This talk was great on so many levels. Thank you for being you. For the life changing advices and inspirational videos over the years. For speaking the truth. You're one of the few people I know that resonate with me on a intuitive level.
Many so called authorities didn't speak the truth last years. Here in my country people couldn't even go to Memorial Day gatherings and weren't allowed to celebrate Freedom Day (!).

he is wrong and the way he has put it is vague and a misconception seems to be forming.
What everyone here seems to be perceiving as thinking creates cortisol is not the real act of thinking.
The thing which is assumed as thinking here by people and this guy are the random thoughts which are being shot from the emotional self from its memory in relation to something linking which creates cortisol actually. The distracted memories of the emotional self.
Our emotional self is made up of memories and impressions as thoughts since childhood uptil now saved with emotions.
The true act of thinking is deliberate. Its not on autopilot as memory of the self.
It is calm and laser focused without any intervention of emotions.
True act of thinking is focused logical mind working with different methods of thinking such as the 5 'W' on what, when, where how, why of a subject.
other methods of thinking are case studies logical mind does by keeping reference point for comparison and finding the difference between subjects and variables to find the true value as an answer.
Other method of thinking is logical mind playing as if game from all the perspectives in a scenario from bird's eye view, or ant's eye view of the world, or a different perspective from any variable involved in the scene or playing both side of fence in the mind method.
Other method of thinking could be alegbra(assumption) let the value of x be something. then cross multiplication and moving x by dividing multiplying or adding subtracting it to a variable and in the end you find the true value of of x.
Other methods of deliberate thinking could be listed out as strategising, pattern building, modelling, organising, coordination etc basically all the functions of management our logical mind does.
so the true act of thinking does not create cortisol rather thoughts and memories of the emotional self on autopilot does that.
True act of thinking is methodical and uses numerous methods in the act of thinking deliberately calm and focused.
The list of methods of thinking is too long.
      How to think? Think again

I love the edge in recent videos. 2020 was where shit got real, and if you’re not locked in, you’re gonna get left behind. I’ve been following Owen for a number of years, and something I really dig about his content is his ability to seamlessly adapt his message to reality. He’s constantly reinventing himself in a way where he sharpens his content without regurgitating the same thing ad nauseum. He also navigates within the constraints of the platform by *saying more than he actually verbalizes.* People who are newer should take a minute to dig up his old stuff, and pay attention to how he’s been able to stay on brand and loyal to his message. Cool to see that consistency as societal norms have gradually suffocated out anything but the most banal, vanilla, and bizarre content. You’re going to have actively curate the quasi-metaverse that is being thrust upon you; if you aren’t actively pruning, someone else will be curating on your behalf. Don’t get left behind. 🤝

Still recovering from almost 2 decades of drinking, smoking, and gaming. Definitely hurts. After quitting booze 3 years ago, I then figured out 2 years after that that gaming and smoking were just as bad. Gaming might have been the worst because it kind of enabled the drinking and smoking to help keep me from realizing all the time I was wasting. Still kind of hurts to think, but getting better. Wish I had quit all 3 of those things a long time ago, but better late than never! Gaming's probably not so bad for some, but it's terrible for a guy like me with an addictive personality / ADHD. Although I think any kind of in-person social gaming including board games etc., is still really beneficial.

I think a lot of people who watch these videos (myself included sometimes) fall into the trap of entering a derp state while watching this content. It's so easy to passively consume content like this without actively engaging higher thought processes and critical thinking. Passively watching something like this may seem more productive than watching mindless reels on Instagram but if you're not actively engaging with the content, you're probably still in a derp state.

    Lessons learned
    Write things down.
Challenge yourself to think even if it's uncomfortable
Challenge yourself to do the hard thing instead of finding an easy way out.
    Normalcy bias
Don't be the deer in the headlights when the gang member get shot at the club
Take the identity of being the cause of your life
    Exercise agency.
Be the one pulling out the chair, saying the joke, initiating the handshake instead of waiting for others to do it.

Derping = Not confronting anything uncomfortable

  • @vikramdileepan2707
    @vikramdileepan2707 2 роки тому

    Epic. Thanks buddy.
You should do a talk about how every habit you take becomes second nature eventually .
Derping is the path of least resistance but even execution will become habitual and second nature eventually once it’s a pattern of behaviour. So it’s not all struggle all the time forever for the executor .
    Then comes scaling .
Then finally “how not to become a victim of your own success , aka , just because your execution towards a result is working now and you are getting results doesn’t mean someone isn’t working to disrupt your value engine with some innovation”

I think what we really need from men in our world is purposefulness that includes everybody. I think everyman should be trying to do two things constantly and with great zeal. 1 make himself better and better. 2 make as many other people become like himself as possible. It doesnt matter if he's good or bad. The purposefulness creates life. Besides, if his ways are wrong the universe will quickly correct him.
