I have one of Mr. Foleys bouzoukis dated 1997 (he built it for me and sent it to Colorado springs where I lived then...I enjoy it, i have only seen 3 in America. ( i own the 3rd) tragically the tail piece was pulled string tension into the top" folding " the spruce. and the top has dehumidified cracks but still a vintage bouzouki. the humidity is much lower in El Paso county Colorado than in Churchtown and i did not even THINK about a sound hole humidifier. I now keep it tuned below standard pitch. the high E would break sometimes tuning it up standard. still i play it nicely.
