My special greeting for being the first time I visit your channel And it gives me great pleasure that you want to dive into the ABBA catalog There are several ways to do it but my suggestion is the Chronological Order, so you can follow Their musical evolution It depends on the time you want to dedicate to it, I give you three suggestions 1) the complete discography, album x album, from the first Ring Ring (1973) to the last "Voyage" (2021) 2) their most successful singles: or ABBA's Top 20 in the UK, or the Gold album, since "Waterloo" 3) ABBA's official videos, from 'Ring Ring' to "I still have faith in you " Other songs are added to these suggestions due to their importance (eg the first single "People need love") or quality (eg "Hole in your soul" live, and those from the latest album "Voyage" I hope to see you soon enjoy with ABBA My best regards from Buenos Aires Argentina South América
Mrs PenPal I think Agnetha is the prettiest women in the world and her voice is like Angelic and watching your reaction video you have the same beautiful almond eyes as Agnetha you are extremely pretty!
ABBA in the begining two swedish couples, meet in 1969: Agnetha (blonde singer) & Björn (guitarist songwriter) Benny (pianist songwriter) & Anni Frida (brunette singer) Agnetha & Björn married in 1971, with two Young childrens Benny and Frida married in 1978, withouth own childrens both couples separated before the breakup of ABBA in 1982: Agnetha & Björn at end of 1978 Benny & Frida at begin 1981 "The winner takes it all" (1980) is one of the Best Songs by ABBA and the Most sad and emotional too The best lyrics by the guitarist Björn and the greatest performing with the amazing Interpretation of the blonde singer Agnetha Fältskog and her soprano voice The lyrics is a fiction about a divorce, it is not about Their real life, although it is obviously influenced by Their own experiences and the realization of the legal divorce between Agnetha & Björn in the middle of 1980, even though They were no longer a couple or lived together more than a year and half ago, at the end of 1978 In fact, the song was more nearly in time to the split of Benny & Frida as a couple, only a few months later "The winner takes it all" return ABBA to the Top of the charts, gives ABBA their eighth #1 in UK after almost two years and half Also was the fourth and last Top10 to ABBA in U.S (pick at #8 in 1981) and #1 in US Adult Contemporary too "The winner takes it all" was voted the Best ABBA song by the British fans, and is the favourite ABBA song to the blonde singer Agnetha and now in the new Voyage concerts at London that begins exactly one year before, the encore song is... "The winner takes it all" ABBA have more than 20 worldwide hits, Their biggest Is "Dancing Queen" (1976) Their first worldwide hit was "Waterloo" (1974) when ABBA win the classic Eurovisión Song Contest in UK I wish to You a nice week my best regards from Buenos Aires , Argentina 🇦🇷 South America

it would be good if you do them in order from when they became known in a lot of countries from their win of the eurovision song contest. the eurovision song contest is where each european country sends a singer or group to represent them in a singing compatiton once every year.the country that wins hosts it the next year. last year the ukraine won but couldn't host it so the uk who came second hosted it in liverpool( where the beatles come from)in their honor. ABBA won it in 1974 in brighton on the south coast of england with a song called waterloo.
That is a good performance but I think another live performance was even better from Agnetha. The video version is simply titled "ABBA - S.O.S. 1975" My least favourite is the official video which doesn't do them justice.
The greatest separation song ever, with the greatest singing performance ever. Just listen at 6:18. And she does that again just a few seconds afterwards. This was in fricking 1980. Please bring me the today's crappy overrated divas out of their expensive beds and tell them to do stuff like this: Good luck.
Agnetha is singing, & she & husband Bjorn (clean-shaven) were having marital difficulties, resulting in divorce. Bjorn wrote the song out of the emotions, but maintains it's not a strict account of the breakup. Thanks for your reaction.
We ABBA fans are a bit obsessive. The song is not autobiographical but colored by Agnetha and Bjorn’s divorce. Listen to when all is said and done, where Frida’s sings about her a divorce from Benny.
Here's my personal guide to ABBA. First, here are 25 'essential' ABBA songs. These are the classics that you really should hear: Dancing Queen (1976) The Winner Takes It All (1980) Chiquitita (1979) Take a Chance on Me (1977) Fernando (1975) Gimme! Gimme! Gimme! (A Man After Midnight) (1979) (the studio version is longer than the music video) Voulez-Vous (1979) Money, Money, Money (1976) The Name of the Game (1977) Knowing Me, Knowing You (1976) Mamma Mia (1975) Super Trouper (1980) The Day Before You Came (1982) Eagle (1977) (the full album version, not the music video) Summer Night City (1978) (there's a longer version with an extra intro) Does Your Mother Know (1979) Lay All Your Love on Me (1980) Thank You for the Music (1977) Waterloo (1974) One of Us (1981) SOS (1975) I Have a Dream (1979) Happy New Year (1980) When All Is Said and Done (1981) Ring Ring (1973) And if you can't get enough, I highly recommend these songs as well: The Way Old Friends Do (1980) (the version on the Super Trouper album) I Let the Music Speak (1981) I'm a Marionette (1977) I've Been Waiting for You (1975) One Man, One Woman (1977) My Love, My Life (1976) Our Last Summer (1980) Tiger (1976) People Need Love (1972) The Visitors (1981) Hole in Your Soul (1977) When I Kissed the Teacher (1976) I Wonder (Departure) (1977) Cassandra (1982) Head over Heels (1981) On and On and On (1980) Angeleyes (1979) Honey, Honey (1974) My Mama Said (1974) Should I Laugh or Cry (1981) Elaine (1980) Lovers (Live a Little Longer) (1979) Arrival (1976) So Long (1975) Disillusion (1973) Hey, Hey Helen (1975) Watch Out (1974) Lovelight (1979) I Do, I Do, I Do, I Do, I Do (1975) Rock Me (1975) Slipping Through My Fingers (1981) Me and I (1980) Under Attack (1982) That's Me (1976) If It Wasn't for the Nights (1979) Move On (1977) Gonna Sing You My Lovesong (1974)
My advice is to ignore advice!!😊 and randomly pick any of the 130+ ABBA songs. You MIGHT find one you do not like! That makes for a more interesting reaction. There are a lot of hidden gems.
I understand and understand that we all have different tastes and opinions, and all are respectable I saw your extensive list of 25 essential songs, to which you later add a bonus of 37 more (62 recommendations in total) What surprises me is that you totally ignore the "Voyage" album, especially with its comeback songs. Are "I still have faith in you" and "Don't shut me down" not essential? It do not enter the bonuses "Just a notion" or "Kep an eye on Dan" (for example)?
@@eduardooscar309 I agree totally which is why I said a random sampling is best. A person's reaction may be influenced by a dozen people having suggested a song - i. e. so it MUST be good! Even a single request may lead to a wish not to disappoint. There are some ABBA songs which I think merit criticism. I am interested in what others think of them in case I am missing something🙂
@@andrewjenkinson7052 I do not agree with the random criteria It has happened with some reactors that took an ABBA song from the non-classical ones and never came back. And in fact, I also think that ABBA has weak songs (like any artist, even THE BEATLES) That's why I do believe that there is a way to listen to ABBA ABBA UK Top 10 20 or Gold album is a solid base to start It all depends on the time that each reactor wants to dedicate to ABBA, there are very few who want to explore the entire catalog, the vast majority do not listen to more than 10 songs Because also makes reactions from other artists.
A song about divorce as the group were two ex-married couples. I was 13 when Abba won Eurovision and they were ubiquitous throughout my teens. Was singing Anthem last night by Benny and Bjorn.
