I have a 2022 blue monkey and it is amazing, it is my second bike and use for popping to the shops and country B roads rides, such a fun little machine. I also have a z400 which I love as well.
Thats the same colour I was loaned,, great little bike!
I’ve only ridden a Grom out of those three and had a right laugh on it.
Grom are fun. I sat on a off road version yesterday with proper suspension etc. Got me thinking.....

@@EpicMotorcycleAdventures na , Id rather have a VOGE 300 for that TBH and realistically I'd rarely get out to do any off roading....shame really working life gets in the way!

I can only base my opinion on looks since I haven't ridden any of them.
I would go in this order.. Grom, Monkey, and Dax. I have a feeling if I were able to ride them my opinion might be a bit different.

The Monkey is the only bike I've not swapped the seat out on. Such an all around comfortable bike. Plus it's the best looking in my humble opinion.
It has to be one of or "the" most comfortable seat on the market
@@exeterrider For sure. So much so, I had my Trail125 seat recrafted and modeled after the Monkey seat as much as possible. Huge improvement comfort wise. Plus looks cooler too.
Honda sure did break out the 125cc category and provided some great choices. I would be happy with all of them but more happy with the Monkey and less happy with the Grom.
Monkey and Grom are my besties : ) Monkey is king!

Honda Monkey 125 for me.
You can buy rear foot pegs for the Honda Monkey but you and your pillion have to be anorexics to fit on the seat.
I like the Honda DAX 125 and I am used to the clutchless gear changes as I have a Honda Wave 125 that I used in Bangkok for 6 years.
To me the Grom is a toy and I think the Honda CB300R makes more sense in all respects and is underrated.
Did you know I owned a 300R for 9 months? yes, they are good bikes but go under the radar often.
@@exeterrider Yes, I watched your review of the CB300R before buying the 2022 updated model. My Thai secretary's son has fallen in love with my Candy Red CB300R and taken it to use at university. I am now looking at buying a Kawasaki Z900RS as a retirement present for myself.

The Grom is a little bit cheaper, a little bit lower and a little bit lighter than the Monkey and looks more like a regular bike. In the end it will be down to ergonomics. The bulletproofness is why I'm going Honda.
