- What is up and welcome back everybody in this video I'm going to show you how I use seafoam inside of the engine to clean the upper valve train on your m103 engine using a few easy steps. The car that I am using is for demonstration purposes only unfortunately this motor needs a few new parts due to a rod knock prior to using the seafoam so figured it was a great opportunity to show you how I use this little magic in a bottle.
Really happy I found your channel, been working on this 1992 300e 4matic I picked up
She needs A LOT of work, so tips/tricks like these go a long way.
I bought a neglected 87 300e with 200k miles. Threw seafoam in and it worked wonders. More powerful and smoother idle. Also quieted up the top end. Wonderful stuff. The car had definitely missed a few oil changes. Mine was added directly to the crankcase
Oh nice! Yea man this stuff is magic in a bottle!
Benz heaven
Always learning something new!! Nice powerful little bottle!!
Helpful Video. This Trick really woke up my old engine. Seafoam works great
Oh yea the best stuff ever for sure 👌
You keep referring to it as "this guy".. whats the actual cable line where you pour the seafoam into called?
he pulled the vacuum hose off the brake booster going to the intake manifold, any vacuum hos will work (just make sure it going to the intake), an other option is to spray or pour it into the throttle body, or carburetor (dont add it too fast or you'll hydrolock the engine)
@@countryfella94 thank you very much for that I'm just now seeing this msg your absolutely correct I don't like to poor into the throttle body personally because you might go to fast and the brake booster hose that is on the intake manifold is the perfect size to poor the seafoam at a good pace and most people have someone to help them so you won't have to take off the air box and it's right up front to make it easy to get to!
This is like magic in a bottle I love that stuff
Agreed
gonna try this soon brother.
Oh yea it's a great tuneup in a can for sure I use it all the time and it looks like most of the chat does as well 😅
what is that knock sound that the engine have? a lifter?
I was just showing how I use seafoam unfortunately this motor has a rod knock it's in the middle of a engine swap right now 😞
Bad maintenance?
Swap to another m103 or m104?
