- Paquerette Down the Bunburrows Part 9 - or at least enough to open the final bunburrow. After learning the advanced bunny catching tech, there are so many more possibilities open to me! I can't believe how well they hid right under my nose.

Buns will avoid exiting tunnels where they can see paquerette, that’s how the last home capture solve worked

I thought it was because buns prefer to turn left if they can? (As long as it doesn't lead to an obvious dead end)

@@electroterra They only turn left in tunnels if there is a dead-end (which means they need to choose either left or right), otherwise, they go straight. In this case though, the bunny has vision of paquerette, and it knows that going straight would mean going near her, so it chooses the other way even if it's not a dead end.
It’s honestly a real shame Tyler hadn’t figured that bit if ai out yet, since for me solving that puzzle was one of the most satisfying in the game because it really required you to have a solid understanding of bun ai, but it makes total sense that if you accidentally solve it without that knowledge it would feel incredibly unsatisfying
I gotta respect Tyler for his dedication to this one, there's no way in hell I'd have the patience to get all those baby bunnies.
Yeah. I was loving the game but finding that pillar killed my motivation.
I personally struggle with puzzle games and find it more entertaining to use a guide. There's some extremely crazy strats to get babies

I'd only play this for the music, but hey, this series is as good as the music imo.
Worth noting is that babies with the glitch bunnies don't count for the pillar. Others in the same stack do though. Also you will never have every baby. There are a few legacy ones because of a pathfinding update.
most likely baby bunnies that arent possible anymore wont count to the pillar,as that would be hella unfair,either that or it will eventually not count
This isn't quite true. All baby bunnies do count, but it's possible to get way more than intended.
@@thexp905 is correct. I am currently sitting at 583 bunnies, but I do not yet have every intended pair: I know for a fact that Tyler has paired some bunnies that I haven't. The baby bun pillar is still lit up for me.
(I do not believe that many of my pairs are possible without glitches. Briefly, by opening up the menu when placing or retrieving a cage, or when mining/shovelling a block, it is possible to cancel the action, but have buns react to the solid wall/floor or ghost cage as though it hadn't been. This enables pushing ALL the buns in the north barrow straight down to the end of the line, as well as pushing a lot of buns up into the north barrow altogether and mating THEM will ALL of the bunnies in the north barrow. I haven't even tried to do much non-obvious mating in the hell barrows yet . . .)
@@thexp905 The pillar wants the number of babies without mating with the glitch ones so every glitch mating means you need less "intended" aka non-glitch mating.

Pillar wants X babies (normal bunnies) but you can get X babies + Y babies (a glitch bunny is a parent)

Apparently there are 725 babies in total (I can vouch for at least over 650) and around 550 does the pillar want.
The highest stack I got was 15 bunnies.
To be fair it’s entirely possible there’s one or more undiscovered glitches which would allow the “legacy” buns

There's some final tech missing. If you push a bunny into another level, and enter another way yourself, both tiles will be broken. Allows for some unexpected mating opportunities
There is a world where he figures that out himself, but it would be nice it he saw this comment, he'd like it

i wish you luck on your baby bunny collecting adventure! its not a easy one to be sure. i just wish the game had a better way of telling which bunnies still have intended baby buns to make since the main struggle is knowing which bunnies still have buns to make
Do you actually need EVERY baby bunny to finish it? Or are there extra, and you just need a lot.
@@eragon78From what I heard, there's 700+ of them, but you need 500 of them and glitch baby bunnies don't count

Kinda weird that the glitch ones dont count though.
I am under the assumption that there's more game content coming, with some updates having added some extra glitch buns, and there being a path to double-south that Paq says "I can't go this way..." and then in a glitchy text box says "not yet at least". And part of the path to get to the pillar room has a required NE glitch room.
So the glitch stuff hasn't been well explained, but I get the feeling that the devs are working on adding more content to do with the glitches.
@@flabort Paq actually says "I can't go this way . . . yet" to every single possible way you can go NN, WW, SS, or EE, it's only on the glitch rooms that trying to exit to a non-room doesn't get that dialogue.
However, yes, there is indeed more game content coming, as the game itself tells you, (Tyler hasn't achieved that dialogue on-screen yet).
This is Part 9...and we STILL don't know about the bunny statues, the mechanics of this game just keep stacking higher and higher.
I hope they'll start moving when the 3 statues are filled, can't wait to see what they'll bring
Some of those baby bunny combinations are real mind-warpers. Here's hoping they release 1.11 with baby bun hints soon so Tyler can see just how crazy it can get.
I think there will be some combination event the game maker hasn't found. The game is crazy

That bunny whose actions confused you make sense. You thought it would exit the tunnel, see you, and double back.
However, it saw you _before_ it reached the junction, didn't want to get near you, and thus took the junction.
These bunnies seem to have absolutely zero concept of object permanence and that is adorable to me.

The biggest problem with baby bunnies in this game is no way of knowing if a particular bunny is "finished". There is a helpful doc on the discord
that tells you the highest bunny that is NOT finished, which helps so much.
Wow Tyler, the way you use stacked bunnies to bust and explode everywhere is truly inspiring.

I think the reason at 12:30 is that the bunny prefers to go straight when given the option, forcing it into the loop it was in

you know it's a good game when tyler has to change to his thinking shirts mid episode
At 12:19 the bunny prioritizes going straight first, then turning left, then turning right. It doesn't turn right (into the highlighted bit) because it sees the path straight ahead, then it turns left when it can and proceeds to loop until napping.
It feels like he does keep forgetting the "Bunnies always like to turn left" rule like in the last home capture level, but most of the time it doesn't feel like it's the biggest impact because you can just trial and error to see where the bunny wants to go
As much as i love watching tyler solve puzzles, I ABSOLUTELY NEED SOME NEW PEGLIN POGLIN CONTENT FROM HIM

i still have no idea how they calculated all the possible baby bunnies. actually, i have no idea how any of this game was designed. it's so unbelievably complex.
There should be a mechanic where the bunnies get little smiles the more they mate, up to a huge grin if they've done them all.

20:53 I noticed at C-5 that their might be a way for you to take the bunnies down by getting a bunny stack down the tunnel break through the rest of the tunnel.
22:19 You could push the middle bunny away from the long hallway and then use bait to get the stack out of the loop and continue the mating on the next levels. Unless im missing the fact that you simply cant get the bunnies down the hole.
Honestly seems like a game which could have some interesting games done quick potential.
Man, just wait till he realizes the potential with C-21. The design of that level sticks out like a sore thumb, an is trying to get you to stack 5 buns together to create the ultimate megastack!
Tyler if you haven't checked out Tunic, it is easily the coolest puzzle game I've played in years.

You should try to take the first floor bunnies of each hole and see if you can take em all the way down to the last floor of each hole
