    Good day from Ontario. Yes yesterday it was about 90. My asthma felt it. A neighbour told me yrs. ago put in plastic
    feed bag & drive over them. Right now pop cans are .70 Thanks I would be in house too with that temp.

      I do have a nematic can crusher, a few of the can's in that load were crushed, I need to find a good place to set the cage where I can access it with the tractor and crush all the can's, I may get 300 to 400 lbs. in it.

    I wanted to camp and fish after I retired. I didn't want to buy an RV because it was an expensive and troublesom thing to do. I did however buy a 15 year old ome for only a few thousand, and using it for a camping trip here in Oklahoma is fantastic. But as Steve says, Don't but an RV. I add if its new and you never owned one before. LOL

    • @Okiescrapper
      @Okiescrapper  11 місяців тому +1

      yes, they are way over priced, I think most of our fishing will be day trips, but we plan to camp some, short stays, 2 or 3 days. some of the city lakes have good camp ground pricing for seniors, I got a 6 x 12 cargo trailer to keep the camping gear in and plan to put an AC unit in it and use it to camp and sleep in, and I can haul a 12 foot jon boat in it. I plan to fix it up soon and I still need to get a good 12' jon boat. I am working on a 3.9 outboard that will work great for a small boat

    I had 10 smash bags of cans in my apartment life they're like 240 lb something and I made $162 not bad for recycling cans in the apartment life because I tried to do that on my side job for extra money which I am trying to save it and build up that can money for good reasons

    had a scrap yard tell me that they did not accept crushed cans, that they did not weigh as much as cans that were not crushed because there was less air inside. took my cans elsewhere and never went back.

    • @Okiescrapper

      Same here. It takes about 24 cans to make a pound so if he had 100 pounds, that would be 2,400 cans. At $0.05 each, that would be $120

    • @Okiescrapper
      @Okiescrapper  Рік тому

      so if I had a 16 foot trailer full with a 7 foot roof it would be worth the time and fuel to take them to another state to cash them in for the .05 deposit. but could I do that to someone, make them count that many can's. lol

    • @dugel3
      @dugel3 Рік тому

      Nope. They have to be from the area and have printed on them that there is a deposit for them in the state you are going to turn them in. Otherwise it's illegal. It's something like a $25,000 fine otherwise

    I hardly even consider saving cans. It's just not worth it, 127lbs gets you less than $60. Too bad not all states have bottle redemption

    • @Okiescrapper
      @Okiescrapper  Рік тому +1

      with bottle redemption you pay for the bottle or can upfront so all you are doing is getting your money back, it is a good idea to keep the litter down, and I think more states will start doing it someday

    • @mountdesertrock
      @mountdesertrock Рік тому +1

      Here in Maine we have a .05 redemption on cans and plastic drink bottles, and .15 on glass/plastic liquor bottles, and the amount of them that get thrown away into the regular trash is insane. @@Okiescrapper

    • @Okiescrapper
      @Okiescrapper  Рік тому +1

      @mountdesertrock as a kid in Washington State they had a deposit on soda bottles, and we would find what we could and take them to the store for pocket change, candy money, I would be good if they did that in every state, may cut down on the amount going into the landfill.

    • @mountdesertrock
      @mountdesertrock Рік тому

      they do take up a lot of room for the weight, I need to build a 7 foot tall cage on a trailer, that would make it easier, but I would need a ladder or platform to get to the top to dump them in
