Aljo.just screwed the UFC over & pulled put on his fight, but he's sparing & trying BJJ with mighty mouse??? Unless this interview was done 3 weeks ago....or he pussed out......
@@SouthwestUberlady It's so clear this was recorded before the injury lol. Aljo didn't mention the injury a single time lol. Also he can't help getting an injury in training, it's part of the game
@@yomamaisgaming Sean had broken ribs and couldn’t grapple and agreeed to the fight aljo agreed to the fight injured to but cries about it when he had a choice
In a world full of negativity and toxicity, Merab's and Aljo's relationship is a breath of fresh air. It is so special to watch and runs deep. These men are bonded by an intense love and genuine affection. So rare and we need more of this in this society. They have spent countless hours in the gym sweating in eachother. They cry together. They go to war together. And now they can finally and passionately embrace and rejoice together as world champions.
As a lifelong American Wrestler (former D1 All-American), I love that grappling is dominating the UFC. Nothing is more alpha than being on top of another man, holding him down against his will, and pounding him into submission.
Crazy thing is his body had muscle memory of sorts from all his weight cuts to 135 ,his body was like huh because the stress response wasnt as anticipated, always crazy how body reaponses can be when any stressor is added albeit mentally an pound wise physically
People don’t realize that Although aljo had quick turn around Sean o malley had broken ribs and couldn’t practice grappling before his aljo fight and said he went down he knew his ribs would mean he wasn’t going to be able to fight
Aljo had other injuries lingering from the Cejudo fight and couldn’t do a training camp at 100% either. O’Malley also has 10 months to prepare for a grappler (either Aljo or Cejudo). And that’s only the physical aspect, not even the mental aspect O’Malley knew that date was when he wanted to fight and was mentally focused and ready to get the belt then. Aljo was forced into a date he didn’t want and wasn’t as locked in as O’Malley. You could say that’s his fault and you wouldn’t be wrong, but it most likely would’ve been different had he gotten the fight when he wanted instead of when Sean wanted
@@jocoolshow Sean couldn’t grapple even though he trained for it prior the injury meant he couldn’t go to the ground so the 10 month prep didn’t matter in the grappling he broke his ribs and stopped and accepted he had to keep it standing and aljo shouldn’t have agreed to the fight it wasn’t forced he agreed after being pressure but he’s a grown man
Nothing lamer than a mf who will not give his opponent credit for beating him fair and square . O'Malley had no problem accepting all the money and accolades and knockouts but god forbid he takes one on the chin like a man . Bros a front runner
Aljo, dont cry about a schedule of fighting 2 or 3 tjmes a year and not being able to enjoy the fruits of your labor. Figthers are done in mid-30s on average. You have plenty of time to enjoy it.
Aljo has made some decent money but that's only because he made that champ money (which is chump change compared to sports). 3 month training camp where you can't eat what you want because you're trying to cut and make weight. It sucks because everyone else is making less money than they would at a Starbucks
You have to be mentally ready and *want* to get back in there. Without proper rest and time to sit back, not everyone is gonna want to just jump back in there. Especially when the weight cut is as draining as Aljo’s
Only just now tuned into one of the interviews but I'm not too much of an out-of-octogon watcher. But DJ seems like a genuine person. No facade. Very relatable. This was a very chill conversation and was fun to be reminded how "celebrities" are just regular people. I think it's more true of MMA fighters than other celebs.

Crazy to think that Schmitty hyped up this entire interview and was not invited on the pod. Poor Schmitt
