Great invention a life saver.
Having experienced a drivers steering blowout on my 45 diesel pusher you lose complete control of the steering as it pulls you directly into the ditch or oncoming traffic.
This is a must for every class A.

Michelin had similar product years ago that was really outstanding called their PAX system. Unfortunately consumers never adopted it but it was a terrific idea then and and this is a great idea today. I hope to help tell the story of this - absolutely a life saver.

Can these be put on back tires as well?
They can be put on the rear tires but it is not necessary. A rear end blow out does not present the same risks as a front end blow out.

$4500 per pair.
The price is $4,495 for the largest tire out there. That includes both front tires installed and balanced. It’s meant to be a lifetime purchase like Cutco knives. Should you have a blowout, regardless of whether or not there’s any damage to the Rettroband, we will replace and balance your tires with a brand new Rettroband free of charge.

The product looks fantastic and I am sure it works. However, good luck with finding a tire guy on the road that has the proper training to reinstall it in the new tire. Recently attended Motorcoach Expo and the Michelin engineer stated it should not be used in their tires. He didn’t elaborate all of the reasons other than safety and some issues surrounding how the 365’s are manufactured. I usually go with whatever the tire manufacturer guidance. Having said that, I’m cynical enough to also believe it might be fake news because it does nothing for Michlen

For what it’s worth, Michelin’s statements to you are in stark contrast to what Michelin’s OEM Product Technical Manager told me when they called on us. They confirmed to us once again that Rettroband doesn’t affect their warranty at all as it doesn’t come in contact with their tire until there’s an event causing their tire to deflate. At that point, they said they’re more interested or concerned about what caused their tire to deflate (blowout, stem failure, fatigue, etc.). You may also find it of interest that Michelin has requested to be present at our next round of testing on the track.
Lastly, I can’t predict what a mobile tire tech will do. However, you will still be alive to find out and deal with the issue. All that’s needed to remove the Rettroband is a socket. He probably won’t want to reinstall the Rettroband, but we don’t want him to. Our policy should you have a blowout is to please contact us and we’ll replace, install and balance with a brand new Rettroband regardless of whether there was damage from driving on it or not.
