Hello, my name is Nicholas from Dar es salaam, Tanzania. I'm a huge iPhone fan(always have been) though I've never actually owned one, I've always had a bit of an experience of how the iPhones iOS is and how it works as compared to the android phones from my friends who own them. I previously owned a Samsung Galaxy S5, then I was later gifted a Sony Xperia Z2(which was later stolen after 3 years), and now I'm using the Samsung Galaxy A10s. However I was once a proud owner of an iPod mini back in 2008. The reason as to why I've never gotten an iPhone is the high prices at the time of the launch of any of the latest iPhones on the market, and I've never wanted to get a refurbished phone. I'd always recommend anyone to get the latest iPhone on the market regardless of its price because apple always supports its latest devices the longest. I'd go for the iPhone 12 Pro Max, but ofcourse I'd be satisfied with the iPhone 12 Pro with the largest storage capacity(1. Pacific Blue or 2. Graphite). If I was to go for the non Pro models, then the iPhone 12(Black ONLY) would be my only choice, ofcourse with the largest storage capacity for all the media I'd have in, and I'd also not have to worry about how much space I've got left everytime I update any software I have on it. Last but not least, the 60HZ refresh rate is "VERY" okey! Thanks for the videos Daniel, you've got one fan in the entire of Africa watching :-)

Great job Daniel and Co! I watched on a Galaxy S10 and big screen Samsung TV while looking for new phone and trying to watch the pennies. I have been an iPhone user for my whole life and i was literaly ready to buy the iPhone 12 pro max (t was already in my shopping cart). But then i went to yt and this video was the first one recommended... 37 minutes and 29 seconds later I was shocked. I picked Pixel four times, iPhone five times, Samsung galaxy s20 fe nine times and note 20 ultra 21 times. I was shocked bcs I always bought iPhone for their camera but now it turns out it sucks... Now i realised that the only thing Apple ever did well was advertising.
Great video! In the future, could you make the photos fill the whole screen without gaps on the sides? Your camera comparisons are my favorite, but even watching on a laptop in 4k, it is hard to see differences in sharpness and detail.
Thanks for the video. If you had taken out the Note 20 Ultra, would the iPhone 12 had a bigger lead? Would the S20 FE had been closer or the Pixel 5 had more points?
Ive been a pixel owner since the first pixel was launched and ingenuity think my preference had been tuned to the pixel's style. I picked so many toss ups in favor of the order pixel in this blind test.
This was so bad, I had to double check I wasn't watching ”How to do an unbiased camera comparison" by The Verge. His criteria for success in one photo set is then ignored for the next set in favour of some random factor. Whilst I understand that these were your picks according to your preference s, some of your choices are quite baffling. In one set of nighttime selfies, only one camera captured your face so that is wasn't just a dark silhouette but you didn't chose that one, you chose one of the unusable dark ones because the brighter one ”wasn't the look you were going for". Just... baffling. The scoring was also quite abitary. In a lot of cases, 1st and 2nd were very close and came down to a matter of personal preference but only 1st got a point. This gives a very skewed result that doesn't really represent reality. For example, I felt the Pixel 5 was often a close second but despite not being the absolute best, it was fairly consistent overall. I felt the most inconsistent results was the iPhone. It was good in some situations but when it was bad, it was a hot mess. However, you would never know this judging by their respective scores. I would rather a camera that performs at 85% across the board than one that is great in some areas but trash in most others. A more nuanced scoring system would be way more informative and accurate. I won't even go into the obvious bias indicated by your commentary as that carcass has already been picked clean.
Things to consider: I've seen some UA-camrs illustrate through video samples an issue with night flaring from light sources on the iPhone 12's in video mode. I'm not sure if it's as big an issue with the Note 20 Ultra. Second, there seem to be some issues with the screens on many of the new iPhone 12's. Not sure if that's a hardware or software issue. Lastly, in terms of overall features and versatility it's really hard to beat the Note 20 Ultra.(Yes, I know this video was strictly a camera comparison). But from an overall value perspective, I think the Note 20 Ultra is tough to beat (aside from the whole Apple ecosystem thing).
iPhone is the best example for the quote that says “Quality Over Quantity” all those big numbers on Samsung was just blown away by Apple’s 12 MegaPixel? Wow, I'm impressed!
If there was only one Samsung there then it probably would have won. Not reviewing the clip again to do the math, but since I've just ordered an FE.. I'm really looking forward to it right now. :) Great test. Most comprehensive I've seen so far and fairly judged, with only one or two questionable picks. Solid work, sir.
There are certain pictures you can pick are each phone a soon as you look at them. IPhone warm colours, pixel blur is higher colours are cooler narrower wide angle etc.
One thing regarding slow motion, both samsung phones have super slow motion 960 fps at 720p and slow motion 240fsp at 1080. This wasn't i right pick...
22:20 "the iPhone did the worst" "S20 FE did surprinsingly good in terms of sharpness" seriously?? I know when it comes to this subject so many things are very personal, but man... anyway, thank you for the video!
I picked Pix 5 as my first choice 13 times, S20fe 12 times, but pix was only my 2nd choice 8 times, while s20fe was my 2nd choice 14 times 😮😮😮 Pix was my last choice 8 times, and the s20fe 7 times. I may have lost track of my points somewhere though 😥 but only by a small margine of error.
I'm ready to upgrade from a Samsung S 9+, the camera is of utmost importance to me and I want to stay with a Samsung, heavily considering the Note Ultra because of the higher megapixel count but the S20FE is HALF the price and certainly gives the Note a run for its money, I would think if I took an image from both, enlarged and cropped the images the Note would win in clarity because of its higher pixel count
That’s makes me wonder where the 12 Pro would fit... I own the 12 Pro and from what I’ve seen so far, I find the 12 Pro Max too large to carry around for the subtle photographic difference. What do you think, Daniel @ZONEofTECH ?
Current Galaxy Note 10 Plus user, my last 5 phones have been Samsung so not too surprising for me. iPhone 12 Pro Max: 5 Note 20 Ultra: 15 Pixel 5: 10 S20 FE: 9
in small town it really out of stock. even i pre order also out of stock ;-; i think because someone just pay faster than me so mine pre order is gone.. need to wait until december or january 2021
For my scores 16 -S20 FE 15- iPhone 12 Pro Max 12- Note 20 Ultra 3- Pixel 5 I was surprise with the iPhone when I never own one but I’m familiar with them. I’m not surprised that the S20 FE won cuz I love my Samsung been using it for a long time now.
I was leaning towards the Pixel 5 for it's natural looking photos. It looks like if you were standing in front of the image and not having a beauty filter smeared over it. Isn't that the point of an unedited photo, you want it true to life? It's a little wild people pick overtly saturated photos while claiming they're the best photography. The Note 20U is second best, it has some filtering but it's more crisp and presentable while P5's older sensor is struggling.
its not about who paid who, its more about preference. For example i prefer the darker more contrasty look of the pixel photos. They didnt pay me, infact i paid them for 2 of their phones. Its just a preference just like some prefer bright (imo overexposed) photos from the iphone
Hey Daniel, i really like your videos i think they're really good. One comment though. Could you make a camera comparison test when you give points for each shots instead of just picking the best? I mean like the worst is 1 point and the best is 4 points (if you have 4 phones) and see which has the most amount of points. I think it would be interesting to see if there is any different result

I have the s20 fe it's amazing
I think in the raw section, it is also important to note that you can take Night Sight and Astro raw DNG shots on the Pixel.
I have 14 for the iPhone 12 Pro Max, 7 for the Pixel 5, 6 for the Note20 Ultra and 12 for the S20 FE. I'm very impressed with the FE.
Watching this on iPhone 12 Pro Max 🔥
@@ishanpershetka2049 HAHAHAHAHAHAA
@@ishanpershetka2049 if no one cared then no one would like my comment!
I’m also watching this video on my iPhone 12 Pro Max - Pacific Blue 256GB

Imagine if anyone cared
I Actually wanna see a Comparison of the Mate 40 Pro :)
The cameras on the note on android 11 beta have been greatly improved.
I have the Note 20 Ultra and I hope Samsung has fixed the low light quality on videos and front cam!
Him picks one photo:
Him after the reveal: "huh... interesting."
This guy made such a great effort to make this video with FOUR PHONES and he only got 2k likes? Come on, guys... Seriously
Iphone 12 Pro with Iphone 12 Pro "MAX" are different quality of camera
As someone that aquired an S20 fe like 2 days ago. I am very please that it's doing fairly well :D
5:26 Google pixel adjust shadows and sun both look pretty good but u give vott iphone 12 why?
Great video! In the future, could you make the photos fill the whole screen without gaps on the sides? Your camera comparisons are my favorite, but even watching on a laptop in 4k, it is hard to see differences in sharpness and detail.
I've used both the 12 pro max and the note 20 ultra. Tbh, I like both and they have thier advantages and disadvantages
This is totally a bias review... everytime he pick and favour iphone 🙄 just wasted my 7mins of my life
Portrait mode makes me fall more in love with you xD
Me too
Is it just me or was this guy purposely try to look the the Iphone's photo and pick that? Idk
My scores
Note 20 ultra -14
Iphone 12 pro max-11
S20 fe -12
Pixel -3
👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Thanks for the video. If you had taken out the Note 20 Ultra, would the iPhone 12 had a bigger lead? Would the S20 FE had been closer or the Pixel 5 had more points?
S20FE 15
Iphone 6
S20Ultra 6
Pixel 3
FE:16
iPhone:10
Ultra:9
Pixel:4
And yes, I would like the Huawei Mate 40 Pro in a camera comparison
I appreciate you @ZONEofTECH for your hard work on these camera comparisons. Thank you and keep making comparison vids. They are really useful.
This is an amazing video, but please next time bring a photography expert so judgements are more legit. Congrats on your amazing work

I always look forward to Zone of Tech videos, I’m waiting for your not 1, not 5, not 10 but 20 top smartphones of 2020 👀😁
And the topper will always be his laptop brand, his fav
Any idea about s20 fe win all rounds? Thats my choice
The quality just starting the video is insane. Love all the hard work you do to make these videos!!
I picked
Pix 5 as my first choice 13 times, S20fe 12 times, but pix was only my 2nd choice 8 times, while s20fe was my 2nd choice 14 times 😮😮😮
Pix was my last choice 8 times, and the s20fe 7 times.
Current Galaxy Note 10 Plus user, my last 5 phones have been Samsung so not too surprising for me.
iPhone 12 Pro Max: 5
Note 20 Ultra: 15
Pixel 5: 10
S20 FE: 9
For people using Mac, iPad and apple watch, I don't think there is a second choice if they happen to wanting a new phone.
9:40 you forgot to give the point to the Note 20 ultra.
And give the point to 12 Pro Max ☝️
It's a biased hence 40 tests. By any how he is willing for 12.
now iphone 12 pro max is still out of stock ;-; sad

Proud to be S20 fe 5g user👀🔥
I like how you did the camera / photo review. It shows an unbiased review
Unbiased?
Sarcasm 😂
For my scores
16 -S20 FE
15- iPhone 12 Pro Max
12- Note 20 Ultra
3- Pixel 5
I was surprise with the iPhone when I never own one but I’m familiar with them. I’m not surprised that the S20 FE won cuz I love my Samsung been using it for a long time now.
What you choose is eyes touching, bright photo. Definitely the iPhone 12 pro Max doing the best among of them.
When you start with the confirmation bias that the iPhone is going to be the best, it’s not a fair test.
When phones other than iphone wins...he is surprised 😂😂
Maybe cause is more expensive
I was leaning towards the Pixel 5 for it's natural looking photos. It looks like if you were standing in front of the image and not having a beauty filter smeared over it. Isn't that the point of an unedited photo, you want it true to life? It's a little wild people pick overtly saturated photos while claiming they're the best photography. The Note 20U is second best, it has some filtering but it's more crisp and presentable while P5's older sensor is struggling.
How much did Apple pay you bud?
A copyright strike
@@ZONEofTECH eyy, got the reply, btw you made a mistake at 10:05, you gave the point to the N20U but the iphone got the actual point..
its not about who paid who, its more about preference. For example i prefer the darker more contrasty look of the pixel photos. They didnt pay me, infact i paid them for 2 of their phones. Its just a preference just like some prefer bright (imo overexposed) photos from the iphone
S10 FE - 13
Note 20 Ultra - 10
Pixel 5 - 8
Iphone 12 pro max - 8
Hey Daniel,
i really like your videos i think they're really good. One comment though. Could you make a camera comparison test when you give points for each shots instead of just picking the best? I mean like the worst is 1 point and the best is 4 points (if you have 4 phones) and see which has the most amount of points. I think it would be interesting to see if there is any different result
