient that you don't need to lug two dozen useless guns around anymore, but if you still need to pick them up one by one a lot of the effect is wasted.
I'd like to see an expansion on the Arms Race concept. It was a good idea with an underwhelming execution. If they were to make the mode less of a battle royale parody and more of a rogue-like, like Gunfire Reborn or Robo Quest, I think it could be a blast.
The biggest thing they need to fix is the ability to play online with your friends because I am tired of the bug on 3 for borderlands 4 where i don't have to reload my game a million times to so my game dont go to offline and I can't play with my friends
Dlc vault hunters, a decent story if not a good one, and the ability to skip dailogue . Sitting through the same dailogue youve heard 200 times kills playthroughs for me. sometimes
Leave the world drops as they are, or, have a selector, BL2 level for guys who don’t like fun, BL3 for us guys who like to get and try lots of different legendaries and not play with the same guns and grenade over and over and over again. And then maybe a third option for somewhere in the middle. And don’t forget, things you’re asking for, along with Joltz and all the others is what YOU need as a content creator to keep the game alive - I don’t need seraph rarity guns or whatever because I don’t want to play through a game a thousand times trying to find that one gun I just want a fun, replayable game with a little bit of farming and hunting legendaries from fixed drops. I don’t need Obnoxious the invincible with ten billion health points that takes an hour of faultless play to defeat. I’d rather go back to the beginning and play again with another character. So for me, BL3 as it is now is almost perfect for replayability except I’d love to have another couple of vault hunters. It’s time Tiny Tina was a playable vault hunter for a start, I have a feeling Clay will also be a vault hunter at some point too.
This x10000. The vast majority of players don't play like content creators or crazy sweatboys who get a kick from killing raid bosses in .05 secs for a decade after the game is out. With a game like this, personalisation is huge because it's the only way to cater to all the different people playing it - including streamers who are a very specific, niche group within the general consumer base.
Bl2 but slightly more common is the best bl3 removes the fun of getting a legendary and 90% of bl3 legendarys sucks so you end of useing the same 10 or so guns
@Gunshell66 you are doing things VERY wrong if you are only using "like 10 guns" in BL3 endgame. It's not Borderlands 2 where everyone has a Harold, Grog, Lyuda and Sandhawk... there are ACTUALLY multiple weapons and builds that are perfectly viable for BL3 endgame content
you pretty much hit everything I could think of too, couple little things presets for gear and wardrobe, bring back melee weapons like wonderlands, and a banger story with a villian or multiples that feel like threats and not whiny teenagers.... thanks K6!
1 create max lvl character after hitting max/beating game once. 2. Dedicated drops. 3. Raid bosses (not through trials) as well as takedowns. (Endgame content that was free. 4. Hostable farming lobbies. The ability to host a special form of lobby where you can pin a player you wish to be taken back to your main menu when you save and quit so you dont need to keep inviting on save quit farms. 5. The removal of mayhem/op levels. I rather have multiple playthroughs instead of broken scaling on enemies and gear. (With the addition of my first thing to skip to max level per playthrough) 6. Cutscene skipping. 7. Loot filter. 8. An in game button to view your friends build. 9. Some sort of in game weapon list that tells you what boss drops what gun once discovered. You can pin it like a active mission. 10. Way better artifacts for slam if they plan to keep that in the game, or the removal of the animation as it takes away from your ability to do anything for a couple seconds. (Better artifacts preferred over removing the system)
Creating max level characters just removes the fun of ever getting to play a new character or learning them and dedicated loot lobbies does the same for farming and leveling
I love mayhem/op level I just don't like the modifiers, I like when the enemies are 10 level higher than me so the game become more challenging. There should be an option to turn off modifier completely. I think gearbox did a great job regarding op/mayhem
@@Gunshell66and guess what even if that’s implemented you don’t have to use just ignore it and go through each character like you normally do. It ain’t that serious.
4:20 Something that needs to be understood is that nobody enjoys fighting raid bosses. Just the same as nobody enjoys fighting bosses in the soulsborne series. The fight itself isn’t fun. What’s fun is the anticipation of what they might drop. In borderlands case collecting unique items dropped by that boss is where the fun comes from. Don’t get it twisted. If they bring back traditional raid bosses the gear they drop *needs* to be interesting and worth the hassle and time consumption of the fight. Gearbox should really take notes from remnant and have those guns and grenades copycat boss attacks that the player can use. Make us feel like we took a piece of that boss home.
I want Borderlands 4 to be as close as possible to the first game, alongside QoL changes. The way many of the mechanics behaved in the first game made gameplay incredibly enjoyable, as well as the overall atmosphere. Borderlands the pre sequel had some nice mechanics, like the moonstone chests that were spread around maps, allowing you to clear a boss or some enemies, and then backtrack to get some nice loot.
It will need a better implementation of Mayhem mode (no god awful multipliers) It will need a STRONG end game. Either very rare weapons/shields or dedicated, lengthy randomized dungeons that have checkpoints More than 2-3 takedowns for sure. Maliwan takedown is PERFECTION but would love a similar, longer one. Longer than the guardian takedown but with less garbage like the crystals. Lastly, a complex but friendly skill tree so diversity can come from more than one meta build per character
Bring back Pearls but make them rare as fuck (BL1 rare) and make it so they're the literal "Best in Slot" thing. Not by much, but just enough so that the sweatlords has something to strive towards. Also, make it so you can only equip ONE Pearl at the time on your char. Fill your bags all you want, but only equip one. (As an aside, yes The Butcher obviously has to be a Pearl again - perhaps also the Hellwalker just because it deserves to be top tier)
I want to see some cool side missions, where we can play with our favorite npcs. They have their own build and skills, we just get to play as them, Like a impossibly hard raid monster playing as hammerlock. Or some biker gang trashed moxxis bar, now you have to do some crazy takedown as moxxi with her weapons.. so on and so forth.
That's what I wanted from Mothergunship so bad, the perma-loss roguelikeness of it starts to weigh on your creativity, so custom builds staying as character centric isn't the worst thing, but I do love that idea of tinkering weapons, and reminds me a LOT of how Destiny 1 did things.
So borderlands 3 is great but I originally quit the game in 2020 because I became frustrated with it. I only returned in 2024 since they fixed the issues stated below. Hopefully they learned: Annointments (if they're still going to be used) should be reasonable to obtain. Crazy earls machine is fine now, but when the game released it was frustrating to get the right annointment, especially since the endgame requires it. Level increases should be more significant. I hated that they released level increases in increment of 3. Constantly had to refarm weapons and items every few months. Stopped playing since might as well wait for them release level 72 and be do with it. Mayhem mode has no progression. You just jump straight to 11. Also, modifiers suck. Love arms race. Hopefully they do something similar. But there's no point to keep playing arms race once you have the legendaries.
To be able to have build save slots for all the characters. Like 4 or 5 slots so you can easily swap between play styles easily. Either on the fly or even at a quick change station, that functionality would be a game changer. It such a pain in the butt to have to swap everything, every time you want to try a new play style
Suggestion for getting Unique items: Put them in a "Trials" analogue. That way we can farm uniques specifically without it being random and it's still linked to gameplay.
@@zdot_lazypresequel was difficult for the sake of being difficult. What's the point of a good drop if the one you got it off of wasn't even worth the fight? Borderlands 2 at least makes it worth it. You know what you can get. And you fight to earn it.
I want the dialog from pre sequel, I miss when the characters had reactions to what others said, it really helps me connect with the story. Also air boost/ butt slam, I like jumping long distances and it feels faster than walking.
Optimize the game!!! The fact the people with High end PCs still have issues with stutter in BL3 is unreal. I shouldn't have to go into windows settings and disable security features in order to get a smoother experience.
Oooh. Don’t do that. I always recommend DX12 and run the Benchmark Utility multiple times. This teaches the game your shaders. Then load in on several maps to let it learn more. Turn off Vokumetric Fogturn off all social notifications Cap frame rate to 90fps at most.
A possible solution to the New Game Plus tedium is maybe implement, into the story, the playable character going back in time (with all their gear and knowledge), so they can skip most of the unnecessary stuff. They know where all the key items are, and about the time wasting backtracking that's not necessary, etc. Alternatively, make subsequent playthroughs boss rushes. Just all the named enemies in a row in sections. More storage is a must for me. I try to save every unique and legendary (aside from identical copies) that drop, even if I'll never use them. For a game that's all about the loot it has nowhere near enough storage for collectors like myself. Combined with a bit of a drop in how common Legendary items are, that would be great. Higher rarities like Pearls would be nice, but they actually need to be good, not just useless gimmicks. Far too often the Legendary and beyond rarities end up as useless novelties.
This video has it all! I am confident Gearbox will hear us when it comes to Borderlands 4. They had plenty to learn from when it comes to BL3 & Wonderlands etc. Curious to see how they tackle farming this time around. Hoping we don't have to save quit to do it but hey as long as we have dedicated farming to begin with them I am all good with that
I think it would be nice to for more "Turn into NPC-A or NPC-B" Missions. Something like the safe and sound quest from BL2, or Bad Hair Day. As those were always fun to do as a first time player to be able to choose one unique reward over the other. As well as, if they bring the "Veteran Rewards" machine back. To allow you to grab both items from said machine for whatever currency the machine takes without needing to reset, or start a new playthrough/character. Another thing I would like is to bring back something like the Dahl Grinder from TPS to allow you to get unique weapons that can only be obtained through eridium/moonstone. Or be able to turn certain unique weapons into cooler ones. Such as how effervescent items are just reskins of normal legendaries (World Burn - Nukem | Nirvana - Hellfire | Peak opener - Kerblaster | Etc... ) You would be able to do that without needing to farm a brand new dedicated drop source for practically the same gun with higher damage.
Shit, we just need a "True Vault Hunter" gamemode so people can have their theme park, and people who want to play the actual video game can do so. And ofc, let the two cross-pollinate, so your character host dictates the gamemode, so friends can take their own pace or join together when needed.
Level 72 at launch, then over time introduce new weapons, class mods, skins and all that good stuff. Pearls need to come back but I want to ern them not just say here ya go thanks for playin kind of thing make it hard to get them so when you do get one you have that feeling that you worked hard to get them and have them work and be useful. I have so many of them in BLD2 but they are not useful at all.
I would really appreciate a mission replay option in BL4. I hate when I have to redo an entire playthrough just to try and get a piece of gear, let alone a godroll version of it. On top of that I’d like blue rarity unique items to be good again. Not all of them were amazing in BL2 but a good amount of blue rarity uniques were some of the meta options. I’d love to see rarity diversity and like K6 said, pearls be the top of the food chain.
When it comes to world drops i think we need to go much closer to 2, BUT one thing 2 had was COMMUNITY EVENTS where badass enemies had increased chances to drop certain rare loot like The Twister or the Grog Nozzle. I think a cool work around which could be implemented in the late game especially would be Boss Tokens. You win them through trial chambers, raid bosses or perhaps you can buy them in vending machines or you just get one for killing a boss a certain number of times, the point is it should be relatively hard to get but far from impossible. You insert a "Gettle" Token known for dropping the Lyuda on bl2 into a slot machine and now badasses have an increased chance to drop the Lyuda on a certain planet. Now as your going through the OP or Badass levels you no longer have to farm one guy for an hour for your favourite gun on level, instead simply mobbing on that planet will semi regularly produce Lyudas, enough so you can effectively search for the perfect parts for your sniper build. Either that or they bring back the grinder but its not awful
The only thing i really want is your friends staying in your lobby when save quitting so you can actually farm with your friends. And replayable side quests...
Agreed. The best we get is Mayhem swapping? That needs improved, especially with the emphasis on playing with others.
A reset spawns option would be nice, so you can actually do that with friends instead of save quit
@@Gef105 or have your group of friends function like a fireteam in destiny, also similar to squads in battlefield
@@andrewneedham3281 yeah it’s like the game wants us to play with friends while also having the core gameplay mechanic being save quitting to farm loot

maybe a way for people to look at what guns they have already gotten. like a pokedex for guns. for those completionists to have one more thing to look forward to
Not necessarily at launch, but bring back DLC characters. 4th skill tree was nice, but new DLC characters are superior
Just bring back both (the 2 dlc characters and 4th skill tree even on the dlc characters
Agreed, but I think they should do both a new character adds way more replayability but the fourth skill tree added so much more depth to each character I really think there is room for both
I honestly prefer the 4th skill tree.
@bradearich1494 I agree. I bought all the dlc for Borderlands 3 at some point and i was looking forward to starting all over again with a new character as i relearned how to play the game. Unfortunately no new dlc character.
Gaige was definitely one of my favorite characters. DLC characters were amazing
Gameplay&everythingelse>>>>>story
No it doesn’t. If you’re playing borderlands for an amazing story then you’re playing for the wrong reason
Bl1's story was: use guns to kill things to get guns which is the entire point of borderlands. I liked bl2's story don't get me wrong but I'd rather have a bl1 no story then another bl3 story which gets bland by TVHM.
90% of the ppl who play BL dont play for the story
Reduce/eliminate the "Talk to character" quest steps.
MOVE the HUB fast travel station to a place that actually makes sense, not 250,000 steps from the nearest thing.
The reason "talk to" quests exist is to inflate playtime. If we didn't have to travel back to quest/mission givers in 3, the game would have been like 4 hours long

@@andrewneedham3281 same
i had a laugh when i was listening to mozes backstory like about her real name lol
Cool idea
This is a great idea!!
@@elfrog5548 I don't want to make a new character. Just let me play the dlc with the same max lvl character whenever I want.

@@christianschwamberger2723 Their issue is with gameflow being nonexistent for replayability unless you axe something in return, which is unintuitive for the player who knows what they want to do with their time.
Things I want
Player autonomy
In bl1 whenever you interacted with something it would progress the mission and immediately give you a waypoint so that while the dialogue was happening you could make your way to the next objective. I have no idea why they moved away from this. It just drains the fun from repeat playthroughs of bl3
Dedicated drops
Normal mode: 20%
TVHM: 33% or 50%
UVHM: 50% or 100%
Each named enemy has 2 dedicated drops where one is only from them and the other can be world dropped.
Now for those players that have all the time to play this game reward them by bringing back pearls and making them the super crazy insane rare drop that you have to grind for in like in bl2
Finally bring back seriphs and give a way to get a guaranteed drop like the proving grounds in bl3.
I would be happy Even if they did that in sanctuary.
Save file banks as well as profile bank
Loadout slots, swapable FROM YOUR INVENTORY. Destiny 2 has been doing this for a while, and it is really useful.

The hint will say something like "Dropped in The Splinterlands from a goliath."
Or if a raid boss drops the weapon you want, the hint will just straight up say, "Dropped from Lazyname The Invincible."

2: Balanced endgame
3: Fun boss fights (no invincible phases)
4: More viable weapon and build
5: Better modding support
6: Less visual clutter

8: Movement mechanics like wallruning

Maybe this time we’ll get some real interaction with the Tediore company
I am pretty sure they are scared to touch it, because the first time they threw away one of the concepts the entire thing exploded xD
For me a few QOL additions:
-please no return to sanctuary for info you could easily be told over echo on your way to the next mission
- more engagement from my vault hunter in cut scenes rather than just watching npcs getting killed without doing anything
-dialogue/cut scene skip
-ability to pick up loot as junk to reduce work involved in inventory management marking stuff to sell in to complement the recent update of instant sale of loot of a specified rarity when you pick it up
-option for google map style gps with a guiding route to your destination
im sorry but if you need a gps style map then maybe you should be playing even easier games than this. i understand that maybe their map system is not the best but its not that bad come on.
Replay-able missions for endgame content so we can farm mission rewards or if you just really like a certain mission and want to play it again
Here are my notes for you Ki11ersix:
I agree with most of your points, but wanted to expand on them / and elaborate on some of the things BL4 needs to keep as well:
The TL;DR is: Make loot rare again, balance the enemies / economy better, make the game difficult / challenging again, balance the weapons / gear in the game (including slowing down average fire rates), remove weapons that can switch elements, reduce the amount of loot dropped by single enemies, and make bosses / enemies drop specific items again (facilitating god rolls etc).
Thank you for summing up. Pretty much everything. I was thinking in a concise manner so I did not have to.
BL2 was architected with consciousness about it's ammo economy, which plays a heavy role in balance, and alleviating certain stress points like raising that cap as you progress. We need integral systems to actually be integral to gameplay. The movement mechanics in 3 are a stark example of how not to do things.
I have 2 ideas, one is depending on how they do certain things in the game
1: something along the lines of the borderlands science machine, this doesnt need to be at launch persay but would be a shame if they just dropped that for BL4
2: some sort of anointment reroller (if anoints are in the game) this needs to be in at launch, hell do something like the grinder in TPS, put the item you want to change anointment on into the machine, then put 2 items/guns with the anointment you want into it, then charge like say 50/75/100 eridium or something
i kinda like that idea bc 250 eridium to reroll is terrible and you cant even pick your roll so you could spend 2500 easy
I'm honestly supportive of there not being any old-gen support. Current-gen consoles have been out for SEVERAL years, and in my opinion "actual" current-gen experiences are few and far between right now. I was very excited to realize that BL4 will be a true current-gen experience.
I read your name as Atin Yvi King and was quite confused
It also lets the team focus on optimizating the new gen only instead of jumping in between

Also a spawn reset button at bosses after their first story death!

I actually have something that I would like to add that a lot of people probably didn't think about
The max level cap out
In Borderlands 3 we had five level caps those level caps were levels 53 57 60 65 and 72
I do not understand why they had to make so many level caps when the ending level cap was going to be 72 anyway
Borderlands 2 literally did 61 72 for the longest time and then with Borderlands 3 released they did level 80 and they changed it from op8 to op10
I don't want to go in farm for the good items 5 or 6 more times just to set my character up when I've already just set them up
At least bl3 was free dog bl2 was a whole cash grab
I know that BL3 seems like a lot less levels in the end, but consider you unlock your skill and can start putting points towards stuff by level 2 instead of 5.
In reality BL2's level cap (outside of gun stats) is 75, so it's a lot closer to BL3 really.
But I do agree that the odd very small jumps to get to that point in BL3 was a strange choice.

DLC characters again. Playing with the same 4 characters was fun and all, but it was also cool having more characters to experience.
I agree with yall.

@@D3m0nW4r Like having saved presets. That would be cool.
@annunakismith exactly, I figure it better to just be able to quick swap to x build for this reason or y build for this boss rather than having to constantly head back to the hub area and respec.
BL3 developer: I was thinking we should add some raid B-
Randy: Nah, Give them Taunt, same thing.
I posted this on Joltz's video but I'll leave it here too:
I think that every thing that gives a unique piece of equipment and / or has a dedicated drop, should be 100% able to be obtained again without read only farming and / or starting the entire playthrough again, that just seem like a massive waste of time.
I have a few that aren't quite as important but would be nice:
1) Start the game with all weapon/item slots unlocked.

2. Avoiding the constant back and forth to balance weapons
Come on, that's cheap
5. Build diversity. Not being lock into ONE specific build to be effective was the strong suit of BD3. Even if the build didn't work in end game, who cares, it work for the base game
6. The Drop Slide. A slide that make you choose between : loot-splosions but every parts enter the frame to the long and tedious farm of 0.00000069% but with garanted god rolls, and everything in between for custom loot farm
7. Makes each manufacturer even more unique. Exemple : Jackobs have a chance to bypass shield. Dahl can supress ennemy slowing them down
8. A good difficulty curve. I hate when the ennemie have just more health/shield/armor just for the sake of making it difficult. Be creative. Like a mob that buff the others and run away to avoid getting killed. More ennemies. Wandering mini boss with small army with garanted legendaries with good rolls
9.A good story. Duuuuuh sO oRiGiNaL
This. I want air dashes, double jumps, more speed increases overall. The run and gun abilities need to be standard.
The lost loot should be similar to a vending machine
Crafting should be added. Like weapon parts though. It costs money and it's rng on the parts you get but i think it's a good way to use your infinite money by end game while trying to craft the weapon parts you need to make your sandhawk a god roll.
I know a lot of people didn’t like it but I wish they put DLC vault hunters back in the game. But put a bit of effort into them
It still feels off that 3 doesn't have any
I really want them to add some sort of crafting bench so you can make the perfect gun or class mod.
I want more dlc characters. New skill trees were nice, new characters are better. BL2 knocked it out of the park with gaige and kreig!
This list is basically what we had bl3 we need in 4
No. Mayhem. Modifiers. Also, if we're going to other parts of the galaxy, we need some new gun manufacturers.
What sort of gimmick would you give a new Manufacturer? I know Borderlands could come up with something but I can't think of any I'd want
Melee version guns like chainsaw gun not like sword splosion or the rocket launcher from agonizer red title should be just like "GET IN THERE BRO"
@@evilchicken314I’d say bring back Eridian guns from BL1 since it’s theorized that we’re going to be on the Eridian parent planet. But find a way to make them good and not annoying to use like BL1.

Tbh bl2 story wasn’t the greatest either and imo the writing was well executed at times.
Just imagine a shield or artifact.
it was called the "Grinder"
it did'nt fuse them,it used the input weapons as ingredients for a weapon recipe then spat out a item of resulting catagory. it was buggy at times since three lasers didn't give back another laser,it just spat out random gun type.
A competent villain. Handsome Jack was special. They need somebody that can at least remind us of Jack.
Lightning in a bottle, man. I dont want a villain that reminds me of Handsome Jack. I want something that makes me forget Handsome Jack existed.
@@gogeta687why?
Jack was just mostly fun when it comes to serious and dark humor it’s really not there when you think about it
@@Gunshell66 Handsome Jack is one of the best villains in video games history. But I want something else. I want something that would make Handsome Jack tremble in fear.
Jack was a run of the mill bad guy. His story is basic, as are his motives. DAMIEN CLARKE made him good.
I’d love more playable characters AND 4 skill trees. More variety the better.
Sitting through the same dailogue youve heard 200 times kills playthroughs for me. sometimes
I'd rather see a legendary than a loading screen trying to farm one.
Excellent points, I'm guessing they are probably to far in development to address any big changes...
raid boss idea.. pickles or grandma torgue reading the Neverending story... DO IT GEARBOX
3 things I want character creation and weapon modification and melee fighting like kreig had.
Leave the world drops as they are, or, have a selector, BL2 level for guys who don’t like fun, BL3 for us guys who like to get and try lots of different legendaries and not play with the same guns and grenade over and over and over again. And then maybe a third option for somewhere in the middle.
And don’t forget, things you’re asking for, along with Joltz and all the others is what YOU need as a content creator to keep the game alive - I don’t need seraph rarity guns or whatever because I don’t want to play through a game a thousand times trying to find that one gun
I just want a fun, replayable game with a little bit of farming and hunting legendaries from fixed drops.
(With the addition of my first thing to skip to max level per playthrough)
@@Gunshell66dude I’m only gonna play with one character I don’t care.
It will need a better implementation of Mayhem mode (no god awful multipliers)
It will need a STRONG end game. Either very rare weapons/shields or dedicated, lengthy randomized dungeons that have checkpoints
More than 2-3 takedowns for sure.
Give us a weaponsmith that could change out parts on our guns.
Hopefully they learned:
Annointments (if they're still going to be used) should be reasonable to obtain.
Borderlands 2 world drops were so rare they felt special
No they didn’t they were absolutely annoying pre sequel felt special when you got one you actually earned it
@@zdot_lazypresequel was difficult for the sake of being difficult.
Working splitscreen is number 1 for me. It worked fine in every entry except 3 where it was broken on launch and they never bothered to fix
What are you talking about me and my buddy played every second of borderlands three split screen and every single DLC and never had any problems
I want a villian who is the opposite of Handsome Jack, someone who comes across as a serious threat rather than charismatic jokester.
Turn off Vokumetric Fogturn off all social notifications
Cap frame rate to 90fps at most.
Decent blue/purple items
6:25 lov ur video, but story in bl3 is dogsh*t don't deny it...
I just want that they don´t nerf chracters skills like Fl4k original crit build
I would love the rainbow gear to come back and glitch guns if not it's fine but I wish if it will returns
