Thanks! Using this as my DC counter for Dead By Daylight 😆
Thank you so much I have sat here for the past few hours trying to figure this out AHHH FINALLY!
Thank you for you’re videos they have been really really helpful for me as I am new to being a mod
Thank you so much, this is very helpful!
Thanks! Really came in handy!
So helpful thank you so much !
great video ty so much for this
Thank you dude ❤️.
Hello ... How can I create a command for the audience so that they can call up the counter? ! dead - answer Name died x times ... thank you very much
You're awesome! quick question How do we just get the count of where it is at currently?
Ty very much i had a faithful nightbot manager whom went against me and deleted all my nightbot commands so ur video helped me regain my death count much love ❤️ ❤️ ❤️ brother
ty i got it working!
fire video!
Hi! So, I think the answer to your question is that you are actually setting $count to -1 here. When you call the first instance again of $count it increments, so if you want to increment to 0, set to -1, if you want to increment to 1, set to 0 :)
Got the count and reset working no issue, only thing I'm suck on and others I see are is trying to get it to show the count with out using it
Nick anyway put stuff in as list when making commands as MOD??
Is there a command, to see the status ?
@LoadedWombat is there a way to add a command to show the count total in the live chat. ?
i cant find anywhere XD
what if i dont want it to have that exclamation point on chat so my chat can actually add count on it? like them saying nice shot, or nice try will be counted by the bot?
thanks for the video. Do you know how to add a command that will let others pull up (in this case) the deaths without changing the death #.
For instance. You create a death counter yet someone joins the stream 2 hours in and just wants to see how many deaths the streamers on. If its set to mod only the user can't bring it up but if the moderator does it then 1 more death gets counted.
anyways thanks for the vid.
you got an answer yet?
For everyone trying to do the death aka counter reset command settup.... you have to put that whole string into your chat instead of trying to put it into the nightbot itself for it to work. Well at least thats what happened with mine
wasn't working for me lol.
Hello LoadedWombat,
your content is amaizing, I wonder why you're underrated.
I just tried to join your discord, but it say 'invalid invitation'.
Another thing is, Do you know any way to stream privately on Twitch? Because, I'm just learning this moderation thing & I don't want to do a public Live without any content, like streaming in 1 device and moding in another.
I don't think u can but if u stream just chatting then there is a low chance of someone finding you
I'm testing my commands in the stream manager without going live, hope this helps
i did exacly what you did and keeps changing the command so dont know what i am doing wrong
how do i make it choose a random number?
Is there a way to add a specific number through this command? Like if I wanted to add 34 (as an example) I could put in something like !deathadd 34?
yes. i spent hours trying to search the internet for an answer. eventually i figured it out.
To start:
This is the command your chat will use to view how many times you have died. for example !deaths.
!addcom !death Amount of deaths:
This is the commands that you and your mods can use to add a custom number to the death counter.
!addcom !d -a=!commands edit !death Amount of deaths: $(query)
now if you mods type !d 54 the !death command will say "Amount of deaths: 54"
obviously the phrase "amount of deaths" can be changed to something else. the command !d can also be a different letter or word. the command !deathadd that you mentioned above would work.
edit: Also make sure you set the userlevel to moderator for the !d command. you can do this in nightbot dashboard and in chat with a specific command but i cant remember it off the top of my head.
running into an issue with the reset command.. it stays at 1 and won't go back to 0. Any suggestions?
!editcom !commandyoucreated -a=!commandyouwanttoreset \-c=0
Ex. !editcom !resetdeath -a=!death \-c=0
Is there some way I can make it so a user can only use it once? Say I want to make a petition so people can do !sign but I don’t want them to do it multiple times…. Can I make it do there is a limit per user?
Also is there a way I can remove the counter but only by one? And not completely reset it
whoa
reset not working?
Hello it is cjuii I can’t talk in chat Becuase I can’t verfiy my account
hmmm my friend uses stream elements and this command isn't resetting the count
This vid is for nightbot :)
Hi hello how are you
the reset doesn't work...
so my reset command isn't working...and I followed the same steps any advice?
I was having the same problem until I changed the \-c=-1 at the end to \-c=0 . Now it's working for me. I hope this helps!
@@LittleAmazon thats what I did too! yeah thank you though
My pleasure!!
too bad he didnt tell up how to see the deaths without adding a death
This sounds like absolute gibberish
Does anyone know of a way to have nightbot, or any other chat bot for that matter, to remember things? Basically a friend of mine that I mod for has a casino theme for their twitch and i have been trying to work out how to add games for chat to engage with while chatting such as '21'. for anyone who doesnt know what 21 is, you start off with two cards and have to get as close to 21 as possible. usually you bet against the dealer but for ease i was just planning on having it so that the viewer had to try and get 21 or go bust. Initially i thought about having a command (!hitme) trigger another command to have it so that they'd get a card and the command that gave them the number would automatically trigger the same command, giving them another number. There are various issues with this, but the main one is that i don't believe that chatbots can remember things like numbers so that even if i had it as them being able to have an alternate command to give them another number, the bot would not remember whatever they were already on. EXAMPLE: so the viewer would type in something like '!21' and the bot would spit out a number from 1-13 (1 through to king to keep it simple), then the viewer would type !hitme to get another number bumping them closer to 21. however, the two numbers theyd be given initially wont be remembered by the bot so the only way i can think of would be to have a mod oversee it all, which in chats that isnt always possible. If anyone knows a way of sorting this you'd be helping me LOADS!
