Idk man the cameras on all flagship phones nowadays have gotten so good that these comparison reviews tend be just for nit-picking. Ur everyday consumer would look at all these photos and be very impressed considering these r phone cameras 🤷🏾
Very true now they are all good to me price is winner. For pixel
@@SystemsPlanet You ever go to specsavers? 🤓🤓
As a note 20 owner I really like the pixel colors in daytime photos
I like watching my pictures from my full frame camera on my Note 20 Ultra
@@felixlechat1780, I do too. I love having that option on the Note 20 Ultra. Awesome phone.
Just learn how to use pro mode
How is the ultra camera under harsh life n low light
@@anangbrandon8254, I find it does a very good job. Now I'm coming from a Pixel 3 XL, not the latest, greatest, Pixel 4 or 5. Compared to my 3 XL, the Samsung is absolutely better.
Pixel shots always looks natural compared to others....and they really nailed the white balance
Pixel really stepped up their video game. Really solid
Watching this a little over a week of having the SN20U. They both have their strong points, that's for sure. I'm still happy and you have to give up a little on either one to gain. Great review. Thank you!🤩
How come you didn't compare the ultrawide cameras? Missed opportunity. :(
The ending was hillarous haha 😅 great review 👍👍 can't wait for my pixel 5 😊
Pixel's edge detection is still unmatched in my opinion. Really cool that you can use your galaxy buds as mics when recording tho.
Hopefully Google takes some notes and adds that feature to the Pixel buds.
I've got the pixel 5 and really pleased. Nice comparison 😎👍
Finally not a comparison against the OnePlus 8t oder Galaxy FE, thank you 🙏
Loved ur video, i didnt know you could use earbuds for mics with camera! Thanks!
Skb, I've been following you since you guest hosted an episode of the destructid show. You're the truth! And thanks for serving our country!
Thanks man and I had some good times with the Revision3 crew.
Awesome video man. Have you done a comparison with just normal day to day functionality between the two?
I'm guessing you made it out safe. 😁 Nice solid comparison. Great work.
Awesome video dude! Keep it up!
Solid review. I've been a subscriber since iphone 4. 😭
Simpler times.
I'm probably going to get a Pixel, but one thing I never see reviewers do in these head-to-heads is compare "pro" camera use. I've had Galaxy S phones for the last 5 years, and while the automatic images can be a bit questionable, I've got great results when setting my own ISO, white balance and aperture/shutter speed. I'd be interested to see how newer Galaxies compare to the new Pixel when the Pro settings are employed.
lmaoo the whole time I was thinking man that place looks a lil sketchy then we get to the end and 😂
R u going to do a comparison for
Pixel 5 VS s20 Se which is more comparable?
Nice comparison! Just got the Pixel 5 - hope you survived to make your next video🤔🤔🤔
Soldier knows best indeed... 👍
The Pixel 5 is a beast!
Great video comparison. Keep up the good work! New subscriber here.
Thank you 😊 Soldier!!
Thanks for the many portrait shots 👍
Great video man
Nice video SKB!
Is it the app that handles the images better or the hardware, to me it looks like you could install the I'm on the note and have the same results? Maybe?
So which phone would you recommend for taking Instagram ready photos without any editing? The easiest to use with the best quality photos? We take a lot of pics of animals and close up portrait style photos for our farm.
I've had a Samsung Galaxy for years now. I currently have a Galaxy 10. My husband has a Google Pixel 3a I believe. His photos are far superior than mine. The portrait setting is beautiful & it's so easy to use. His photos are what I would call Instagram ready without any editing.
I wouldn't hesitate to get a Pixel if it only had expandable storage
Good thing you did the right comparison, unlike other youtubers doing pixel 5 vs galaxy s20 fe. Or other budget phones vs googles flagship pixel 5
@@jamesshaeffer-nv4kq it's not always like about being flagship.
Actulally the point is that, note 20 ultra is the highest offering from samsung nad pixel 5 is Google's highest offerings. And now in this regard pixel comes ahead in photos
These phones honestly shouldn't be compared, and half of the Note's camera features had to be stripped away or ignored to create things that could be compared to.
Were comparing 1080p front video and 30 fps for rear video because the Pixel can't do better. No 8k comparison because this can't be done, no pro mode comparison because Pixel cameras don't have a pro mode, and on and on and on.
This is definitely more of a match-up for the FE, or a lesser offering from Samsung.
Nice video bro, u have a new member
Excellent video, as always Soldier Knows Best
Thx!
What happened after the car stopped? Don’t leave us on a cliffhanger😂
If a car stops, you keep moving out here in St. Louis lol.
@@SoldierKnowsBest thank god you’re alive lol
@@SoldierKnowsBest 😂😂 Definitely where you was filming at.
Video on this year's pixel is underrated! I need that 4k 60frames on my 4XL though Google WTH!
I realize this video is not focusing on battery life but can you share your battery life comparison between these two phones, sir?
New subscriber, good video bro🤳
Which phone camera you prefer out of these : Pixel 5 or Oneplus 8 Pro?
I work for the railroad. Was that shot taken in Jersey by chance ???
Brother I wuld hav appreciate if u have added HDR shot(portraits HDR sun right behind) in ur video
So the Pixel 5 cannot use the wireless hear buds as a mic? im confused on that
In porttait foto background useselly is blurred and not surposed to be sharp
Really good comparisons. I agree the Pixel 5 has the edge over the skin tones. Could this be fixed in the future with updates to the Note camera software? I am upgrading from a Pixel 3 XL so I am keen not be disappointed if I go for the Note 20 Ultra.
You won't be. I've been a huge Google smartphone fan for years, and haven't liked Samsung much. I bought the Note 20 Ultra because I didn't like the direction Google choose to go with budget and cost being the main factor. I wasn't sure if I'd keep the Note 20 because as I mentioned, I've not been a fan of alot of the Galaxy and Note phones I've bought, and quickly sold, in the past. But the first hour I had the Note 20 Ultra I was blown away and knew this would be a "keeper". It's been 2 months since than and I LOVE this phone just as much today as I did that first hour. The only thing that is driving me crazy coming from a Pixel 3 XL is the power button on the Note 20 is below the volume rockers and there isn't enough space separating them. I find myself constantly hitting the power button, and thus turning the video off I'm watching, when I mean to lower the volume. But I'll get used to it. Just a minor inconvenience. One other thing, Google isn't offering shit for trade in. It's like $150.00 for my 128 GB Pixel 3 XL vs Samsung offering $400.00, even if you have a cracked screen. That's HUGE.
@@Drewg351 I wish I could agree with you but and it’s a big but: your Note 20 Ultra has the Snapdragon 865+ which has outstanding performance at lower temperature and better battery life. Here in the UK, I would have to endure the Exynos 990 chipset which runs at higher temperature, lower battery life and poorer ( 20%) performance. Lots of reports here of the phone, barely lasting a day without needing to recharge. Also, one reviewer on UA-cam had the phone in his backpack for a walk on a mountain and it got very hot, just trying to establish a signal. On top of this, the high phone cost in pay monthly deals e.g. £100 and say £55+ per month. We don’t get generous trade in deals like yours. I am going to wait until the Samsung S21 launches in January, or see I can’t source the US version of the Note 20 Ultra.
@@DanielWesterdale, sorry bud. Didn't realize you were in the UK. I wouldn't buy the Exynos version either, unless it was a couple of hundred dollars less. It's crazy that Samsung uses the same model name, ala "Note 20 Ultra", yet makes different versions, ala Snapdragon vs Exynos.
"All right, so here are some photos of me trying to look woke here." 😂😂😂
Nice comparison.
It's 2020 and Google is still using 1080p for selfie video.
This is their best phone
came here to kill time- ended up subscribing. That doesnt happen often haha
Which phone came out on top in your opinion?
I think that you intentionally favored the Pixel. Note 20 Ultra has settings for the bokeh effect from within the camera app and I'm sure that you could take much much better portraits. Also you didn't even compare the Ultra wide lenses for some reason...
Pixel5 ; no question
@@MPQHD7 I'm sure I mentioned the fact that you can edit the bokeh on the Note 20 and that I did this comparison as if the average person would be just taking the phone out of their pockets to capture something and not going into Pro mode, fine tuning every setting and then taking the picture. It's like you might be listening to parts you don't like. I did forget to add in the ultrawide photos.
@@SoldierKnowsBest you mentioned that you can edit the bokeh effect through the galley app. While on the Note, you can also set it up in a better, more preferred setting through the camera app (bottom right corner in live focus mode) and just leave it there. These things should have been mentioned, I never mentioned the Pro mode.
@@MPQHD7 Your initial comment that I intentionally favored the Pixel is false. I presented positives and negatives from both phones. I think what you're getting at, is that if I don't mention every single camera setting, I'm trying to make one phone appear better than the other. Each phone has multiple different settings or you can download third party apps to make your photos better. I choose not to cover every single setting. We would be here all day lol. So again, this video was with everything in Auto....on both phones.
I wish the pixel had 3 cameras, (normal, ultra wide and telephoto) that would be amazing, I would love for Google to release a flagship spec pixel, even if it was the same price as a flagship Samsung phone
Note phones have always been my favorite, too bad I never had money to buy them
Got a new pixel 5 today. I miss face unlock on my 4xl
Any other comments or differences? (Had the 4Xl as well)
Hey, fellow St Louisian.
Does the pixel selfie flip photos still or can you change it in settings?
You can choose whatever you want in the settings.
@@b11480 that's good, had pixel 3 and you couldn't..
Must of been in a recent update
One the best comparison i seen on UA-cam coz every one is like note 20 ultra is good nd all but let me tell u i been note 10 Plus (sold) user nd pixels too but pixel do way way better job in photos nd video i know note 20 ultra is good but if u use day to day to u will like pixel more nd more where u need to edit photos little in note... Personal experience nd most of the people use camera straight out of pocket so...
Do a video pixel 5 vs non ultra note 20
Wth that stabilizations after all the wobbling?
Pixel does great job keeping colors natural but looks washed out in videos a bit....
N20U does do its own saturation and tone up but catches more detail....
#front #facing.
I own both phones but I prefer my Google Pixel 5. I do miss my Pixel 4 for group photos and selfies.
Great video. Unfortunately the two phones themselves are completely different. I've been a HUGE Google smartphone fan for years, having owned almost every product. I've NOT been a Samsung fan and have sold several Galaxy and Note devices quickly after buying them, and at a significant loss, because I didn't like them. This year, I decided to give Samsung a chance because Google choose NOT to offer a flagship. The Pixel 5 is a huge disappointment in terms of display size and especially specs. So I bought a Note 20 Ultra after watching and reading all the reviews. I have to say: this Note 20 Ultra is SPECTACULAR. I LOVE this phone. I love all the control and settings available to you with both the phone and its camera's. I have to say, Samsung "hit it out of the park" with this Note 20 Ultra.
Samsung has stepped up a lot since S10+
Pixel good but time for new hardware now.ultra zoom very good especially around 10x.
Signing up here and now for a giveaway of the green pixel 5.. hey it could happen
Nice video
You never mentioned the price points 😃
Real solid video. A little weird that the best phone cam on the market is catching up with pixel like....bro so much stuff in the ultra and it's like the same sensors in the pixel 5 as last pixel
@@jamesshaeffer-nv4kq that would've taken way too long as both softwares have a ton of features but straight out of the box your average customer isn't a photographer, also the best strength of a pixel is that right out the pocket it's ready for instagram with very little difficulty. if you have to sit there and fidget with it's settings before you take the pic you're asking a lot of the subject.
The Pixel 5 is really good but the best would have been the Pixel 4a 5G if the software processing had not been different. Google should mention it, it's not cool.
With the market prices on both,i'll choose pixel 5 for sure
At 1:47 the samsung removed a small part of your eye:)
I have both and they're very good cameras
Yo, Dr Dre!
Great video! I think Google should throw an update and let the ffc record in 1440p at least like the S9.
You didn't do justice to the Ultra's camera!
Will u be doing a giveaway for pixel 5?
I'm a very proud Snapdragon S20 Ultra owner and in my opinion nobody needs more than 5x zoom in 99.9% of scenarios. The Competition has definitely caught up but Bravo Google, the fact that a phone can compete for literally half the price is Amazing 👏 👏👏
Sound recording quality is incredibly higher in Pixel 5 than in Samsung... A good point!
Maybe on that video - but not necessarily overall - I have the NOTE 20 ULTRA and got great feedback on the recordings I sent my agent using the MP3 recorder app. They were very impressed with the quality. (Last phone, Pixel 4 XL)
Pixel needs better hardware. They should use the same sensors as the 8 pro. Would go well with a 120hz screen, and an 865+
nah nobody wants or need that, software>hardware
Bigger sensor = other problems to deal with. Or more MP = smaller pixels = forced to do pixel binning for low light situations.
Google say that they do well because they know their sensor as they used it for a few years. But I don't think they'll will keep it for too long. I wouldn't be surprised if they're already working on a new one.
I think that the Sony imx 550 Is the next sensor they gonna use
Then they will priced that pixel for $1299 & everyone will complaint 🤔
Google is done with qualcomm SoC's
I’m impressed with Pixel 5’s camera.
In the battle of David and Goliath I believe David wins. Wow around 500 dollars cheaper you can't go wrong.
Samsung video mode seems better but the audio is horrendous. I owned the original pixel and I loved that phone but upgraded to the note 10 plus for the better camera and it was rather disappointing, the video quality was a huge improvement
Did you get robbed at the end🤣?
Although I must admit, The Galaxy Note does have a better camera view, I prefer to stay with the google pixel, Mainly because I believe in my opinion it has better quality (Other than the cam of course)
Got a Note 20 Ultra but I use Gcam 7.18 for photos, so I have a Pixel 5 coming in a few days. It's going to be good to change from Samsung, bulky, heavy, black phones, but I'll miss the storage and memory expansion.
That will be the occasion to use more cloud solutions that I never really needed so far.
S20 Ultra and Note 20 Ultra do well for videos but Filmicpro makes this even better. Issue, Samsung always blocks third party apps from accessing some camera stuff: higher resolutions or framerates, extra lenses, sometimes raw. Going to a pixel should make it easier to use other apps for video recording, adding some extra bitrate and flat profile to the mix.
How do the pictures come out using gcam
I would like to thank you for giving such a good camera comparison. Cheers
Hope you didn't get mugged while completing this video. Ha Ha Ha
Note has better zoom, Pixel has better video sound.
I think Pixel has better details mostly..
Huge difference in prices..
For it being a much cheaper device, you got to give it to the Pixel 5. Yeah, obviously nothing beats the Note 20 Ultra, but the Pixel 5 is definitely the closest right now. iPhone 12 right after it.
Pixel 5 is significantly better in my opinion considering the price
Yeah Pixel's color science dynamic range tone mapping and contrast are superior imo
Just curious. If we can forget about the price, which phone do you think is better, and why?
@@fernandoz2023 here's the rundown. Samsung's got the specs and Google's got the software. Which do you care more about will determine which phone you prefer. Me personally, I'm looking for a convenient phone. One that can fit in my pocket and one hand able and does everything I need with minimal effort. But maybe you're the power user who needs the pen, raw horsepower, or you adore big and beautiful screens. Completely subjective here but I don't like Samsung's skin of android, I prefer the pixel launcher. I've been with pixel since the first gen one and it's just something about the whole package of pixel phones that keeps me hooked
5:37 Pixel a real winner. Samsung's camera is good except Live Focus.
I think you'll find the price difference is the real winner
U can buy 2 Pixel 5s for Ultra. No more comments there
First time I've heard the Note 20 Ultra referred to as the Big Dawg of cameras. It looks great on on the spec sheet. In real life; not so much.
Honestly the Samsung has the top tier specs, but as an average user, the pixel is enough and it delivers.
Everyother youtuber comparing pixel 5 with s20fe like it cant hang with the ultra and you just proved otherwise. Great review!
Exactly.
PixL5 Good nice camera winner
Front facing video: Samsung right off the bat but Pixel 5 won in most photos.
Live kab aaoge
Chup
Wow! Pixel 5 just love....
Google Pixel 5👌👍
me microphone sounds better on the pixel coming from a note 20u user
Watching in 144p 🧐
I don't why but note 10 plus has better front camera
I own the Note 20 Ultra and seriously regret getting it. The camera sucks. It cannot cope with anything that moves. Kids, pets, slight movement even in still images become blurry or the detail ends up looking like a 480p image. I noticed anything other than bright lighting, animals fur becomes like a badly detailed oil painting.
Even my Pixel 2 XL produced better images, and this is evident when I go back through my gallery, I can see just how much the Note 20 Ultra is struggling to focus and maintain detail in anything other than perfect lighting or perfectly still objects.
I think I'm actually willing to sell this Note as long as I get the cash to get a Pixel 5.
