Hobby Shop Ron is like every older dudes I've met in concert tailgates that will tell you how they've seen Iron Maiden in 1982 front row for like 8$. Such nice to hear all those crazy stories
Just started watching your guys videos recently. Had no idea this is hobby shop Ron. I've met him multiple times are various shows can confirm Ron is awesome
Ron is what had me subscribe after watching you for years. He's a gem, glad we got to spend some more time with him. His advice on diversification is sound.
Really great video guys! Just hearing the insight of someone whos been doing it for as long as Ron has, it's really awesome. Wishing you guys continued success. Cheers!
I am impressed with Hobby Shop Ron...25 shows a year ...I only try to hit 1-2 marble shows a year in retirement but have the misc other collectibles to hit other shows ..:-)...loved train thief and gas stories..
First Mickey Mouse gumball machine seen in years...got one years ago full of marbles now...Collect Co is an internet record auction firm in Nashville...probably would buy Elvis stock box
"random NHL hockey players like Adam Oates..." I'm almost screaming at the screen in 90's Bruins fan. The dude was in the league for almost 20 years, he's a legend! But, I've got to say, Hobby Shop Ron is amazing and I'm glad he came out to the barn to see what you built. Keep up the great work!
Ron sounded like an awesome gentleman. Reminded me of a few uncles I have with that same sense of humor That I always love. I would make Ron part of my family too if I have known and meet him.
Back in the 80's i spent alot of my money on D&D, Modules, Manuals, figures...loved painting them. Spent hours and hours on D&D!! Not the computer but the face to face original gary gegax game lol
I saw hobby shop ron at a couple coin shows we were both participating at. I frequented his stores when ii was a teen and later in the 90s. I am now 60 years old and it was nice talking to him after all these years. We both remember each other from way back when and we had some good conversation. Thanks ron
Chase and crew, Ron's store was like being a kid and walking into a candy store. It was packed from floor to ceiling with everything imaginable. He is not exaggerating when he says he had 30 show cases. His ailseways were barely walkable and his counters were packed. He used to let me go behind the counters to the shelves and let me go through the boxes and boxes of sports cards he had on the back shelves. I was in Heaven!! Keep up the great work boys!!
Love Hobby Shop Ron! I knew the second I saw the color that it was McCoy pottery. I'm a Roseville and McCoy collector. Very cool that you are hip to it.
I live in the area where McCoy and Roseville were made. I have dealt with them at our antique booths for decades. The numbers on the Roseville will tell you the identity of the piece usually. The last number after the dash is sometimes the size of the piece. For instance, that wall pocket you held up may have been made in two or three different sizes. The number after the dash tells you which one you have. Some colors of the same cast are much more rare and valuable than others, so pay attention to variants.
Hobby Shop Ron is great to watch and listen to hia stories. Ron is right, there are down turn in markets, you should diversify; I think what he brought (items and knowledge) are valuable.
I love my A1 Bambu printer. I got out of 3D printing because it was too much DIY to get the machine working--but the A1 is set right out of the box, it's so nice. I sound like a rube but I just really like their machines.
Love the video! Hobby shop Ron! FYI the rare piece out of the 94 SL hockey set is Grant Fuhr. And now it’s only worth like 20-30. Definitely bundle time.
I started with games, but I sell more of the kinda stuff you buy from hobby ton (well 50s-2000s) toys , cameras, jewelry, and stuff like he sold you. But man he had such an amazing assortment of really nice stuff. Even his “ meh “ stuff is better than most collections I’ve gone to look at lol
Those science magazines he was talking about a fun. They are pulp magazines. Basically designed as throw away novels. For those it’s all about subject matter, cover artists, cover art and authors. 20s-40s are the best in my opinion, but there are decent and well sought after pulps in the 50s-70s.
I hung up the phone on my boss to watch this video lol. Hobby shop Ron's the best
lol
What a good story that is. Not only is he absolutely smashing it at 82, but I love the other fellas retired and is back to helping him out.

I'm 50 and saw Black Sabbath on the Forbidden tour back in the 90's. TIckets were $20. :)

Hobby Shop Ron is the true star of this channel.
We need more mentors and older people in our lives. True respect for the older generation that invests time and knowledge to the younger!
