The embroidery pictures are absolutely beautiful. I really like the color you have chosen for your bathroom. I know it will be gorgeous. The plastic floral frames are gorgeous, the glaze brings out so much detail. You truly bring out the beauty in everything you makeover.
The needle point pics are DARLING!!! Even the mistake of the transfer turned out very well and added to the look of aged. I love all of them! Great ideas Lisa!!🥰
Hi Lisa. These projects turned out Beautifully. Nicely Done my dear friend. You sure manage to find some awesome pieces to thrift over. TYFS (Pauline S)
The needlepoint pictures finished beautifully, eyeshadow stencilling is a great idea, so pretty. You work in a very relaxed manner which is such a treat, you don't aim for perfection yet your projects are just that. Thank you so much, I am having a lovely time watching past videos 🌺
I just love all these. The sea glass color is wonderful. I bought some sea glass spray paint to use on some clear vases. I got one can in green and other in blue. The little box at the end was my favorite. I do love the look of cross-stitch. I have an old 6 pane window hanging over my bed with each pane as a frame for some of my own cross stitching. I like the older looking patterns best. Thank you for sharing, Lisa. I love all you do.
The pictures are beautiful…I never would have thought of painting the needlepoint! I love the tray, too. Blue, green, and aqua, are my favorite colors and are in almost every room of my home. I love the calm and soothing way you present your projects. Thank you‼️😊.
I like how the needle point pictures turned out overall and I'm intrigued with the slight stenciling on the mats. Look forward to your bathroom tour when it's ready.
Lisa thank you for showing us that we can paint the mats and the needle points. I learn so much from watching your videos. Everything is just beautiful
All of these are beautiful, my friend! I stopped by my local DixieBelle paint connection today and bought some sea glass paint. Thank you for sharing your projects with us! Many blessings!
Hi Lisa, i LOVE your color scheme and what you have done with these items. I just wanted to add a couple of comments. 1. I usually don't paint the base brown/black. I paint my green (also my favorite colo) snd then ADD distress lines with a brown or black paint and a very small paint brush. 2. Regarding too dark ornate wall decor. You made them dark with a chalk paint wash? Well, just use a wet towel to lighten that "stain" or, what i do is use another color wash, buttercream, in this case. I play around with different "washes" until i get the desired effect. Yes, it takes time, but it's fun.
Love how the needle point pictures turned out they are beautiful 💜 I have a much larger long one that has been sitting, I wasn't quite sure how I wanted to redo it and now I know. Thank you for the inspiration I love watching your videos
You might try going over the dark pieces with the white wax. It will pull some of the brown off and mute what’s left. It works on some of my projects that way good luck! Your projects are beautiful
Yea... I would definitely go back in with buttercream and do a light dry brush and build back up some of the cream tone. These got way too muddy. Easy fix though, no need to repaint.
I always buy odd numbers.. never a pair lol...the 2 mold frames turned out dark but still pretty. Like mentioned below, just go over in white wax to lighten up🤍🤍🤍
I love how the tray turned out and I think the transfer adds to the dimension. Going to try the wax coloring tip. Does it have to be chalk or acrylic paint?
I messaged you a while back suggesting you use a paint inlay by IOD ( iron orchid designs) and you said you would consider it. Have you thought about it any further? I KNOW you would love using one and the results! You can sand them down and to distress them just like you love to do with all your projects, they add an entirely awesome look to everything. All of the makeovers that you do are so fabulous and I love watching you, I would just love to see you try and inlay. They come in many Fantastic options; florals, and much more. In any case I just thought I would circle back around and see if you had put any more thought into that suggestion
I have a question about waxed items. When you have an item that is heavily waxed, like the plastic box, what's the proper protocol for cleaning it? I know of it were wood, the wax will be somewhat absorbed into the wood. But with the plastic, there will be no absorption, and in a bathroom it will need to be dusted at least. I assume just wiped down with a damp rag? How long does it take for the wax to cure out enough to be cleaned?
That Sea Glass is so pretty, I Love the Colors of Blue, I am so sick of all the greens people are using, I hate the color Green and Brown, Just my opinion,
When I redo a framed piece, how worried should I be about the back of it? It's not shown but when I take off old tape and old adhesive etc, it looks unappealing. Do I even worry about that or will it sell as is?
The needlepoint and frames turned out beautiful, the colors really go well together.
Thank you sweet friend ❤️

If your glaze is too dark, you can always dry brush the original color back over the top of the raised areas.
Thank you so much dear friend ❤️. I did that today. Much better😉
I love how the tray turned out and I think the transfer adds to the dimension. Going to try the wax coloring tip. Does it have to be chalk or acrylic paint?

@@ourshabbycottage8553 glad I reminded you. I can’t wait for you to use one
Love what you have done with these thrift finds! Do you spray a sealer over the eyeshadow stenciling? Where did you get the shadow pallette?
Thank you sweet friend ❤️. I didn’t seal this because it will be behind glass. I got this eye shadow at Five Below.🙂

I will probably let it cure a couple of weeks then spray it with a clear sealer. Then I can clean it safely with a damp cloth🙂

Thank you sweet friend ❤️. I prefer blue as well.
When I redo a framed piece, how worried should I be about the back of it? It's not shown but when I take off old tape and old adhesive etc, it looks unappealing. Do I even worry about that or will it sell as is?
I don’t worry if I’m keeping it but I do think it affects resale. Sometimes I sand away paint from back or cover it with craft paper.
@@ourshabbycottage8553 ok, then I'll keep doing it. I did forget you said you were keeping it
Could you put white wax over your brown glazed pictures to lighten them?
Probably would help🙂
Where is a link to your shop?
I don’t add one but I thought about adding it.
Yes those plaques are way to dark,
Definitely 😉
