Growl and screams are very hard to sustain on the long term, You find a lot of vocal coaches going for teas, or sprays. Most of which are astringent, only serving to constrict the vocal cords. The other option is alcohol which loosens blood flow, and is very bad for your health.

She finds genuine joy in being surprised and experiencing things that are different. She loves MUSIC, all MUSIC, and she means it.
You'll never see Beth Roars react to a song like this and go "ew that's satanic" or dismiss something as just weird and foreign. It's amazing to watch someone who knows so much about music be overjoyed to see different things and talk about it and the skill involved in things she doesn't specialize in.

That's what good music, and musicians do..bring out the excitement and emotions. This is the best metal band to hit the scene in the past 20 years, a breath of fresh air to metal as a genre. The musicians are stand alone phenomenal already, adding her angel/ demon voice to it is icing on the cake. So glad you got to experience their work, and loved the genuine emotional reaction you had. Just going to stick my neck out for some of the metal bands releasing music over the past 20 years. While Jinjer are great, there's a clear influence from the recent prog metal bands that pioneered this style, e.g. Periphery, TesseracT, BtBAM and many more equally talented bands. Check out this TesseracT vid from 2011 this if you're curious, you'll notice many parallels that could be drawn: ua-cam.com/video/XwBmhnkRGM8/v-deo.html
Not saying Jinjer aren't great. Just raising awareness that metal has been in a really great place lately, though not quite as visible as before.

A fun experiment I've seen has been someone asking random people in the streets how easy they think the growl/screams in metal is to do, and to try to give them their best attempt. It always makes the ones who actually attempt admit that it's a lot harder than they thought. :P
I must say though, the instant I saw you were going to react to Jinjer - Pisces, I thought "oh this is going to be good". I've seen quite a few other vocal coaches react to this specific song now and they all get super surprised at the initial juxtaposition, but each and every one has so far been surprisingly tolerant/enthusiastic about it after the first shock wears off. I say surprisingly, because I still don't expect metal, especially that particular style of metal, to be as commonly accepted "out there" as it might seem, sometimes.
Regardless, love the analysis, you found a few details no other vocal couch pointed out as well, which just makes me appreciate the song (and Tatiana's skills) even more now, so thanks! :)
