I have personally really been enjoying the AMES 85. It's a phenomenal Mid/Long range AR with the near-0 recoil, which allows you to invest a lot of your attachments to stuff like ADS time, movement speed, and damage range. It's probably gonna be my go-to for a Sniper Support when WZ drops

Yeah BO6 is amazing and was worth returning for, but it’s unfortunate that u missed MW 2019. Anyway, BO6 could end up being the best Black Ops game so hopefully it does (I’m talking about for MP - I doubt it does for Zombies).

I have been personally maining the GPR-91, aka the L85A1. I have noticed that slower ttk. However, I personally really love that easy recoil plot and fast handling because it allows me to perch on power positions to watch over the objective or to charge in and get the drop on someone. Now I'm incredibly biased because I've been wanting another L85 since MW2019, but personally, I've enjoyed it.
I just hate that I can feel the slower TTK on it. It's the AR I want to love, but I lose so many engagements I normally win with an AK or M4. It's emotionally distressing.
I started using the AK74 just because I wanted the level 35 optic for my XM4 and I've fallen in love with it, it feels so good and it's a melt machine if you land a headshot. Probably the first time since BO1 where I really enjoyed the AK in a CoD game.

I feel like BO6's attachments feels is similar to the MWII's tuning system but make it available as independent options while keeping it simplified and arcadey. MWII is about characterized the attachments in a realistic-based manner with a tuning system to compensate the weight of adding attachments, and MWIII's gunsmith (for MWIII weapons) feels like a middle ground between the two with the combinational universal attachments to allow the gunsmith to be more competitive. However the abundant of universal attachment options with similar stats and the horrible UI have made MWs' gunsmithing less intuitive at times imo.
Yes, I haven't played COD properly since BO2 because every game since then has been meh or horrible. BO6 I'm only playing cause it's on my Game Pass subscription. It's not as fun as I remembered it was in BO2 but it's scratching that itch I've missed for so long. But no way is it worth the price they are asking. It's essentially the same carbon copy cash cow it's always been, except now with forced SBMM...
Man, I've absolutely loved the GPR. Yeah, the TTK isn't the best, but the base recoil on it means you don't need to build for it at all, and you can focus purely on improving the handling, use a suppressor, and even use rapid fire without feeling much impact (at least imo).
3:40 - I think the CHF Barrel has weird enough statistics that it warrants a video entirely on its own, looking at which weapons benefit from it and which don't. I know that for the burst marksman rifles, it is an absolutely useless attachment at nearly all ranges.

With attachments focusing on damage I’ve been enjoying it, it moves fast for an assault rifle and has very little recoil. Damage isn’t good enough until attachments are right though.
I've been loving the XM4 and Model L, and was surprised that they were on the (relatively) average side TTK wise. But their consistency and ease of use really makes up for it, and I think they are both competitively viable. Great vid and info as always Ace.
AMES 85 was my favorite, and I have over 5k kills with it, but recently I've been using the AK & it's been a dream. I rotate heavily between the AK, Krig, and the Saug.
For me in Black Ops 6, the Ames 85 is my favorite out of the ARs and is actually my favorite gun in the game. I know 320ms isn’t all that competitive in the TTK department but does have an excellent 51 meter range and decent aim walking movement speed. In my opinion, I feel like the Ames is one of the meta Assault Rifles in the game.
This data is actually shocking. So often I die so fast i only hear a single bullet impact before the final shot hits me. When looking at recordings, the time to die is barely over 100ms. This means that the discrepancy is a nearly 3× difference. That is awful.
Ace you didn't put anything for hardcore in this video 😢 Hardcore seems to be very different this year for damage. It would be nice to know the one shot range average. (For body and head shots)
The shots to kill graph would be easier to read at a glance if the colors were ordered. I'd say make 1 magenta, because it's not in the color spectrum and like magic kills in 1 shot, then 2 can begin the order either from the purple end or the red.
This color order is specifically designed to be readable by people with various forms of color blindness. I initially started off doing it the way you suggested many years ago but decided to change it after tons of comments from people saying they couldn't see what was going on at all.
I hope they buff the headshot multiplier to the headshot barrel so it's 2 shots to the head but nerf the body damage to like 15 damage so if your not hitting head shots it's still balanced but not overpowered and theres a huge trade off to using it. You have to mix a head shot to make it viable. Therew no reason to use the chf headshot barrel over the gain twist at all.
So far i've only used the XM4 in the AR category since i want to make sure i have all attachments unlocked for it before i enter first prestige, but it is an amazingly solid weapon. Has a lot of potential versatility based on how you build it. On that note, though, i hope they bring back the setting to customize your sensitivity for tac stance specifically, because i tried using the tac stance laser on it and it moves around way more than i like.
I’m calling it now - the Ames 85 is gonna pop off in warzone because of the damage range - long barrell, silencer, rapid fire, and a foregrip/laser combo.

I like to win the accuracy battle in mid-range fights, and for me the 1. Ames and the 2. Model L have been the most accurate at range. Feel pretty confident taking on snipers where I need to hit the first few shots or I'm dead with either.
I noticed looking at the advance stats is when I added the headshot barrel about half of the attachments will counter the headshot multiplier bonus from the headshot barrel
Little quibble I have. I am not sure how you order the weapons in shots to kill chart, but i feel it would be easier on the eyes if they were in order of ttk 2:17
In the campaign, best AR was the AS VAL for me, but I'm not lvl 55 in MP yet so I can't say for sure. So I guess I'll have to give my "Best AR" vote to the Grekhova

Looking forward to the footstep breakdown video, I'm really struggling this time around to get kills consistently, I get the idea of footstep audio being balanced for Ninja and all that, and trying to make a game of call of duty accessible is hard. Well I just can't seem to hear anyone consistently, is there some way to accidentally enable third person load, somebody mentioned there was a third person mode and I just don't want to accidentally be in that and mess up the audio more

I main the XM4 when running AR’s. It just seems to be a good multi-tool in that category when it comes to different situations. And I’m partial to running the Gunfighter wildcard to max any primary gun’s effectiveness.

2:24 why is the XM4 better at long range at 375ms ttk at 6 shots when the AK74 is 368 ttk at 5 shots at long range? Pretty sure 368 < 375
Maybe he's taking into account the AK has more recoil so that 7 ms won't mean much. That he he didn't notice the AK was less.

The horizontal recoil on most of the guns coupled with the weird flinch on M&K makes this game feel a little strange, still haven't gotten used to it.
Currently the best AR i found is surprisingly the Goblin, like you i really like semi autos.

AMES 85 in HC is the most consistent for me at all ranges and quick engagements
What pisses me off in hardcore is that assault rifles are a 2 hit kill whil smgs are a one hit kill

Weirdly one of my favourites has been GPR. Must be the easy recoil and ads speed. Never realised it’s ttk was so bad
I main the XM4 when running AR’s. It just seems to be a good multi-tool in that category when it comes to different situations.
And I’m partial to running the Gunfighter wildcard to max any primary gun’s effectiveness.
M4 is always my favorite rifle in CoD. Though a lot of it is due to my bias because I own and love to shoot them IRL a lot.

The "AR" platform has been available to the public since 1989.. U.S Military has been using the 'AR' platform since the late 60's .. 'M4' is a designation for a military weapon system built with an 'AR' platform.. Using a carbine length buffer tube or rifle length will dictate the stock.. both still use a gas tube, an upper and lower reciever with 2 takedown pins and a bolt carrier group. 'Anderson Rifle' has been around a long time.. thanks to Stoner.. He created a king
