This is perfect timing! I’ve realised my biggest issue is that I’m subconsciously seeking validation from others, and my self esteem is tied up too much in how my interactions go with others

Great video. I’ve been following Owen for over 10 years, trained with him and I’ve gone to multiple tours. Now, in my 30’s, the largest jump I’ve had towards “groundedness” was when I gave myself to God. Hear me out. - God can solve all your grounding problems much more efficiently than you can via self development reframes. For example, when owen talks about co-dependence, trying to tell yourself “don’t be needy! Don’t be clingy!” doesn’t really get you far. But, if love is what you require, the love of your Father, Lord Jesus Christ, your creator, is all you really need to to feel whole. If you feel disconnect to God, repent and reconnect to him. If you’re independent and you’re too jaded to be vulnerable, because of the pain someone caused you, all you need to do is trust in your God to heal you and comfort you and your soul will be restored. - last point, if you want to be the “main character” to your movie, you don’t need to go around and force it and try awkwardly to be the center of attention, all you need to know is that God has bestowed upon you a REASON for living. A purpose. It’s easy to be the main character when you understand that God gave you a role to play. Lastly, it’s important to understand that all men and women are equal in the eyes of the Lord. It’s easy to assert yourself when you know you are all equal in the kingdom of heaven. Just because someone has more worldly possession, doesn’t mean they’re better than you. Stand up for what you believe in and who you are. You’re a child of God.

So did God create women the way they are? I grew up in the church and memorized the Bible and spent many summers evangelizing people. However when it comes to women if you follow biblical teachings of being kind, humble and putting her first over yourself and unselfishly giving , it doesn’t work. If you have been in the game , you know that.
What works is being indifferent, somewhat rude, putting yourself above her needs and have her seek your validation.
So if God created women this way, why would He instruct us to be essentially good beta males catering women and then she goes and screws some asshole behind your back?
I say this because I am the guy that all these married women and pastor’s wives wanted to cheat with. And their poor husbands working 24/7 proving for her and thinking he bagged a gem.

    • @boldmeditations

    • @dinodino1620
      @dinodino1620 2 роки тому +1

@Brian I didn't say being kind and humble was pathetic and weak. My point still stands that being generous, selfless, very giving and putting her needs above yours (which the BIble instructs you to do) will lead her to disrespect you and eventually her pussy can't get wet for you.
I have tested this with dozens of women of all races and religions ( most of these women were virgins before they married their husbands) and they all act the same.
Which is what led me to be redpilled. As a chirtsian, this is a big riddle and no clear answers and a major stumbling block for the advocacy of marriage for men,

  • @EverlastingConfidence

Great video Owen, being free from outcome is incredibly important in dating! A lot of guys associate neediness with a specific behavior but I see at as "being more invested in what other people think, than in what you personally feel". So as paradoxical as this may sound if you feel a lot of neediness due to past trauma and you are judging/shaming that part of yourself, your neediness will only intensify because what you resist only persists. So the key is to ALLOW yourself to feel needy because that is what you're experiencing in the moment.

Honestly, I am blessed to have found you and Julian right as I am graduating college and facing the "real" world. I am expecting a ton of rejection but your teachings, across the board , are incredibly applicable during this transition. (Adding value, drawing state from within, creating systems- including seeing your self as a system). Right now I am struggling with energy with respect to nutrition, and good choices for what to put in my body. I know you talk a little a about your nutrition and supplements, but a dedicated video would be transcendent.

Thanks, Owen. You are perceptive about the situation that I and many other men are in. I've been getting rejected by 100% of the females I've been interested in lately (for at least a year). I can talk to girls, have good conversations, be confident, express interest in them, ask them out, and even have what I am sure is a good connection with some of these girls. Then, they refuse to see me again, and they stop talking to me. The thing is, I get a little excited, I get enthusiastic when I meet a girl who is my type, if she's beautiful and shows evidence of being intelligent and having a good personality. Most girls aren't like this. So, when I see a girl who is really type, and when I talk to her and we have an intelligent conversation and common interests, and I'm attracted to her: I'm sorry, but I do get a positive feeling of enthusiasm about the girl; I want to hang out with her and do fun things with her, and I feel motivated to ask her out and really make this happen. It turns out that this positive enthusiasm that I feel is not perceived by the girl as it is in my mind. Rather she perceives it as something very different and negative, something that makes me become very unattractive in her mind! This seems crazy, but I can't change anyone. Owen, I'm thinking about all of this, and I have some ideas about what I can do better. Thank you for helping me become more aware of what is going on.

I'd like to volunteer a term, I refer to it as 'ports and adapters'. The outermost layers of a system are dependent on the core components. The outermost components are pluggable, they can be mixed and matched. Just like Owen mentioned, if an individual were to leave the room, the show continues as normal.
Why can components be mixed and matched? Because, they implement a standard interface. If you've used one electrical outlet, you have used them all. When traveling internationally, you might need an adapter, which completes the phrase, 'ports and adapters'
The core, is not thoroughly acquainted with the outermost layers. The core is loosely coupled to its outer components. This means that the dependency is formed against the flow of control. An example of dependencies that are formed inappropriately, is when we say "the tail is wagging the dog".
Core elements are not perturbed when outer elements are changed wildly. The core element sits at a very high level of abstraction, it does not care about the details.
Consider some of the literal components of your support system, house, car, friends, refrigerator etc. You depend on the abstract version of those things, and not so much the actual implementation. You are dependent on the car interface, the ability to drive a vehicle somewhere. Does it matter which vehicle? Vehicles can be replaced, so long as they implement the 'driveable' interface.

3:35 As long as you have some outcome or desire in mind you can't be your full self. It´s just like in quantum physics, the act of observation changes the behaviour.

The louder, sassier and more exposed you need to be, the less elegant, charismatic and grounded women tend to be. Releasing the need to proof oneself is life changing 🎉

Right up my alley, I am totally into the spiritual zen stuff but went a bit overboard with it so there is always some disconnection "he's so spiritual" "he's not always nice", anyway was always telling myself I don't need a relationship I know the ultimate truth or Self or God or Energy I am it even (not as a person don't worry) but still seem to have this neediness, still act needy around and with women I really like. Guess what want to say to most guys don't focus to much on the physical and if your spiritual don't focus to much on that. But mostly wow I loved those DVDs Owen and great to "accidentally" find you again.

It’s so crucial being grounded. This is something I’ve known for years, but still I forget to do it from time to time. Just 3 days ago I had a date. When she met me there, I realized she’s significantly hotter in real life than on pictures. Somehow that made me a little dumber, and I found out that she had a pretty strong frame and her walls were up high, so I just fumbled it. Not like “oh my god, that’s the most disastrous game I’ve ever seen”, as I have been in the game for years, and can sort of manage my emotions and words, but damn .. I was off center. Was too reactive to what she was saying. Tried to filter my words or articulate my sentences to not offend her. And I didn’t even realize it while it was happening. Damn. Needless to say, there won’t be a second date. But it sure does suck when you make a mistake like that when you already learned that you shouldn’t.
