Gunpowder has been big business in Europe since it's introduction to the battlefield and the mining and quarrying industries. Very dangerous process with frequent explosions and fatalities amongst the workforce. The Hounslow Gunpowder Mills (actually located on the banks of the River Crane in Twickenham) recorded numerous explosions. One of them, in 1772, blew out all the decorative glass from the mansion of Horace Walpole in Strawberry Hill (about 1.5 miles away!). The manufacturing process is nicely depicted in the Tom Hardy TV series Taboo.
Thanks so much for sharing this!
Hi Freddie and Monica, ..We know you love the Land Rover Defender but have you seen its new rival: INEOS Grenadier, it's French and it's awesome, enough said, check out The Late Break Show.
I was a frequent visitor to Crane Park as a child and I was fascinated by what remained of the Mill there. I'm sure nothing of it remains today.
@@mslattery8710 I visit crane park often and the shot tower is listed and remains but little remains of the gun powder workings just evidence of some footings , spill heaps and water control sluices and the area much more overgrown than I remember back when I walked my dog back in the 1970 and 80s. Rewilded as they call it now.
Yeah ! Another fun day with Freddie and Monica and a motorcycle. It can be any bike, any where, and the story and presentation is always entertaining as well as informative. You perceptions are filled with lots of human interest and I find that very refreshing compared to other UA-cam creators. Keep up the great work!
Thank you so much Ric, really appreciated!🙂
Spot on. I absolutely concur.
What a great place to show us. You probably picked the best time of year to visit because in the summer the foliage would have obscured most of the buildings. I’m so glad you eventually put your gloves on near the beginning of the vlog. When I first rode a bike an old biker told me to always wear gloves. I didn’t listen until I came off and took off a lot of skin from my hands.
That’s a very good point- it was hard enough to initially see them with no leaves!😳
Ahhhh this is a painful lesson- you are right🧤
Freddie, a little tip for slow speed manoeuvres. Yes you are right to always look at where you want to go, but try riding the back brake, hold it like you're on a slope and then you'll feel the bike dip down at the back and almost glue itself to the road. It's magic.
I will definitely do this from now on, thanks Terry
Also on viscious hair pin bends it really does stabilise the bike same as mtb
Brilliant video Freddie & Monika. The scenery around the gunpowder factory is incredible !🏴
Thanks Mike!🙂🏴
Interesting vlog Freddie, we have very similar forgotten gun powder and ammunitions factories in South Wales, the buildings are built strategically distanced to avoid a chain reaction in case of an explosion, also the buildings that were at risk of an explosion were built with a type of 'relief valve' in their structure so to lesson the force of any explosion.
Interesting- that must be the reason these were spaced out in such a way, too!
I think 150 miles on the Dax is probably quite easy to manage, my Monkey averaged 134,5 miles to the gallon (2,1l/100km). But who cares about the costs, they are so much fun.
Thanks for another good video, have a safe journey home.
Most 125cc Hondas are fuel economy miracles. 1.5 liters +/- per 100 km for almost all types with the horizontal cylinder (incl. Innova and Wave), and also my scooter Honda Forza 125 with the full 15 hp of this category consumes an average of only 2.1 liters per 100 km (after a total of 20,000 kilometers).
Thanks both for confirming this. Incredible figures and I agree; above all else, they’re so fun!
Really? My Monkey average is exactly 1.5 liters if I go around careless. But If drive it with some care, I do averages of 1,28l/100km.
What an astonishing place. IWe did have to laugh at the beginning ...Monika, "What? When?" My wife would not have set foot in the place, so kudos to you both!! And thank you for the history...the fact that the "gunpowder" was probably for mining is interesting. So glad we weren't "working class" back then. And with nature taking it back...special vid guys that you probably didn't even think would happen. But it is special, and thanks.
It’d have been a tough life back then for the working class😳
Thanks Mantarayal🙂
OK, this is Andy your resident Cornish correspondent here handing out the corrections as usual, LOL😉First off, It's Kennall Vale and it's a Nature Reserve operated by Cornwall Wildlife Trust. It is a favourite place of mine. There is a Kingfisher there! You didn't see the quarry pool off to the left, very atmospheric... Also, you will get Brownie points from Cornish Nationalists for calling it Kernow. Next, never, ever refer to it as a mere county, Region at least lol. Also, try out a few Cornish phrases such as Kernow Bys Vyken, or Onen Hag Oll. I'll leave you to look them up. Another couple of places in a similar vein are at Luxulyan where there are extensive remains including a giant water wheel and a Proper Viaduct. That is a Unesco World Heritage Site and finally there is another Gunpowder factory site at Upton towns near Hayle and the astounding Godrevy Lighthouse.
I enjoyed reading this!😃 Thank you so much- all very grateful saved and added to my list👌🏻👌🏻
Good old storytelling on a rainy Sunday morning. Great! Have a nice weekend and thank you once again for the work you put into this video.
Really glad you enjoyed it, have a great day!
What a lovely place, would have been nice to see more of Cornwall 😎But you frightened us passing that bus! 😮 S&J 🐘
thanks Freddiie and Monica . really interesting and a lovely bike as well. in the 1970s we owned as well as big bikes the honda c50 ,c70 and c 90 step throughs .great workhorses .rode them all year round ,both myself ,my wife and as a 10 year old our son used them when helping out at the local colliery yard bike training before proper training schools were introduced.
Yet another entertaining, educational, and well executed video! Brilliant. Thanks.
Thanks you both for the trip and once again another interesting place to visit , when were down that way . take care and see you on the next one😉👍👍
Thank you!🙂
Lovely film footage of the gun powder factory. Just love the Dax, too, so much character!
Thanks Mark!
Great coverage Freddie , perhaps a few photos at the end would be a great idea with all that running water would make for some spectacular long time exposure pics 😊 sad to see the DAX go.
Thanks James! Monika did snap a few for Instagram- they came out beautifully🙂
You’ve captured the atmosphere just right. Great video again. Makes you wonder how many other hidden gems we have in the UK 👍🏻
I couldn’t believe it, and this gunpowder factory was just 19 minutes from where we were staying😳
Your videos are a great way to bring positivity to my morning : ) I’m out riding, stopped for coffee, and am really enjoying your video!
Thank you Ravi, sending all my best!🙂
Beautiful scenery around the gunpowder factories. I love to explore places like that. And that Dax! I'm definitely getting one as a 2nd bike.
1:50 lightly applying the rear brake while on throttle will give you more control of the bike when cornering a tight space
When learning it felt so counter intuitive and I just wanted to use the clutch but once you get the hang of it, it really helps!
Another entertaining and scenic visit to the old gunppowder factory. I couldn't work out why they would need waterwheel power - bit of swotting required as I though gunpowder consisted of carbon, sulphur and saltpetre (potassium nitrate). But there is no doubt some power needed rather than just mix these up. Back in the good old days at secondary school my pals and I would make bombs created fom sodium nitrate (weedkiller) and sugar but I don't recommend it! Did Monika manage to ride pillion - the Dax looks v small.
Another winner! The gunpowder woodland had a Tolkien feel about it , like the elvern kingdom. Loving the wee Honda, I bet it is great fun.
It really was brilliant fun!😃🏍️
Such an interesting place you showed, Freddie! It remindes how history flies: what once was important now is abandoned, obsolete.... Spectacular scenes Monika filmed!
Thanks Palmyra🙂
At 9min 25sec it looks like a scene from Jurassic Park. Great video Freddie…beautiful part of the country is Cornwall and somewhere I always visit at least once a year. Stay safe you two 👍🇬🇧
I was going to say it feels like the old Tomb Raider PlayStation games, but I wasn’t sure if everyone would get the comparison😆
Great video as always Freddie, they seem so considered for the viewer, informative, interesting with a great balance of the passion for all things moto and the discovery of the environment around you. I often find myself watching your content on the big tv rather than my phone as they seem like mini documentaries. Can’t wait for a BBC series! Keep up the good work both yourself and Monika 👏🏻
So glad you enjoyed it, that’s very kind of you to say so, Matt🙂🙌🏻
What a place! In addition to your great videos, I also really like your choice of music. And so two days ago I not only discovered and subscribed to your channel, but also to the Epidemic 🙂
And another compliment: As I don't speak English as a native speaker, I can understand you very well. Even at 56, I'm still learning your beautiful language, and your videos are like language lessons for me 🙂
I’m delighted you found the channel, Volker!🙂
And thank you for the compliment- I’m glad you can understand everything. I often put subtitles on, but have forgotten to do so recently!
Have a great day🙂
Another excellent video, beautifully filmed and with entertaining narrative and interesting content. One piece of advice, do not ride up the near side of a stopping bus, pass on the offside especially as you were on a one way street with no risk of encountering oncoming traffic.
Thanks Gareth!🙂
Ohh Freddie what an incredibly beautiful part of the world! Cornwall is truly magnificent & majestic. Thanks to you & Monika’s energetic & creative spirit & work! Very much appreciated. Super cool folks⭐️
Thank you Steve🙂🙌🏻
Another lovely video from you two, favourite channel on UA-cam for sure! I learn from your videos but also enjoy your videos a ton, thanks.
That means a lot, thank you!
That was a very interesting video Freddie. It’s amazing how beautiful England is. That Dax just isn’t for me, but what the cost of fuel is over there I can see the appeal. Filled up my Harley springer two weeks ago, and 3 1/2 gallons cost me $13.00. I ran 140 miles before that fill up from full to the top.
That’s mind blowing!!😳⛽️
Freddie i had an Honda ST 70 built back in the 80's which is what the Dax is based on, i now live in America & the ST 70 is worth a fortune here & like you say i can see the Dax having a good residual resale value. I have thoroughly enjoyed your Cornish trip & will be there myself when i fly back for a vacation in May
Very interesting- I heard the Daxs carried on selling in the US after Honda pulled them from the European market. It’s quite rare that a little 125 does better in the US than Europe, but I’ve heard they’re loved there🇺🇸🙂
Love your videos, a wonderful blend of bikes and social history. Beautifully filmed by Monica - a real talent. I look forward to a few more vids when you visit the parents. The Great Flat Lode near Redruth is worth a look next time. A fine collection of cornish tin mine engine houses. Great stuff thank you
Thank you for this- I’ll save this spot of my next trip🙂
excellent insight to another time Freddie, I love that little Dax!
What a wonderful trip, thank you both!
Ron
Thank you for sharing your sence of wonderment at visiting this unique location. The woodland setting with the many little streams makes this a place of both tranquility and mystery.
Awesome video and awesome content Thanks Freddie and Monika
I absolutely love this channel and the way the videos are put together. . Don't change a thing..
Really appreciated, thanks Wayne🙌🏻🙌🏻
Thanks for taking us on your little trip to Cornwall. Those woods looked spooky enough in the daytime, yet alone in the dark! Really interesting though.
Agreed- it really is quite eerie even in the day!😳
Great video. I have the same engine in my CT125 and it gets 134 miles per US gallon, so your math is about spot on. Those skinny Cornish lanes are much more suitable to a small bike than almost any car, especially a big Defender. I encountered a Jaguar E-Type on one and have no idea how he could see around corners.
Great to hear your real world mpg, thanks for sharing this. I did have a few nervous moments in the Defender on those country lanes!😆
Coolest place you have been to so far . I don't believe in ghosts but if anyplace is haunted that is a good candidate . It is a beautiful spot . Love these kinds of video subjects
Great video... loved the bit where u overtook the bus on the inside and it looked like someone about to step out onto the back of the Dax.... keep up the good work, we've watched them all.
Both Devon and Cornwall for me have the most wonderful rivers and streams plus scenery in England Freddie . I have no doubts on that ,I don't count Scotland or wales in that because they are different countries and stand alone to me . Can you imagine working in that place and how dangerous it must have been .I have no clue what they used to make the powder though but it's very interesting stuff makes one think for sure .Awesome !! and when you look at those walls and how they still stand so strong after so many years how many modern buildings will stand that test of time I wonder .😉👌Well done guys great to see .
I was thinking just this- the buildings were made like fortresses!💪🏼
Enjoyed that.
Loving in Cornwall, when we go out of county, we light heartedly refer to it as going to England.
And those gunpowder mills and factories often had very flimsy roofs designed to blow off in an explosion. This was to hopefully leave the walls standing to enable an easier rebuild.
Loved this one Monika and Freddie - thank you!
Beautiful spot Freddie, and great video as always. That little Dax has really got you hooked! Just another example of what biking is all about, putting a smile on your face every time
Well, what can i say. Another outstanding video that gives an informative window into your travels. I'm struggling with the bike though. You extol its virtues very well but i just can't be inspired by it at all. Each to their own of course and the fact you love it is all that matters really. I keep getting images in my mind of paratroopers in WWII unpacking this from a crate and using it to get to the battle. After that its done and served its purpose. I'm not a lover of the Grom either but they are very popular so i am sure it will do well. Great stuff though and long may it continue. I am catching up on your older videos and enjoying them immensely.
Thanks so much, delighted you’re enjoying the videos! Great to hear your thoughts- the Dax does seem to be quite polarising😳
Just for information, there is a very similar gunpowder factory near Guildford. A nice walk.
First, the water sound made me have to urinate three times while watching it....... lol, second, loved the entire area you explored. Lastly, keep having fun!
😆
This was a pleasure to watch. Thank you..
Another great video, but please watch out for the bus passengers
Beautiful and mysterious setting for the gun powder factory. If there are many places like this in England I can see where J.R. Tolkien got some of his Hobbit inspiration. Thanks for giving me a window into places I will never have the opportunity to see.
It really did feel like an enchanted land- very fantasy-esque
That was a close shave somebody was about to get off that bus when you overtook on the inside
That was very interesting and now I’m researching this, thanks
Freddie, I blame you. I already have four bikes in the garage. I don’t need another one. Especially a 125 DAX! So far, Honda has no plans to import the DAX into the US. But😮not long after Honda ceased production on the DAX, a couple of companies in China started making clones. Nearly identical to the one I rode in 1969 but with a 125, semi automatic four speed. I ordered one this morning. Wish me luck reliving my youth😂
You did it. You lived my dream. I dream to ride Dax on a filthy winter country lines since I saw it in Thailand. I think it's perfect!
There was snow in Thailand? 🙂
@@Volker_GR I saw bike in Thailand but dream to ride it in UK
It’s so fun! I can imagine how cool they must’ve looked whizzing around Thailand!🤩
What jacket are you wearing Freddie? it’s a great look. I’ve loved the Cornwall Wheels & Scenery trip. Mush like I did the Isle of Wight trip after watching you, think I feel a Cornwall trip on its way.
Thanks Lisa, it’s the Triumph Mo Jungle Cloth Jacket in indigo. It’s not a motorbiking protective jacket (no armour) but it’s extremely tough and well made🙂👌🏻
Great place Freddie, you guys always manage to find the hidden gems! Might have missed it in a previous video but great jacket you have there, any chance you could give away the brand of this one? Greeting from a cold Lithuania 💪
Hi Wesley in Lithuania- fantastic!🇱🇹
Of course; the Triumph Mo Jungle Cloth Jacket in Indigo. It’s not a protective biker jacket, but it’s very warm and incredibly tough and well made🙂👌🏻
Great informative video Freddie.Had 3 ST70s back in the 70s & 80s, 2 red/silver and one blue/ silver as ' run-arounds ' , then the cheapest ' small ' bike you could buy.The value of those original bikes sky-rocketed , and the earlier all silver , ' flowery Paisley seat ' ones are worth a small fortune !.I can imagine a 125 version must be great from your enthusiasm as the ST70s were a little underpowered .Tempted between the 125 DAX or the Monkey which is especially cute !.
I’ve heard the originals are more expensive than the new ones! Although it’s hard for me to definitively tell as there are so few originals in the UK that I’ve been able to find!😳
The big reason I’d choose the Dax over the monkey is the twin seat, although I LOVE them both!😍
A crucial difference between the Dax and the Monkey. The Monkey doesn't allow for a pillion as it has a solo seat and the subframe can't handle the extra weight. It does provide giggles galore and a purity of ride that just draws out your inner child!
I no longer live in Cornwall and can only thank you for such excellent footage and review. Make the most of the Landy, the Dax and Kernows beauty!!
@@fortyfour1654 Thanks for your comment , I'm very well aware that the Monkey is a solo machine only and now as I rarely take a pillion and if I do out comes the Bonneville ,but I'm venturing towards that ' inner child ' and prefer the looks of the Monkey !.It would be nice to have both the Dax and Monkey ? !.
My first bike was the silver version with a flowery seat from Henstocks in Mansfield 1973.
@@tonyrobinson362 Probably on an ' L ' reg. Tony ?.Pity you didn't hang on to it , I saw an original one at auction last year with 2.5K genuine miles , not concours but very nice all round, original sales invoice - £5,500 with buyer's premium !.
If the Grom is sold over there, that's the best in the Honda Mini Moto lineup - It has a manual 5 speed, and can be had (in Canada) without ABS . Try one out...
Ahhhhh ok- I didn’t know this about the gearbox. This makes the Grom a better learner’s bike👌🏻
Grom and monkey both 5 speed on the latest models, quite a few prefer the 4 speed if fitting a big bore kit though as the 5 speed can only be upto 150cc whereas the 125 can be over 200cc but the 5 speed is a bit better in other ways, has a proper oil filter instead of the screen like on the 4 speed.
Great video, thanks for the history!!👍😎
You guys are the best. Great camera work, such interesting content, well crafted narrative…..and on it goes! Thanks again for a most worthwhile episode.
the chap filling up the yellow truck at the end of the video lives 1 mile from me ;
It’s a small world!🙂
Morning Freddie . From a cool Gibraltar .
Wish I was in Gibraltar! Hopefully get back for a visit later in the year.
Good morning Chris! I love Gibraltar- I’ve been many times for work in the past🙂🇬🇮
Have a great day!
@@FreddieDobbs cheers . My mum used to live in a bomb factory two days march from Gib “La Fabrica de Bombas “ in nearby Spain . It was the factory responsible for the cannon balls fired at Gibraltar in the “Great Siege “ of 1779 !
Cheers for your videos , they are class .
Thanks to you both . 👍🏻😎
Lovely video once again! So interesting about the history of the gunpowder factory.
Love your slow speed manoeuvres Freddie, reminded me of myself on MOD1 😂 The Dax looks a great fun bike.......!
No no no, you can't have it. It's a perfect little beauty for Monika to start her biking on. Buy it for her.
Good point!
£7 to do 150 miles? Move over electric bikes, please.
A most excellent steed. Like the original Mini, anyone could drive one anywhere.
Safe, happy travels 👍
It’s incredible! And also incredible that 125cc bike sales will be banned by 2030 in the UK😳
Great video man
Another great vid guys, freddie what make are your boots?
Thanks Colin! They’re Fracap
I think you can pull it off Freddie riding that bike being slim but I think anyone over 13 stone would look like the Michelin man on it.
This may be true and I think you’re spot on re the 13 stone point
Thanks for the tour of Cornwall
Good stuff again,if you revisit the isle of wight pop down the beachhut bembridge I'll get you a coffee.
Can you do a review on the best 125 adventure bike to own?
Thank you for the offer!🙂☕️
And I love this 125cc idea- I’ll try and borrow a couple over the summer
Imagine what it took to build those buildings there...beautiful area even without the historic value...i think you would have a very large garage full of all kinds of bikes if you could..lol..so far i dont think you have meet one you didnt love...LOL.excellent video as always...
So true- it is not an easily accessible area for building😳
This is true- I do get carried away!🏍️🏍️🏍️
@@FreddieDobbs i am the same way..lol..i think we would both have garages to rival Jay Leno's and Billy Joels..LOL
One should always be cognisant of the clothes one wears because that attire will be what you are wearing as a ghost. My choice is an old-fashioned fireman's helmet, a clown's comedy red nose, a string vest, a pink tutu, flippers and a sign on a stick that says "BOO!". I'm not dead yet but it works in my local Tesco.
Fabulous.
OH DEAR FREDDIE !!!! perhaps the near miss of that woman getting of the bus should have been edited out, HAHAAA, we live and learn.
Watched it at 0.25x speed - it was the bus driver, catching a breath 🙂
Ahh I know, but it wasn’t clear on camera that the bus driver did indicate. Probably a still a bit cheeky of me I know.
@@FreddieDobbs In any case, the bus was "not in service", see rear display. So no passenger, especially no granny in danger lol 🙂
I'm going to laugh when you go to lift the Bonnie to proper park. You really looked like you were going to take a drink to Monika's dismay. Loved the scenery and history, plus will miss the Defender/Dax.
No hope with the Bonneville! It feels very different being back with the Fiat and Bonneville now!
MAGICAL, UNBELIEVABLE, SPEECHLESS...
Gunpowder factories had very lightweight roofs and thick walls, so explosions went up and not out.
Yes. I've seen one where they put up extra high sand walls a few feet around each building, to shield them against each other.
Ahhhhh fascinating, thanks for sharing this🙂🙌🏻
Thanks a lot Freddie for these videos
I come from North Devon and my Cornish friend calls us the Devenish. Everyone else is The English. Apart from possibly the Summerset folk, who I think should be called Summersetters😊
I will definitely test ride the Dax.
I will definitely test ride the Dax.
I love this!😆 Thanks for sharing this, Lisa
And you’ll LOVE the Dax!
Wow, this is from last year? I havent been to GB in a while, never to Cornwall, it might still make a nice destination in itself it seems! Who would have thought, I imagined it was mostly for older people who enjoy caravaning :D
I've got the C125 cub, same engine and weight as the Dax. I'd give you my fuel figures but I've only owned it for 12 months, so haven't had the chance to fill it up yet ... But seriously its not even worth counting. I pay for petrol with coins in my jeans fob pocket. 👍
Great to hear from a Cub owner- I love the look of the new ones👌🏻
Monica has excelled herself with this video! 👏👏👏
Thanks Paul🙋🏻♀️
Cornwall is a special place, very fond memories there as a child. Have you ever been to North wales, around Gwynedd? I'm going to head back there this summer to ride and wild camp, highly recommend it. ✌
I’ve done bits of Wales, but Northern Wales is a trip I must try and do this summer, and wild camping sounds like a perfect option🏕️
@@FreddieDobbs nice well I highly reccomend it, the roads and scenery is absolutely stunning. Getting some camping, hiking and photography in too makes it a fantastic trip to ground oneself with nature.
Thank you.
My Varadero 125XL gives similar fuselage.
? A fuselage is the body of a plane!
Hey Freddie, great episode !!we’ve been enjoying the Cornwall trip! What are the the boots you are wearing?
Thanks Damian🙌🏻 They’re Fracap boots- traditional hiking boots hand made in Italy. As comfy as trainers and very rugged🙂👌🏻
Thanks for posting and very interesting. Re: the Dax…I just don’t see the point at the price point compared to a scooter or small-engined bigger bike.
Nearly @2.17......🤕
My honda anf innova125 which incidentally I did 77000miles on in 12 years which was 125 cc carb did 140mpg so fuel injection be slightly better. Thanks god for Honda. In 51 yrs of mcycling have never not owned a C50/70/90 or 125 used purely to commute. Changed the 125 for a second hand xmax250 advertised as seized. It was ……… the brakes left outside for 2 years flat battery etc by naive rich owner. What a revelation cruise at 70 fantastic weather protection, belt drive no chains to faff. However 65 mpg but such a hoot to ride. Have hired a 150cc Honda in Thailand and that can genuinely cruise at 60 the 125s let down imo. Incredible scenery looking that up next time.. you can feel the eerines bet in full foliage it’s a. …. Look behind you
I 100% share your love of Hondas, as well as 150cc ones in Thailand- they are indestructible!
It’d be an eerie place after dark at these gunpowder factories😳
What beautiful scenery and a great place to utilise the Dax, though I was worried you were going to take out that bloke getting off the bus 😂 must admit I'd have gone for the gap too. Looking forward to see if you do let go of the keys for the Defender when you drop it off, Monika better hold on to your wallet. Great video.
Thanks Dale! I was probably in the wrong, but the bus driver didn’t indicate and he stopped in the middle of the road and because I’m quite impatient, I just immediately went around😆
Knobbys...woods all day.nice
Enjoyable as always, but Freddie on a Dax? No way! You don't look right, but then I am a bit vain!🤣
😆
I was born on the site of a 400 plus year old gunpowder works in Chilworth (Surrey)
Double the age of this one, wow😳
@@FreddieDobbs off the top of my head, I believe 1620 ish until just after WW1. My father had a scary experience there, on the anniversary of an explosion that killed 5 men (although he didn't know that until later). The nearby Percy Arms, and Blackheath lane are also haunted. PS love your videos, we watch them here in the US🙏
Tip going past buses at bus stops, go round the other side 😬🙈
That was a naughty pass by the bus when it stopped to let off the passengers. A close call with that person who was about to alight from the bus. Careful please.
3:41 say you thought it was for cars, if the sign says motorcycles say you thought it meant full size motorcycles
Sounds like Cornish are the Texans of England
Stay cool Freddie.
Check your dates on the World Wars!
Thank you sir
