- Questions
0:46 - Why did Triton not keep sponsoring the channel? - @craigbennett8053
2:16 - Now that Triton is no longer a sponsor, are you planning on or interested in trying some alternative best in class tools to possibly replace those? - @Taylorisafarmeryo
3:10 - When are we going to get another fine furniture build ? - @TxStang
3:20 - What brand is your 20 inch planer ? - @dennisferraro9829
3:45 - How does your planer work after the motor upgrade? - @Lucasartwork
4:11 - When you were thicknessing the legs for the Kitchen Island end thing, you mentioned the thicknesser was rolling the piece, can you expand on what happened, what caused it, & how you corrected it? - @GreenHair81
5:48 - Are you working with a media manager/editor? Who is creating the new stickers/branding etc. Good stuff. Curious. - @TheRealBrockRoberts
8:34 - How do we get more Batman style transitions in videos? - @GreenHair81
8:40 - When are you going to work on the Bridgeport and that massive bandsaw? @10FingersWoodworking When are you going to get your mill put back together?? @InquisitiveSearcher Bridgeport Mill??? @jimmysquires5093
11:50 - What's up with that giant bandsaw (not the mill)? @PeterBrews
15:48 - Don't know if it's interesting but could you talk about your approach to "routine maintenance" for your wide assortment of equipment. The mill, your Vermeer (did I spell that right), telehandler, shop tools, that table thingy (CNCS?) - what did I miss LOL. Enjoy your content very much, thank you for all of it. @mrpesky163
-18:11 - I'm interested in what decisions take place before renting vs buying a major piece of equipment (mini-skid, telahandler, forklift)? Do you have plans to buy any other large machinery? @OldsmobileCutlass1969Va
21:21 - Is there anything left to finish on the barn besides the outside shed roof/porch? @craigbennett8053
21:05 - Hey Matt, I'm curious how your approach to nail+glue your flooring held up over the dry winter months? was it worth it, or did the wood still do its thing and manage to create some gaps? @benm5678
22:55 - are you going to have inset doors and drawers on your cabinets? @billedis5482
23:37 - In the good old days people used to build kitchen cabinet boxes with with all of: rabbets/dadoes/glue/screws. I know a lot of people now use pocket screws for all of it. (I find pocket screws annoying because they tend to move 1/32 as I drive them home - probably my technique). What is your recipe for building quality cabinets that is not ridiculously time-consuming? @BrianGlendenning

Matt-- As an ex Constructcion Manager (U.K) (69yrs old); its easy to show anybody how too do anything correct. People must recognise that you have too support your family . Keep up the lovely finish work.
I've really enjoyed watching your content since I started years ago, and seeing you not just take on the work with your renovation but explain your thoughts and different approaches is as informative as it is enjoyable to watch!
I'm glad you did another one of these videos again, it's especially nice to see updates on older projects
Matt, I have also enjoyed this update, as well !! I've been following you for a couple years and have enjoyed your various projects. I also enjoy seeing your family and look forward to seeing you in your video clips in the future !!
18:14 Matt, thank you so much for responding to my question! It was a great response! I really liked your idea to do a Q&A type video.
Face frames first. Dominos for alignment. No dados. I'm definitely going to try this on the next project!
Thanks to Brad and Matt for the outstanding productions. I would like to ask about how the arboretum plans are coming along. What other species do you not have yet and would like to add? I think a Gingko tree would be an awesome addition. We have had one that was transplanted four times, the last being about 15ft tall 20 years ago. Now it is almost 70ft tall.
Thanks for the answers. Many I didn't even know I had a question about! The answers were interesting and informative.
Face frames and inset doors is "THE" way to show off your cabinetry and furniture skills.
Keep up the beautiful work.
Thank you Brad!
On the Mill, I would strongly suggest restoring it back to the original state. Even if you don’t need that level of accuracy. The machine was designed to hold that level of accuracy. If you sell it later then the new owner will want it!
So my opinion is to restore it back to OEM!
Sponsors can be a blight on the creative landscape and frequently its as if the content creator has sold his soul, with the energy drink, mattress, apparel and red tools, taking centre stage. I liked the mix you had with Triton - it was about you, how you created and the tools you used, dang if there was no power your skill-set would turn to hand tools. Alas there is also the financial aspect and the loss of a regular income.
Good Morning Cremona Family.
Thanks for the update Matt. Enjoy the Ride 🌊🤙
Thanks for the update and run-through
. Always enjoy your content.
Matt, can you do a video on your property? I would be interested in seeing how the trees you planted on the new property are doing.
Love your work, wish you would cover the “Northern Woods Exhibition “ again ,those folks are very talented as are you. Off subject I know . Thanks
Awesome job on everything Matt! It’s really amazing the amount of work you get done. Good luck with the rest of your remodel. I’m sure you will be glad when that gets completed, and the quality is top notch. I’m trying to finish mine too. Thanks for including me in your Q&A!
I'm building new doors for my kitchen cabinets and want to paint them white. Could you explain your work process and material used to paint your cabinets? The house build series is just fantastic viewing to a DIY guy for sure. THANK YOU!
All I can say is WOW!...Enjoyed this episode.
This was a nice visit with many questions answered…thanks Matt !
The only reason to get up before noon on a Saturday... a new Matt Cremona video!
I find my fun projects always get no attention unless I schedule it. Like spending just one day per month on the Bridgeport would be huge over time! Just a thought.
My 1st Q & A. It was fun. I really do enjoy your videos Matt. be well my friend !
So the Bridgeport fixed and you can resurface the bandsaw table!
I really like the "it's a barn thing" shirt
Hi Matt, loving your kitchen renovation series. Great job Brad.
I'm honored both of my Questions got answered.
Thanks for answering my question on the brand of your planer .
Very much enjoy watching your channel 👍
Varying degrees of quality, I’m going to use that one 😂 I love this kind of more chatty video. Thanks!
Thanks for the behind the scenes Q and A. Nice change of pace.
So funny, just wondering about Triton yesterday when I was planing with my giant hand planer! Good to see ya again Matt n family!
Lake Havasu 🌞 Az
So I think we need to thanks Brad more often? :) great video as always!
Matt: As always you are entertaining and informative. Great work.
Really enjoyed this one, Matt.
Matt, Ineresting choice of common questions. I myself liked the way you explained making the cabinets. Thanks.
Great Q/A. Thanks for doing this.
I get it. Sometimes our love or things are gone. I guess our real interests are gone.
Thanks Brad! Going to buy merch. I need a Slabmaster shirt!
Happy Spring Equinox Day.
Thank you for videos.
Best of luck to you sir. Stay safe and healthy.
Enjoyed the Q&A and looking forward to the next.
In building your kitchen cabinets and addition trim you referred to the architects drawings which had a lot of detail. I’m curious whether you pre design the details of your other furniture projects in the same manner. I start with a well thought out concept, but finish details are usually “ad hoc”.
Thank you.
It's going to be so beautiful !! I LOVE YOU ALL !!! 🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰
Good video thanks
Took inspiration from your Bridgeport videos and that played a big part of adding a VFD when I got mine… then a DRO… then a metal lathe. When are you getting a metal lathe? The place is really coming together nicely, thanks for the video.
Thanks for your great explanations. Your a great teacher.
Tape over the labels. No dough ,no show.
Thank you !❤
Thank you for sharing!! ❤❤❤❤❤
Well done Brad 🫶👋👋👋👋
Thank you for this.
OMG I was just watching a kitchen video wondering about Bridgeport and Triton
Great Q and A Matt! Thank you.
Hey Matt!
👋👋👋
Keith Rucker makes YT videos of that very process
Much better bedhead! Still not as good as the old days, though.
Nice, and informative, Q&A session.
Good episode
All the decals and designs on your machinery and shirts seem to pop up over night. I’ve been feeling like Rip Van Winkle thinking that I slept for twenty years missed a lot. Thanks for the explanation.
THANKS FOR THE VIDEO
Great vodeo, thanks.
oh wow i had no idea we have the same planer lol. I have the G1033x... its an awesome machine
Might have been easier to glue leveling strips/blocks on adjacent sides to prevent any roll and allow you to hog maximum amount of wood speeding up process?? Ray
At this point I wouldn’t be surprised if the same thing happened
your planer would see this as a rectangular stock with voids between the strips glued to each side and there would be no tendency to roll or turn, thanks for responding@@mcremona
Matt inset soft close hardware that I saw took up opening size because of the hardware size.
Castle pocket screw system is a low enough angle that there is no shift.
The alignment issue with pocket screws is specific to the Kreg system where the bottom of the hole isn't parallel to the butt join. The old Porter Cable and current Castle machines rout a sweeping groove where the end of the pocket is cut much more square to the mating surface. This way you get far less creep when the screw is driven and seated. Worth picking up an old Porter Cable 552 machine if it pops up on CL. ua-cam.com/video/MgH3U7WxR-c/v-deo.html
Go Brad!
Make a video about how you make the stickers.
Probably got some new young people in marketing with some (great) ideas.
❤
Were you aware that David J Marks has a web sight now? I really enjoyed his show back when.
For the skid steer sprockets, it would be cool if you had a milling machine so you could make your own....
If only
Awesome video! When are you going to get a Sherman tank? 😂
My centuria bandsaw table much worse that yours .I straightened out with heavy duty clamps and blocks.
Heyyyy
Having equipment at the ready is somewhat of a safety factor. it helps keep you from doing something stupid. When you think going to the rental yard is such a bother.
When you use the equipment periodically plan "B" doesn't make sense. It is an investment that will still have some value in the future.
👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
I dind't have cremona down as Irish, yet i see baloons
Lindsay is
😃👍🏼👊🏼
OK, so why did Lindsey name her Pancake?
I hate to say it that Grizzly might mark you off their list for sponsorship. The Green to Red color might have done it.
Having lived your life of wood butchering a generation ahead of you, and having watched your channel for a few years, I can see that you will never have the time, nor do you have the right machinery to restore that Bridgeport Mill.
If I were you, I’d take it to Tim at Bessemer Machinery or to H & W Machine works and just pay them to fully restore it to as new condition.
Pay the $ and it arrives back on the truck for you to unload and install ready to use.
You would do better with your time doing your wood work & making good $ & use those dollars to pay the specialists with the right equipment, knowledge, skills & spare / new parts to fix it up better than new.
Get the power draw bar fitted, the air mister, power feeds on X,Y & Z axis, and 3 Axis DRO - and instead of wasting years of your spare time fixing something - you could better use that time making something else you need with the Bridgeport.
Thats what I would do.
Heck, take out a credit card to pay for the work & pay it off over time.
Como a maioria dos vídeos de fala inglesa, falam demais😅, fica muito cansativo!
Now you're not shilling that toy level garbage, are you courting any real brands? #sickburn /s 😘
Wouldn't it also ba feasible to glue the same size wood strip to the top of the opposite side of the plank before running it through the planer? Ahhhhhhhsooooooo
Yes, that would also work
Seeing this video makes me think YOUs headed in the direction of Our Wyoming Life.
What happened to your hair? Started using relaxer/straightener on your mop top? Stop that, the mop top is better.
Thank you Brad!
