    Very nice complete and efficient test, thank you very much !
    He convinced me to choose this model (for mountainering) : light, efficient and inexpensive with a standard Li-ion battery.
    The programming is very convenient to remove the voice and set the auto-lock to avoid disrupting everything.

    Happy birthday for tomorrow : wow ! one year for each original channel on CB. I was so excited by the self-cloning radio function but if it's only got the existing analogue PMR, it seems unusually unnecessary. Unless you pick from the 16 pmr channels and give them your own channel number ... Doris the engineering manager might only need four operating channels on each radio. To avoid interference from the nearby Card of Graphics shop, she chooses four interference-free frequencies but designates them as channels 1, 2, 3 & 4. Nice wee radio ; superb video as ever. Thank you.

    Nice radio but it has a slight issue with CTCSS codes not matching other radios like Motorola PMR 446. CTCSS 1 remains the same but 2 becomes 3, 3 becomes 4 etc on the Retevis. This is due to a usualy unused 69.3 Hz being counted in by Retevis. The programming lead was included with my radios but although the main programming softwzre was OK the driver I used was the CH340 driver from the sparkfun.com website.

    Just a point have you tried the new retevis rt667 pmr 446 radio this is 16 ch with on board 3500mah battery this is a well made pmr 446 radio which has the quality and feel of a expensive model I got these and found that they out perform some of our expensive models of pmr 446 radios this I strongly beleive will do excellent in one of you're field range tests and are only £19.95 for each radio they also have a grub screw at the base of the stock antannae which when removed reveals a female mini sma I put a nagoya na771 on mine and the range was superb.

  • @James101

    Hi thank you for the video. Do you know if the vibration function has to be turned on every time you power on the radio as my ones only vibrate until you turn off. Also I can't figure out how to turn off the ludicrously loud voice. Any help would be appreciated as at the moment the radio s are far too loud when changing chanel. Thank you.

    normaly people buy two of the same radios and use them, in my book it would be more appropriate to use two of them for a test.

    Hi, I have a set of the US version RB15. I would like to be able to transform them into the RB615. Any chance you could send a copy of the firmware. Overwrite it into my US version and it should be all set for our narrowboat adventure next year. Hope you are having a good day and enjoying the fall weather. Cheers, Thomas

    Hi , thank you for the review. I do have a question: I have set the ringtone through the menu (CA). However when somebody is trying to contact me I don't hear anything. I can only see the green light flashing shortly ,but that's it. Contacted the retevis service desk, but their support was nothing in fact... Are you able to give me a tip to solve this? Thank you in advance. Br, Renė

      @@knoxieman Hi. Yes we both use the retevis rb615 on channel 16 ( this was the default channel when I bought them ) I now found out long pressing the left bottom button creates a signal at the other radio. This as I Installed the software which shows the basic settings of each button. So I have a kind of signal now, but I was under the assumption the ringtone I chose should be ringing the moment I am contacted or vice versa. Don't want to watste to much of your time as you of course only tested the range and overall quality of this device. Br, Rene

    Hi, could you please tell me where you found the information to program these? The download on the Retevis site doesn’t seem to work for me. Also I seem to be getting a lot of hissing and background noise on mine, even at a very short distance. Sorry for all the questions, I’m a two way radio novice 🥴 TIA Pete.

      Hello there, I contacted the seller for the software, I also get a fair bit of noise on mine as well, that being said over water I've had 5 miles radio to radio, I love the size of them, proper top pocket radios.

    hello, I must select between BAOFENG BF-T1 or Retevis RB15, which one do you recommend to buy it

    • @NicholasAarons
      @NicholasAarons 2 роки тому

      I’ve got both But you need a Ham Licence for the Baofeng BF-T1, Where as The Retevis RB615 Is a PMR446 Radio & Is License Free. I hope this helps. 73. Kind Regards Nicholas.
