Just ordered mine yesterday.
The '775' was the 1st iteration of the new-gen Turtle released in 2015. Now a truly iconic Seiko model in it's own right!
I have the PADI version and it really grows on me. The cushion / pillow case is just superb. A solid watch with reassuring heft.

Enjoyed the review; thanks for sharing. I’ve got the PADI version of this watch which I absolutely love. However, I really like this black and gold model. As you say, it wears exceptionally well for a large watch. I’ve got relatively slim wrist and I can wear this comfortably! Not a big fan of the bracelet.......changed mine to the Seiko silicon strap. Will look forward to your review of the OP 39mm......gorgeous dial!!

Love mine,been solid & reliable. I've changed my insert to ceramic (£30ish, eBay) accuracy is around one and a half minutes per week,which is totally acceptable for me. Good unboxing, Cheers 👍👍
Thanks, I was looking at different bezels the other day, lots of cool options out there!
Just Watch I only changed the insert- be warned,my local watch shop couldn't remove the bezel to replace it with the stainless coin edge I bought to replace it with- at least I didn't feel such a failure after failing myself. Good luck,& thanks 👍
inkitatus1. Sir 1.m minutes is not O. K. Per week. If you are happy, that's fine. Have yours regulated. Mine is Max 2 sec a week, and that is unregulated straight out of the box. Great watch though... Cheers.
Mine is built like a tank. The accuracy of mine over the past month has been + or -- 2 seconds straight out of the box. I know it's hard to believe, but I can only share my experience. Maybe i've been very lucky, who knows. If it is slow by 2 seconds I lay it flat crown up, next morning when I wake up it is spot on to the second. Eat your heart out Rolex and Omega.
That's incredible. I have this same model and the accuracy is - 30 seconds per day. Just horrible, but I love it anyway.
The crown is much nicer than an SKX. I love the feeling of the manual wind - smooth and very satisfying. I'm a big fan of the gilt dial, but not the gold bezel. I also found the bezel to be very stiff, and the bezel slippery. I've countered that with an aftermarket coin edge bezel and a maroon-colored bezel insert. Really gives it a Tudor Black Bay heritage feel.
For the bracelet - I am not a fan of stamped clasps, but I solved that with a strapcode aftermarket model.
In summary, a great watch, and any grievances can be fixed up with some mods. Love my modded turtle.

Enjoyable review. Many Seiko enthusiast's compare this version to the 6309, but it is closer to the 6306. The 6306 had a hacking feature and a jewel count closer to this version. The 6309 was non-hacking with a lower jewel count. Keep up the great review's.

I would absolutely love this model. A friend of mine has one on an olive nato, and it looks so smart casual. Really eye-catching. But I have a 6 and half inch wrist and I think its just too big for me. Am kinda gutted because i'd love one. Any opinions? Thanks guys!
See if you can borrow your friends for an hour to wear, they are short in length and don't wear big at all, my wrist is just a hair under 7 inches and it fits me with no issue. Thanks for watching!

The thought had crossed my mind. The baby turtle has i tiny hint of modernity that the turtle doesn't. And some how it doesn't have the same charm the turtle does. Maybe I'll get used to it. I'd love the gold indices one though. To contrast with my SKX. I'm being very particular. Thanks for your suggestion.
I'd like to try one out. I've seen people with a 6" wrist wearing a regular Turtle without issue, I'd say give one a try, if you don't like the fit you can always flip it on eBay.

Just Watch I use to have 6.5 but today I found out I have 7inch wrists...so I was nervous about buying this watch but I just felt the need to buy a big watch and I looked at the Bulova moon watch and..not a lot of bang for the buck but still good
