Good afternoon Christina, what a lovely project for the animals in the home. Gabriel is a beautiful dog, he is of excellent stock and I am sure he will grow into a very handsome specimen!! The weather was not too grand the day you ventured out to collect Gabriel, but it was so worth the early rise and the travel expedition. Ryan is so happy with Gabriel and the dog has really taken to him as well. Lying at his feet having a snooze shows he trusts his new owner fully. The basket turned out so beautiful as all the other previous projects. You will be one big happy family. Our winter season has also started, usually the skies are as blue as can be with no clouds, alas, lately the clouds just keep rolling in from the Eastern side of the country, a strong old wind which is most unpleasant. I think it is time to investigate what is in the knitting containers and get myself sorted out as well. Thank you for sharing the journey with us, it was a lot of excitement and looking forward to the next, cannot imagine what you will share with us. Thank you so much. I’ve mastered my first cat basket. I don’t have cats but my granddaughter has one and getting settled in their new home after relocating back to NY. She’ll love it. I know it’s not perfect but she’ll never know. I was initially attracted to your video for the story of your new puppy Gabriel. Congratulations, been there and it really is a godsend when they come home again. I started finger knitting throws during COVID, but have never attempted basket making. Thank you, practice will make it perfect someday. I’ll be watching more I’m sure your video made this so much easier to follow along.

Thank you so much for this tutorial, especially the new puppy. I taught myself how to knit about 35 years ago because I am a lefty, but crocheting is another thing, still practicing! My daughter has a standard poodle also and he is just 13, and I babysit him all the time, he loves doggie play but is only three days a week now that he is getting older. He is never left alone so his Ma is the only one that can stay with him, and I just love him sooo much. He is so jealous when I kiss my son-in-law good bye and my granddaughter also. I am so thankful for your tutorials. My husband passed about 18 mos ago & I needed something to help channel my grief. A friend from work watches your tutorials & shared them with me. I have two large furbabies 60-80lbs. What measurements/style (basket or mat would you recommend I use? Please include how many bundles of chenille chunky yarns I would need for whatever you recommend. Thank you again.

The yarn washes well in the machine and I just lay them out to dry. This pattern applies to all yarn 🧶 sizes so I plan to practice more with it and make some fun storage baskets and pot holders for the outside of the pot itself! Thank you so much for this tutorial, especially the new puppy. I taught myself how to knit about 35 years ago because I am a lefty, but crocheting is another thing, still practicing! My daughter has a standard poodle also and he is just 13, and I babysit him all the time, he loves doggie play but is only three days a week now that he is getting older. He is never left alone so his Ma is the only one that can stay with him, and I just love him sooo much. He is so jealous when I kiss my son-in-law good bye and my granddaughter also. I am so thankful for your tutorials. My husband passed about 18 mos ago & I needed something to help channel my grief. A friend from work watches your tutorials & shared them with me. I have two large furbabies 60-80lbs. What measurements/style (basket or mat would you recommend I use? Please include how many bundles of chenille chunky yarns I would need for whatever you recommend. Thank you again.

I recommend a larger size pet bed ( 3 Skien’s) of chenille yarn 🧶 for each of your dogs.
The yarn washes well in the machine and I just lay them out to dry.

This pattern applies to all yarn 🧶 sizes so I plan to practice more with it and make some fun storage baskets and pot holders for the outside of the pot itself! But I will use a jersey yarn 🧶 or a acrylic yarn.
