@@jjna26 About people complaining about a problem instead of looking for a solution. And many times they created the problem and curse the other for something they are responsible of.
After hearing all of Nightwish' music, I can't help but think that Tuomas should go down in history as one of the greatest composers of his time, and along with the rest of this group, as the greatest band of all times.
One of the reasons she got a bad rap was because of Dark Passion Play. Half the songs were written for Tarja and Annette did her best but didn't really fit the "feel" of them. Imaginaerium was the first album that was written exclusively with Annette's vocals in mind and god *damn* did Nightwish knock it out of the park.
Tarja will always be my favorite. But this song sung by Annette is probably in my top 3 nightwish songs. How lucky we are to have had 3 singers of such skill.

I feel her voice cuts through the instrumentals really well. Honestly she was the perfect singer for the two albums she was apart of. Made them really special.
THAT'S WHY her voice is so perfect for this album because she doesn't necessarily sound "Metal". Look at Tarja, she sounds like an Opera singer. I do not care for Floor's voice as it sounds very generic, and her voice is a dime a dozen. This Album could only have been sung by Anette and no one else.

All of the different singers had their own styles that came out in the band when they were present. Tarja had a powerful operatic voice which led to songs like Nemo and Wish I had an Angel. I had to shake my head when my dad came out to "rescue" me in the canoe. He'd tried that before one time when we lived by a lake instead and I got caught in the lee of an island. He flipped the canoe. This time he'd gotten it down though. I still didn't think he should've risked it. I was doing fine. Slow but steady, and it was really peaceful.

This song really is a lyrical masterpiece... However the album version are so well... digitalized. Regardless who sings it, be it Floor or Anette, the chorus completely pales to the live versions(Any singer). Anette did it with such a huge smile in her bright tone, Floor also does it with a huge amount of energy and a smile... but what really makes the chorus stand out is Marco's sheer power. I know that the album has a theme and much of Anette's sound are digitalized to fit that "style" and Marco's not allowed to sing from the top of his lungs due to him breaking peoples sound equipment... but... yeah I sort of feel it's pretty lacklusting after hearing it live five times.
