This had been a huge help!! I thought my glaze was too thick but using your measurements I found I am at 1.42 specific gravity. I am going to mix 100 more grams of glaze and add more until I get to 1.45

There's a chance your glaze needs to be deflocculated if it's thick at 1.42

That’s great. My biggest issue, however, is with knowing what sg to aim for … I havent been able to find guidance around it for beginners yet :(

Enjoyed the video. Have been doing specific gravity checks of my glazes for some time. Like seeing what others do. I measure mine out to 100 ml and weigh that in grams, no dividing needed. But I like your method too since it doesn't require being spot on with the measurement to 100 ml. p.s. also enjoyed your voice/accent. :-)

Yes, I started out trying to get 100mL on the nose but it was too hard and messy pouring back and forth so now I just do the math. It's cleaner :)
