I think what makes Simba ultimately the best king the Pride Lands ever had was that he eventually always came around to advice from others. His friends and family. His kids both had different ways of breaking traditions and while he was always against it at first, together Simba found life better for everyone when he gave things a try.
I recently watched the episode from the lion guard called 'the trail to Udugu' and watching how Kiara and Kion learned to get along and work together, and had a sibling bond, you can now see how Mufasa and Scar never really had that strong a sibling bond and shows that even Mufasa was flawed and although he loved his family and his kingdom, he never really thought much about his own brother. Which is kind of sad.
I think that was more on their parents though. Simba and Nala made it a point to raise them that way where as Mufasa and Scar's father seemed to never make their sibling relationship a priority@@BG-be8di
@@mollyshaj.3888 mm I also think that because of what happened with Scar and Mufasa, Simba and Nala decided to raise their children equally, without preferring one over the other and teaching them to work together
I wish his backstory with Scar could be expanded more, The "cobra venom turned him evil", wasn't really necessary, some websites said that he was named Askari like his ancestor of the same name.. But his real name was Taka, aknowledged before the Lion Guard.
@@christianndlovu-lh7vu Disney just tried to do their own re-take, it could have worked if the books didn't existed. Just remove the venom, expand it on their childhoods, and how Scar went from being nice to the one we saw in 1994. Like Syndrome from the Incredibles.
Yeah, no. The reason the cobra attacked him was because Scar was interested in a coup long before that point. Only after HIS life was in danger did Scar do the bare basics of his job, then expected accolades for doing said bare basics.
@@davidspring4003 he followed the "strange lion" instead of refusing from doing so. OG Scar was smart and manipulative, the recent Scar is really stupid, and the fact that he was driven to murder by his nickname.. 🙄 The book clearly said that his scar was an accident, not a random lion and cobra friend to join the "evil club"..
Mufasa maybe had his flaws (almost always I saw him as very perfect), only his relationship with his brother Scar, and he never thought of betrayal of him or keeping Simba away from him (knowing what he is like and the possible bad influence that could be on him), because I was really shocked when in The Lion Guard, Scar revealed how he got his scar and Mufasa just nicknamed him "Scar" without knowing about the cobra poison and the evil effect.. But he did govern well and was a good father who loved his family, and so I guess he never saw Scar's betrayal coming, he even trusted him when he told him that his son was in danger without suspecting him; although with his power as king he could have banished him according to is allowed that animals that threatened the Circle of Life be banished, even if they were lions
It was also from Scar’s tainted point of view. Mufasa probably nicknamed him scar as sign of respect for stopping a bad lion and the venom was already taking affect without mufasa realizing it. It’s also a bit different from the comics on how Scar got his scar. He got it in an accident and it made him tell his family to call him scar instead of Taka and it’s before he became part of the lion guard.
Ahadi was actually an outlander and Uru is the daughter of Mohatu from the pridelands. Ahadi had gold fur, a black mane, green eyes, same nose like scar, same head shape like scar, and more bigger like Mufasa. Uru had dark fur like scar, red eyes like Mufasa, head shape like Mufasa, and a line on her forehead.
Good = perfect, so no he was not a good king, you have low standards to what something equates to good. A good car runs perfect a good heart does not have heart attacks. A good plane does not sometimes fall from the skies it runs perfect. Face it He was a flawed king, if anything maybe you can say he was a decent king, but I would disagree he was prejudice and power hungry. He didn’t wanted to share the King status with scar, Lion prides are ran by 2-3 Male Lions not 1 king he wanted all the power and lioness poon to himself.
Issac I really do think you need to do a video about why Scar didn’t recruit Zira and the other outsiders and again I think the simplest answer is that Scar never cared about ANY of them. I mean despite Zira’s claims that she and Scar were close and that Kovu was his chosen heir I honestly think Scar didn’t give a 💩 about them. I mean remember that scene between and Sarabi where he outright said that he was perfectly okay with letting everyone starve to death and even before Simba returned even the hyenas were getting tired of Scar’s BS and let’s also not forget that in The Lion Guard Scar’s ghost had his plan to have Kion’s roar burn down the Pridelands all while Zira had her whole plot to have Kovu murder Simba and take over. And I also really never got why Zira was so “loyal” to Scar when she claims that the outlands have little food and less water when wasn’t it like that when Scar was King?
For me it was a great relief that Scar did not recruit Zira and her pack ahead of time, otherwise they would have won, and it is also very clear to me that Scar didn't even care about his allies: when he blamed his first allies inthe first movie, and it was even an absolute betrayal when he planned to set fire to Priderock with the clan of Janja inside because they were no longer of use to him.
Scar never cared about anyone but being a king. He wasn't prepared, even Banzai (i think), said that things were better when Mufasa was here. Shenzi told him that there were no food around. Nuka was considered to be the chosen one, but it wasn't under care, more because of legacy. Zira was too blinded by hatred to notice that Scar never put them in his heart, he was using her.
I think Zira was not only a loyal follower to Scar, but she was the mother to their son Nuka and daughter Vitani, BUT Scar had hand chosen Kovu to be his heir and took him in (and was raised by Zira to be like Scar and be king, despite Scar not being his father) I'm not 100% sure if Zira was his mother or she simply took Kovu in . Also after Simba left and Scar took over, everything was destroyed and the herds had moved on from the Pride Lands. It was most likely that the same thing happened when Zira and the Outlanders were banished
@@TheMovieMistress1993 First off I seriously doubt that Nuka and Vitani were actually Scar’s children since well….it’s never said in either the movie or The Lion Guard. And NO writer or producer has ever confirmed it. It’s just one of the many plot holes that makes The Lion King as a franchise a big mess. And second I’m pretty sure the outlands were always like that as we see with the Elephant Graveyard in the first movie.
If truth be told, as I read about Mufasa on Disney Wiki, Mufasa was not really a bad King. He was actually a great King. He may be a strong and powerful and dignified ruler, but he is actually known for his wisdom through years of experience and instruction. One flaw about him is that Mufasa, though very wise, mature, reasonable and responsible, is a poor judge of character.
Simba is even worse with his judgement. He assumed the worst about Kovu, and exiled him because he felt that he was "betrayed". Kovu wasn't taking orders anymore from Zira.
That is with Simba's case of his overprotective nature due to his past experiences when he was a cub. What I mean is that Mufasa did not look inside the heart of his younger brother Scar as he believed that Scar, as his brother, is his family, besides his wife Sarabi, his son Simba and his grandchildren, Kiara, Simba's first-born daughter, and Kion, Simba's second-born son which he'd gives advice to. When came the tragic moment of his life during the stampede of the wildebeests, Mufasa realizes too late and too little that Scar and his hyena henchmen had orchestrated the stampede, when Scar says mockingly, or taunting like: "Long live the King", then Scar lets Mufasa go.
@@spencerbeard7490to be honest, there were a scene where Simba told the truth about Scar, and Kovu said that he have never heard it before. Simba showed a little sprout that grew among the burned lands. Simba could be over-protective, but Kovu had no intentions to betray him, as he loved Kiara.
Simba was right about his assumptions though. Kovu's whole purpose of going to Pride Rock was to kill Simba. He just so happened fall for Kiara and change his mind. That doesn't negate the original plan though. Think about it, Scar's chosen heir, who was raised by the lioness that hates him randomly comes to join his pride? Why wouldn't he be suspicious of that?@@QueSeraSeraaaa

ISAAC CARLSON: Yeah I myself have rewatched the lion king so many times (it's one of my favorite movies) and when I was a kid I too often thought that Mufasa was a good king while Scar was a bad one, but looking at it now, I realize that during Mufasa's rein there's room for improvement and that he made mistakes, but maybe instead of trying to decide on whether or not he was a good king, maybe the more accurate question is whether or not he was as perfect of a king that the Lion King tries to portray him as. Nobody is perfect and it's like Simba said "what's left behind can grow better than the generation that came before" and that's essentially what Kion did in the Lion Guard. So for me was he a good King I would have to say yes because his heart was always in the right place and had a lot of love and protectiveness for his family, friends and kingdom, but was he a perfect King No because as you said there were relationships that he could have mended before he died and maybe his death wouldn't have happened if he had taken better approaches towards mending them
oh thanks for reminding of that Simba's quote: "what's left behind can grow better than the generation that came before", because Mufasa did have a big heart, which he also passed on to his descendants, and Simba and Kion had the chance of to improve the reign inthe Pridelands,In the Lion Guard this was seen, when Kion, after defeating Scar, managed to unite the Pridelands and Outlands in peace and that the Circle of Life is also respected by the Outlanders *So Mufasa was a good king, but maybe not perfect as I always saw him maybe before; because yes, if Mufasa had perhaps repaired the relationship with his brother or sought a cure for his scar's poison, everything would probably have been avoided, maybe
Honestly i really like Percy-McMurphy's take on Scar, its a comuc on deviantart that includes the lion guard very well, as well as his relationships with the fastests and others, and has good takes on what happened with the hyena clan, the lion guard, and even had a good thing where Scar was exiled for what he did, but he did something sneaky (or the comic's zira did something sneaky to get back in, since scar's exile was decided by ahadi that he will be exiled until his reign as king was over, and then it was up to mufasa. Zira got ahadi killed, mufasa let scar back but he was no longer royalty until his failed plan got him and zira able to save mufasa from an old blind water buffalo that got his rank back) to come back. I also like AudreyCosmo13's take on Zira, creating a heavily abusive relationship between zira and Scar, showing that scar cares for nothing but himself, and zira just desperately striving for his love, but just getting dust and stones
For me, from the first movie, no. He was not a bad King or a bad Father. It’s a great movie and he was a great character and I wish we could have seen more of him as well as more of him and Scar and the complexities of both of them but from the movies and not all these side things most people don’t watch or read.
Next theory: Was Zazu Working For Scar? There is a theory on Reddit suggesting that Zazu was secretly conspiring with Scar to dethrone Mufasa and Simba because he had concerns for the future of the monarchy under their rule and believed Scar would be a better king then them.
They recently released a Nightmare Before Christmas prequel telling the story of Oogie Boogie and his relationship with Jack Skellington. Think you could talk about that, Isaac?
Mufasa wasn't a bad king in anyway. He just choose to hope for the best with Scar and thought He would change given enough time. He clearly did not see Scar as a threat. If the only Hyenas Mufasa ever knew were evil He would have had no reason to believe anything different. Kion was very open to hearing Jasiri's side of the story so Whatever Hyena hatred was taught to Kion obviously more importance was placed on respecting all creatures. Otherwise Kion would never have listened to anything Jasiri had to say. Mufasa had a bit of a mischievous streak with Zazu, but He must have done something to make it up to Him (There is also the fact that Simba And Nala did allow this disrespect of Zazu to continue with Their Children) I think Simba's disapproval of Kion's Lion Guard was not of a sense of Lion Superiority, but more of a case of: As the ruling animal Lon's should protect The Pride Lands. Also as is evident by the: "Your Life depends on who is on Your Team" Clearly Simba did not have confidence that Kion's Team could have his back when Three of Four Teamates are phisically weaker than Lions. Also I agree with You. With no Male to Be King of The Pride Rock I think Sarabi would have ruled asThe Queen
Every video you do about the extended lore of this franchise just convinces me more and more that there is alot of bad writing going on in the shows and books for this that doesn't really line up with the original movie or it's direct sequels.
I always knew Scar was the villain, but from the beginning of the movie, it did appear to me he was dealt from the bottom of the deck, literally card number 52. Like when Mufasa said, “ That ‘hairball’ is my son, and your future king.” He was everybody’s future king, wasn’t he? I don’t know exactly how royalty works in families, but for an older sibling, as opposed to being a parent, he seemed to have an awful lot of power and authority over him. I don’t think killing his brother and coveting his role as king was okay in any way, but I wonder if their parents by any chance favored Mufasa over Scar all the time, as well as leaving the throne to the first born son, which, I understand, is just the way it’s done. I can’t imagine that Kate and William favor George over Louis. And again, I’m not defending Scar’s evil ways, I’m just saying that parents are supposed to love all their children and treat them all the same, and everyone should always feel important and wanted, not just demanded for convenience, even in royalty.
Scar. Another example of Disney ‘s jilted relative to those in power. If you take The Lion Guard as cannon, Scar was the intelligent leader of the Lion Guard in his time, and was ok with that, but when his brother didn’t listen to him , or believe him about a threat that we find out later slowly filled his mind and heart w darkness, he started to view his brother as an unworthy leader. Like a simple heat-felt thank you and some regular flower mede could have prevented so much. The one thing TLG didn’t do, was have Mufasa or any of Scar’s relatives express any regret or apologies to Scar.....until Kion broke the cycle. Good boy.
At the end of the day, Mufasa was a good king...but he was imperfect. Most good leaders have flaws, but it makes them great leaders when they embrace and learn from them. Unfortunately, Mufasa never got that chance. I guess Ghost Mufasa was on board with Kiara getting with Kovu. So, perhaps Mufasa learned afterall
Yeah I think from afterlife he gained a new way of looking at things especially by the second movie. I think he was still a bit tough in the first movie as a ghost insulting a bit of the way Timone and Pumba raised Simba but maybe seeing that there was lions who were loyal to scar really made him question things and where he had gone wrong as a king. Leading to his influence on trying to change things with Kion and Kiara
I think the best way to answer this is to ask ourselves what the original intent was back in 1994 no one knew the lion king was going to spun off the way that it did as such it was a self contained story about a good king getting betrayed by his evil brother and his Sun avenging him it’s Hamlet with lions. as such while the expanded lore is nice I don’t think anything that came after words was meant to frame Mufasa in a bad light he still did his job to the best of his abilities regardless of his thoughts on hyaena’s and still respect the circumstances the life, also bring his granddaughter together with kovo was technically his ghosts idea
Can you do a response to how shoulda ended . Mufasa's ghost coming back immediately . Or why didn't he tell Simba its not his fault when he did visit his son
I think personally that the ghost wasn't able to talk to Simba until he was ready to listen. Simba ignores his issues and kept running, even insulting something his father told him before seeing the ghost
If Mufasa hadn't been taken away too soon than maybe he could've learned that not all hyenas are bad and more about ALL the animals in the pride lands. He could've also learned about Scar's intentions too
Even though I now know that Mufasa was a flawed character/king and not just Simba (as seen in The Lion King 2), I still say “Hell nah, he wasn’t a bad king. Besides, let’s not forget that Scar’s reign proved to be disastrous for both the Pridelands and the Circle of Life. Though I don’t like that the toxic belief of all hyenas being evil and greedy was passed on from generation to generation, I feel like for the most part, Mufasa and Simba as kings were just doing their best to preserve the Pridelands and Circle of Life.
Well Mufasa was flawed but he’s definitely not as bad as Scar when he ruled, Mufasa’s heart was in the right place unlike Scar’s so that counts for something right?
Mufasa is basically King Duncan from Macbeth - wise, yet too trusting and ultimately unable to foresee betrayal from a close relative (basically the whole of the Lion King is essentially Macbeth from Malcom’s perspective). He is exactly the sort of unpragmatic (and virtuous to a fault) leader Machiavelli reluctantly criticized in "The Prince". So, basically Jimmy Carter.
I dont think Mufasa was a good king or person in general and here's why I think he is the worst Disney Character of all time and why I hate him Reasons: - He yells at his brother even tho he was to sad to go to the ceremony, going to a ceremony is a good thing, but if I was extreamly sad, I wouldn't go because I wouldn't want to ruin the happyness - He laughs at a mean joke about his brother and takes no effort to defend him - He lies to the other animals about turning into the grass when he dies - He uses his own friends as punching dummies for his son - He keeps the hyenas out of the Pride Lands no matter what forcing the hyenas to starve and dehydrate and the hyenas will defenently die to it - He immediately yells at his own son without even asking him why he went to the Elephant Graveyard - He feels no guilt about any of his actions
To be honest with you, i wouldn't go to a place where a birth happened. It's supposed to be a moment of joy, but more for the parents themselves. I kind of understand why Scar wasn't interested.
@@alexb859 that may be rude, but i sometimes don't feel concerned about someone's else happiness, unless if it's a good new for the country. @@alexb859 no you weren't rude, i was giving a warning that i may sounds rude by saying that i wouldn't care, nor take pride in that kind of subject. Scar wasn't even a royal lion, so i don't think that Mufasa could say that he should have been here, while nothing forced him.
Kimba is the real Lion King. And Kimba's father Panja was a better king than Mufasa. Panja was also better than Mufasa with the fact that the scarred lion villain was actually put in his place by Panja and stayed out of the way as a result..Then when Panja died it was up to Kimba to fight off the scarred lion and take his place as king. The scarred lion guilt tripped Kimba into thinking his father's death was his fault and chased Kimba out of his kingdom. Kimba had to search within himself to get the strength to return. Then when he returns he finds the scarred lion terrorizing his kingdom and running it into the ground. He also was trying to steal Kimba's mate. (That was a part of the Lion King plot in early concepts. Ripped right from Kimba) The Lion King ripped off that arc of Kimba's story. That was the plot of TLK as a whole.
@@QueSeraSeraaaa The 1989 series is much darker. And it has many of the element of TLK so I am not sure I believe Disney at all. Also, in episode 37 his father's ghost appears to him to give him the same type of speech that Mufasa gave to Simba. ua-cam.com/video/xNHMXLMsxZ4/v-deo.html (This)
Isaac Carlson no rulers or monarchs are perfect and all governments has problems including monarchies. In my opinion a good or great king, emperor or monarchial ruler doesn't need to be perfect just a good man who cares about his people, has well intentions and is a father to his subjects and nation that is what good monarch is and a great monarch as well. Mufasa wasn't perfect nor did I think he ever claimed to be perfect but you can't make a perfect and expect your kingdom or any other monarchy to do amazing things by having him be perfect.
Mufasa never saw or knew that Scar was turning evil, so that's why Mufasa still cared for Scar. Another point is that Mufasa sacrificed himself so that Sarabi could train Simba and for Simba to take the throne.
It's hard to say considering most of the accuracy of lions in the wild. However I still appreciate Mufasa. I love his rememberable quote where he tells Simba that he only is brave when he has to be. Even stating that being brave doesn't mean you go looking for trouble.
If Mufasa let the hyenas in the Pride Lands the whole kingdom would have been as it was with Scar, Mufasa dealt with the hyenas appropriately. But he failed with Scar. Don't forget Simba, technically banished Scar before the hyenas killed Scar. Now at this point if Scar hadn't blamed the hyenas, they could have ran to the outlands and formed an army along with those lionesses who were loyal to Scar. It would have been a better plot leading to the Lion King 2.
I don’t think so. The hyenas under Scar are animals that were trapped in a wasteland with no food for generations, and they’re suddenly released, and hungry. If they weren’t banished they’d be less of a problem.
"The family is a small nation, and the nation a large family. By treating his family with dignity, a ruler learns how to govern with dignity his nation."
The lion king would have gotten alot darker if scar was exiled considering if he gets the bigger army and has ziras group hell could be a better story if they did take over much earlier and maybe simba and nala with pumba and timone could seek the night pride and other hyena clans that didnt harm the circle of life but caught in crossfire of hatred between them and lions would have taught not one but two prides of lions that not all hyenas are bad
@@QueSeraSeraaaa yeah Or maybe the takeover of the outlanders could have been a result of no liongaurd formed by mufasa or any previous kings who thought they were adequate or because scar killed the previous members so mufasa disbanded them of fear of overpower But that had great consequences That could have been a great reason Simba now wanted a liongaurd formed to prevent the coalition of outsiders from happening again
@@Nicodemus-1004 i think Simba wasn't initially alright with a lion guard that have only one lion and different species. Scar had a guard full of lions, but i think, none agreed to kill Mufasa with him.
I agree with you Isaac. If only mufasa had enough time for his father who sadly had to many great droughts and situations to deal with so much that he couldn’t get enough time to pass enough great wisdom and ways to create a great and powerful kingdom. @@horseyfacetheglorious Mufasa bullshited Simba over the circle of life then, everyone contributed to it on their own way. There were a lot of anti-hyenas narratives, turned out that it was them who ended the reign of Scar alltogether.
If a good king means building a (physical and metaphorical) wall to protect all possible threats then you are just talking about fascism. If you aren't a fascist then you find other ways to deal with the problems while providing the freedom for all. In this case, he gave Scar every opportunity and never wavered when Scar was threatening. That's a good king. Mufasa had integrity.
Mufusa was quite a venerable king. I do think he was a little bit too lenient with Scar. In the Disney Villains comic starring Scar, the story is a little fleshed out with Rafiki trying to lead Scar on the right path and the hyenas dividing into two sects: The ones that respect the circle of life (probably ancestors of Jasiri) and the ones who indulge themselves. Simba is pretty conceited and arrogant compared to his father. If anything he went against what Mufasa worked to achieve. So far as I know Zira's pride were never a threat to the circle of life, only to Simba's throne. Simba talks about judgement a lot, but the way I see it, he has lost the right to judge anyone. He seems just as a much a tyrant as Scar ever was. I don't think Rafiki has told the whole story to Kion, otherwise Kion would have taken a different approach to the exiled lions. I'm sure of the lionesses in Simba's pride felt torn from their friends being sent away. Perhaps if Musafa had lived a full life and raised Simba for several years, he might have turned out a better king.

Mohatu was the best king. He worked with every species, even crocodiles. Even mufasa admitted he was the greatest king

I think he killed a former hyena leader, before Shenzi become one.
Only females hyenas are leaders.
Yes, exact; I'm glad at least Kiara and Kion did have a good sibling bond learning to work together, but sadly that Scar and Mufasa no
I think that was more on their parents though. Simba and Nala made it a point to raise them that way where as Mufasa and Scar's father seemed to never make their sibling relationship a priority@@BG-be8di

Spot on
I wish his backstory with Scar could be expanded more,
The "cobra venom turned him evil", wasn't really necessary, some websites said that he was named Askari like his ancestor of the same name..
But his real name was Taka, aknowledged before the Lion Guard.
Personally, I think that if mufasa was the one who gave scar his nickname, then maybe, but they had a bit of a rivalry as they grew older.
The book clearly said that his scar was an accident, not a random lion and cobra friend to join the "evil club"..
@@davidspring4003 well when you put it like that...
To be honest here, the scene with the cobra was too random..
Like that quote from the Story Animal farm "All animals are EQUAL"
Ahadi was actually an outlander and Uru is the daughter of Mohatu from the pridelands. Ahadi had gold fur, a black mane, green eyes, same nose like scar, same head shape like scar, and more bigger like Mufasa. Uru had dark fur like scar, red eyes like Mufasa, head shape like Mufasa, and a line on her forehead.
he may not have been a perfect king but he was a good king and father
Good = perfect, so no he was not a good king, you have low standards to what something equates to good. A good car runs perfect a good heart does not have heart attacks. A good plane does not sometimes fall from the skies it runs perfect. Face it He was a flawed king, if anything maybe you can say he was a decent king, but I would disagree he was prejudice and power hungry. He didn’t wanted to share the King status with scar, Lion prides are ran by 2-3 Male Lions not 1 king he wanted all the power and lioness poon to himself.
@@thereisnopandemicYou people are so annoying, trying to raise standards so high to boost your own egos.
I can't believe Kopa isn't canon.
That's Simba's firstborn son whom was killed by Zira.
Agreed, that would expand more on why Simba banished Zira to the outlands, not only because she pledged allegiance to Scar with some others.
When I looked kopa up it says he's alive
No just no I i don’t want Kopa!
Exactly Scar said he would be better but he wasn't he let chaos reign and it killed the pride land forcing all animals to flee elsewhere
As Simba would say to his son and I quote, "We all make mistakes, Kion."
Mufasa just has kind of an anger problem and kinda belittles his brother But he still ruled good I suppose

So for me was he a good King I would have to say yes because his heart was always in the right place and had a lot of love and protectiveness for his family, friends and kingdom, but was he a perfect King No because as you said there were relationships that he could have mended before he died and maybe his death wouldn't have happened if he had taken better approaches towards mending them
oh thanks for reminding of that Simba's quote: "what's left behind can grow better than the generation that came before", because Mufasa did have a big heart, which he also passed on to his descendants, and Simba and Kion had the chance of to improve the reign inthe Pridelands,In the Lion Guard this was seen, when Kion, after defeating Scar, managed to unite the Pridelands and Outlands in peace and that the Circle of Life is also respected by the Outlanders
*So Mufasa was a good king, but maybe not perfect as I always saw him maybe before; because yes, if Mufasa had perhaps repaired the relationship with his brother or sought a cure for his scar's poison, everything would probably have been avoided, maybe
No he was great King
And banished newborn hyenas for being hyenas XD great king indeed XD ;)

Next theory: Was Zazu Working For Scar?
There is a theory on Reddit suggesting that Zazu was secretly conspiring with Scar to dethrone Mufasa and Simba because he had concerns for the future of the monarchy under their rule and believed Scar would be a better king then them.
I always thought that Rafiki was a good friend of Ahadi (Mufasa and Scar's father).

Mufasa had a bit of a mischievous streak with Zazu, but He must have done something to make it up to Him (There is also the fact that Simba And Nala did allow this disrespect of Zazu to continue with Their Children)
I think Simba's disapproval of Kion's Lion Guard was not of a sense of Lion Superiority, but more of a case of: As the ruling animal Lon's should protect The Pride Lands. Also as is evident by the:
"Your Life depends on who is on Your Team"
Clearly Simba did not have confidence that Kion's Team could have his back when Three of Four Teamates are phisically weaker than Lions.
And again, I’m not defending Scar’s evil ways, I’m just saying that parents are supposed to love all their children and treat them all the same, and everyone should always feel important and wanted, not just demanded for convenience, even in royalty.
maybe Thera was royal to scare over Simba because of what happens when a new lion king over throws the old
Good boy.
Mufasa is never evil

wow you really just came right out of the gate with this ,Issac
The one thing about Mufasa being a bad King is him bringing his brother scar in who ended up killing him. So the truth is, Scar is a bad King.
Mufasa was a just and righteous king in my book. Great video as always, love your take on things in the TLK universe.
Isaac thank you for always making an effort to keep us entertained!

Mufasa is basically King Duncan from Macbeth - wise, yet too trusting and ultimately unable to foresee betrayal from a close relative (basically the whole of the Lion King is essentially Macbeth from Malcom’s perspective). - He keeps the hyenas out of the Pride Lands no matter what forcing the hyenas to starve and dehydrate and the hyenas will defenently die to it

I can confirm that a monarchy or government can be trully imperfect and brought a lot of issues when nobody asked for that.

Theorist vs Critics . Isaac Carlson vs Easley confews Mathews
Was Mufasa a bad king? Why would you even ask that? Heck No! He was the best king Pride Rock could ever have!
Mohatu was the best king. He worked with every species, even crocodiles. Even mufasa admitted he was the greatest king

my next Question is: what happened to ed shenzi and banzai before the lion guard

Disny did their reasurch on Lions and hyenas and they are mortal enimes in nature and are forever rivials fighting for food its nature
Didn't lions just avoided the hyenas?
Doesn't matter, the lion king universe mimicks our world with how the monarchy works so it is racist to banish every single hyena
don't forget to mention that when scar got his scar after protecting the pridelands Mufasa didn't thank him, he just nicknamed him scar
I was expecting a Halloween-related video for Halloween…
Elephants are above the food chain they should be the kings being neutral
They are bigger, really smart, have an increased life-span.
I saw a group greeting a new baby, i learned that this isn't rare at all.
An elephant is usually majestuous, and can be friendly or threatening.
No!
Scar was that guy who stayed with his younger brother and never moved out.
Mufasa was his older brother. ^^
Other way around
What if scar played the long passive game by not killing mufasa but intsead trying to undermine simbas eventually take over.
Would it be likely that mufasa would pass on his feelings nd views on scar to simba
I think Mufasa is selfish. I don't know why his parents would give him the throne instead of Scar maybe because he is the first born. I get that he had Sarabi & Simba just because he wants a family but doing so makes Scar never get a chance to be king.
He's the firstborn, it's the tradition. Watch The Lion Guard, and maybe you can understand why Mufasa was the king.
How is Muafasa selfish oh wait HES NOT!
@@FantasticFawnleap Oh yeah having a kid so that one day someone can replace you in the throne & not letting your brother rule the throne? The way this world works is wrong in all ways.
@@Blackadam-c9q dude what is wrong with your brain you saw what happened when scar became king IT WASNT A GOOD THING!
Hi Isaac. Could you maybe make a tribute story video about James Earl Jones?
The lion guard is not canon
I formed the guard but after Mufasa’s passing any Lion guard forming was banned
I can't agree that Mufasa is a bad king because can't get himself to banish or kill Scar. That's character.
Scars real name wad taka takas real parents takas father name is obasi and the mother eshe
What if scar and Mufasa both shared the throne because if they shared Mufasa was not going to die
Could simba have had a brother while he was a cub in the pride lands and what if mufasa treated simbas brother the same way mufasas dad treated scar but was never shown in the lion king movies
This is the problem with not only this theory, today we are not taught “Oh, danger; we need to defend ourselves” we are taught, and are told to believe “Oh, danger. 1. We clearly deserve it. 2. Sympathize with the monster, because clearly we do things the right way and prosper, but because there those who do the wrong thing have less, we are clearly in the wrong because we have it better and have more.” Lastly, we are taught “If you’re powerful and try your best, you’re wrong”, but if you’re , at the very least seen as having less, or being less powerful, “If you have nothing and do your worst to everyone else, then that’s ok, you’re under privileged, and because of that you not only get a pass in life, you get fan fair.”
If Mufasa was a D&D character:
LV 10 King
STR: 18
DEX: 13
CON: 15
INT: 10
WIS: 11
CHA: 18
I believe Mufasa was a great king.
Can you please do a video on Elemental?
This reminds when Tywin Lannister told Tommen about the king who was loved and a good king but was killed by his brother
Ps the Lion King is my favorite movie 🦁❤️
I think the real bad Kings were Scar and Simba. Simba sentenced 3 innocent cubs to live under that psychopath Zira's thumb and Scar well we all know what he did.
I'm glad sing couple because I thought I am grown up watch Disney shows but now I'm going to keep watching them
Could you Do the complete Story of Boss Wolf Please?🐺
At first this guy reminded me of Biff from Back to the Future.
That’s the whole reason why I love Kion, he makes sense to Simba’s, and Mufasa’s insanity. Kion is my favorite character in the whole franchise because he doesn’t favor lions over other animals, and cares about everyone.
I wish we coumd have seen the perspective of the other animals. I doubt they would be happy when the lions were still in power even after scars reign
Mufasa loved his Family
I didn’t see anything Infamouse about him!
But she is the queen even when mufasa was king
Awesome as always thanks ❤
